The /Filmcast: After Dark - Ep. 27 (GUEST: Seth Gordon)

The /Filmcast: After Dark is a recording of what happens right after The /Filmcast is over, when the kids have gone to bed and the guys feel free to speak whatever is on their minds. In other words, it’s the leftover and disorganized ramblings, mindfarts, and brain diarrhea from The /Filmcast, all in one convenient audio file. In this episode, Dave, Peter, Devindra, and Adam are joined by special guest director Seth Gordon to chat about The King of Kong, Four Christmases, and the art of filmmaking. Thanks for all your questions, e-mails, and voicemails (781-583-1993)! Hit the jump to see the full list of topics.

Seth Gordon’s newest film, Four Christmases, starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, is in theaters today.

  • really great interview this week, guys!
  • Threw it on my iPod just now. I'll listen to it a bit later and let you know what I think. :P
  • We're all looking forward to it
  • So I'm done listening to it now. I thought it was great to hear more about "The King of Kong"-- especially what's happened since the documentary and the other projects Seth Gordon is working on. He seems like a really gentle guy overall and I really hope he's gonna go through with some of those other projects he mentioned. I watched TKOK with my brother when it came on G4 and literally a day after seeing the movie we had both changed our cell phone screensavers to say "never surrender." If you've seen it you'll get it. Sorry for the film geek moment but I had to let it out!
  • really good!!!!!

  • Why wasn't this just a featured interview with the director. It's great to hear what he has to say but kind of takes away from the whole After Dark premise.
