Jeff Bridges’ Iron Man Photo Diary

You probably know Jeff Bridges as an actor, but many people don’t know that he also dabbles in photography as a hobby. Bridges recently updated his online photo book with his behind the scenes Iron Man photos. There are lots of great stuff including a look inside Stan Winston studios, photos from early production meetings, a wardrobe test, and various sets from the film.

Check out the full album on JeffBridges.com. Thanks to Mr Babyman for the tip.

  • These photographs are fantastic! There's only one thing better than insight into behind-the-scenes of a blockbuster and that's when it is aesthetically appealing like this! I had no idea Jeff did this kind of thing as well, too cool.
  • Usually when a star ventures into something else it is crap, but these are some pretty good photos. I would like to see Jeff's other work outside of the movies.

Ah, is there nothing Jeff Bridges can't do? He IS the dude.
  • I AM A BIG FAN OF BASHING ACTORS WHO MAKE PHOTO DIARIES LIKE THESE. SORT OF RUBBING OUR FACE IN THE FACT THAT , YES, THEY WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY BE THERE, AND LET ME PUT THIS SCRAP BOOK TOGETHER TO REMIND PEOPLE THAT AND MAYBE MAKE SOME MORE MONEY! BUT, HEY, BRIDGES WAS AWESOME IN THIS FILM. JUST A DUMB MOVE HERE. ROCK N ROLL --- ~G

    PS: REALLY DUMB MOVE.
  • Bridges does this for every movie that he is involved with. I think they are a great way to see the making of the film that isn't all glammed up as a featurette on the DVD. Although, he has done that too.

i wouldn't say he dabbles or this is just a hobby, Bridges is a fairly serious photog.
  • His site is prehistoric. Seems he "dabbles" in html too.
  • Webb
he's got the gilliam tilt going on.
  • He uses a Wideomatic camera which are very old panorama cameras that move from left to right to catch the entire image. You can also do some pretty neat tricks with that like moving the camera back to the same spot for an alternate look having two objects within the same photo. They also included his pictures when he was on Seabiscuit. I love his stuff.
  • Jeff Bridges is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread. You can tell by his pictures that he's not a douchenozzle like I'm sure a lot of other people at his level in his profession are. He's in my top 5 greatest actors and w/ 4 Oscar nominations.. I can't wait to see him finally pull one in.
  • Wow, I did not know this. Excellent photographs, and I now have even more respect for Jeff (is that even possible?)

(On a sidenote: Mr.Babyman? Why is there Digg in my /Film? <.<)
  • This reminds me of David Carradine journals he kept while making kill bill. I like the hand writing on the photos as well.
  • jim
