Lost Season 5 Premieres on January 21st

Lost will return on Wednesday, January 21st 2009. According to THR, ABC is scheduling a two hour fifth season premiere, which will be preceded by a one-hour clip show. I’m not sure of the origins of the new Lost Season 5 poster seen above, so I’m not sure its real (the inclusion of some key characters lead us to believe otherwise), but I found it on the Daily What via Paul Scheer. I love how the concept has evolved over the years.

    It has several people on it who aren't part of the show anymore. Claire is no longer part of the Losties. Michael and Jin are presumed dead. Locke is an Other now and dead in the future. The people are from a promo ad from a previous season. Not sure about the city in the bg.

    I don't think this is a real poster, as others have said, the cast is kind of wrong and if you look carefully, some of the palm trees in the city haven't been 'cut out' properly.
    I do love the concept though and hopefully ABC will create something similar.

    The art was given to the Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed blog, and then taken back. Hibberd said ABC had sent the wrong art for the story, and that the promo art isn't completed, hence its removal.

    I almost gave up on the show but last season ended up being really good and not sucky like the 3rd season, I hope this season is great. I just wonder if the show will ever be great great like the first season because I don't think it has been great since then, I thought the second season was pretty good, the third season sucked, and last season was really good but not great.

    I never got into Lost but something tells me I should get start renting dvds before January if it really is that great.

    I would believe if the promo is real.. the producers have already said "Death is a relative term, really."

    If this is fake, then it was still done by someone inside. I doubt that any fans can pay off the cast to wear a brand new wardrobe and pose for them.

    Also, those palm trees were left in intentionally.
