i think this proves just how dedicated peter is to /film & its readers: facing a regular slow friday news day, peter became determined to give us some cool shit to check out, and it worked! this is worlds better than some of the fake posters that usually sike you guys out on a daily basis!

seriously peter - the door with the almost 'birth-canal-glowing-light' - behind it?!?! this creates a very anticipated and eager mood, very dramatic and expressive. also its such a classic cinematic style to evoke. shots like these usually insinuate tons of fun - even if the fun spells doom for the characters, the audience gets all the fun. kick ass man.

Pretty Keen Peter. Seems like you got the point of a teaser poster, show nothing but the symbol. I actually like it more so than these rehashed character posters. If you play your cards right, maybe you can show Bad Robot this. Really neat.

Looking at the original photo, this should be the colour of the Enterprise, not Stark White but the muted gray. They can even make it a vibrant gray if they wanted to (which would be difficult since gray really isn't a colour and reflects almost nothing).

For a fan made poster, which are usually (not always) really shitty, this is absolutely great. I actually really like the concept behind this, and the execution doesn't look like a 12 year old did it. I could definitely see this in a theater. Very nice.

I dig it! They need some better posters because the character ones are kind of boring. However, it's still early. We'll hopefully see different ones at the beginning of the year with the Enterprise in it.

To be completely fair, most of this is part of a wallpaper file on the official star trek website. I didn't draw it myself. I just reconstructed the top of the hallway, something not included on the site, and created the poster layout.

A little yonic if you ask me. Although I guess the new Star Trek is about new beginnings, i.e. rebirths. Your poster shows the movie emerging from the glorious entryway at the beginning of the love (of sci-fi?) tunnel. HOT.

if i chose movies solely based on posters i would watch the fuck out of this movie over most of the posters for the movie already out. im not a fan of star wars but the cast outside of john cho and simon pegg look ridiculous. its like a gap commercial for nerds
