Notorious Video Clip

USA Today has an exclusive clip from Fox Searchlight’s upcoming Notorious B.I.G. biopic, Notorious. The clip features newcomer Jamal Woolard as Chris Wallace who proposes to Antonique Smith as Faith Evans, after knowing her for only nine days. Woolard says the central question of the movie is — is Biggie a “bad guy trying to be good, or a good guy trying to be bad?” Your thoughts in the comments below!

That clip made me cringe a bit. Dont know what to think abou thits movie and I'm a Biggie fan.
  • That clip was almost "Get Rich or Die Trying" bad.
  • That clip was horrible. I don't care if I ever see this. Plus, is it just me or was there a huge jump cut in there when they kiss. From shot to shot it he turns his head to the other side of her face.
  • Shame they had to get a "bigger" guy to play him because that really skimmed down the choices for good actors...quite cringe worthy.
  • Are people really interested in these rappers because of their love lives?
  • I don't know. Not really anything there. Too short to jump to conclusions. I'll wait for more.
  • I had no faith in this film from the beginning and I was right it looks god awful. Unless you can make a movie about hip-hop that's at least as good as Hustle & Flow then don't bother.
  • If the rapper is married to one of the biggest R&B acts at the time while cheating on her with maybe the greatest female rapper to ever live they are. With that said this film looks really shitty.
  • ok. So you're saying people are interested in sensationalized paparazzi stories. Probably. But the overlap for people who are interested in both that and his music cant be very large. And along with being very poorly acted, filmed, and written this entire film looks quite quite uninteresting to a very good number of people myself included.
  • Same for me...I'm very skeptical now, I was really excited for this movie but now I don't know...
  • The editing is terrible. No single angle shot lasted longer than 2 seconds. I got whiplash just watching that it.

1 minute long.................. 30 cuts. Yowza. Most during the initial discussion of him convincing her to beatbox. That was chopped the hell up, leads to believe performances sucked, editor & director had to salvage what they could and patch few usable parts to complete the scene. Not a good sign and speaks poorly on actors' abilities.

as a fan of hip hop... this is terrible.. honestly... Eminem made 8 Mile and everybody thinks they can turn a hip hop story into a movie. I mean even Hustle & Flow was trying it's best to measure up to that film.... and 8 Mile is by no means a "great film". It was good... but... jeez.. I don't mean to go off topic but it's just a shame that movie makers are doing to hip-hop the same thing that record producers did to it. Throw half ass talent into star positions and hope that by sprinkling gold, moet, diamonds, and 808 kick drums on it... it's a hit! Unfortunately.. the american public will probably love this movie just as much as they love the crap that gets radio rotation these days.
  • Wow.. as a huge Biggie fan I can't say I wasn't excited after the theatrical trailer was released. After seeing this though.. = Looks like all this film is going to do is cause me to break out all of Biggie's old CDs (which is great actually)

1 minute long clip.................. had 30 cuts. Yowza. In Bourne Identity it is excusable, fight scenes, high paced action. But a scene with two people casually strolling down sidewalk?
