Great I should fly to Toronto to be apart of this craptastic sequel.

Honestly I enjoyed the first as a single contained storyline. Another one though...I don't think so.
  • VegaBro
    I just saw Dune
  • Adam B.
    so it's ACTUALLY being made?
I guess Troy Duffy finally came through, can't wait.
if only I lived in Toronto-- talk about a fanboy dream. :D

And the Troy Duffy/Boondock Saint's hate fest begins

Terrible title, at least take out the 2.
  • yeah i agree, sans 2 and the title works a lot better..
  • R_McCall
Troy Duffy, man? Legend? Idiot? What happened to his band (the one he relentlessly f**ked over in his pursuit for fame)? Poor guy, at least filmmaking keeps him off the streets.

Just call it "All Saints Day"

Not "Boondock Saints: All Saints Day"

anybody that thinks boondock saints is a good movie should go to the gun store, buy a gun, then precede to the highest building in their town (which probably isn't that big cause you're probably still living in your mom's basement in the suburbs), go to the top of the building, jump off said building, and then shoot yourself in the head on your way down, cause you sir, are wasting my oxygen.

    palin in 2012!!

to equate liking the boondock saints to liking sarak palin is the fucking dumbest thing i've ever heard. the movie is an entertaining, funny action movie, that's it, nothing more, so go back to your arthouse films that you think truely speak to you and touch your soul, and leave the rest of us alone to enjoy a little escapism every once in awhile

Boondock saints is a pile of garbage, trying to paint someone as an art-house loving snob for not liking it is laughable.

There are good action movies and then there are bad action movies, Boondock saints very much falls into the very bad category (funny to see the same defence used on that other piece of trash Wanted).

did anyone else notice this post was made with two different fonts?

oh no, boo hoo, people have different opinions on movies. go figure. i like boondock saints. i'm not saying it's oscar material, but it's entertaining. there's no way to argue against an opinion. i figure the sequel probably won't be that good, but there are plenty of people that will still end up seeing it, me being one of them. so long story short, if you hate the first one, don't see the second. end of story.

Every person I've ever encountered that is a fan of Boondock Saints has more or less been the type of kid who would walk around school in a trench coat or collect decorative weaponry.
  • Jmoney
well then phil i suggest you expand your circle of friends.

the only reason i answered that other guy's post is because there seems to an disproportionate amount of hate for this movie. no one is saying it's the godfather or pulp fiction. yes the acting could be better, and the director is a douche in real life, but the movie is still fun to watch, i'm just not sure why so many people feel the need to hate this movie. it's like you've all watched that documentary and because Troy Duffy fucked up his career that means his first movie must be ripped apart. if you don't watch that movie and enjoy the interaction between the brothers and with Rocco, and Dafoe's character then i think you take your movie watching a little too seriously, it's just good natured entertainment

Yea, tomorrow is my bday, and im a fan, and i live in toronto..?
isnt that like the sickest thing. :P cant wait.

its bad, cliche filmmaking. thats it. escapism entertainment is one thing, a bad film is something else. boondock saints is a bad film.

the reason people hate it is because too many people love it for no good reason, especially when there are a lot of struggling filmmakers with a voice making good films that do not get credit.

Pisser I wish this was being filmed in Boston! Instead we get Mel Gibson running around shutting down the city and being a dick. Why Toronto when Boston is right here, loving this movie and ready for her close up. Drag a beer through Southie and get all the extras you want.
