Even More Star Trek Photos

I know we’re probably all working on Star Trek overload, so I’ll keep this brief. Paramount Pictures has released another batch of photos in Entertainment Weekly. You can check out the previously released photos: Here and Here.

I'm still reminded of Mike Tyson when I see Bana's face tattoos...what was Abrams thinking??
  • 790
    He's dead Jim!
  • Very happy with what's been shown so far.

Never thought anyone but Gary Sinise could play "Bones 2" but Karl Urban looks like he lost a lot of weight for the role.

And even though we've seen Kirk only in the black - I expect that these shots are of him getting out of some dire situation and losing the top jersey that he will don the gold one sometime at the beginning of Act 2 for that "costume display moment"

While I was a big fan of the first few seasons of Alias - M:I3, Transformers, Lost and Fringe are all underwhelming to me...so here's hoping the material itself outshines the producers.

Warp Factor 10 to May 2009!
  • NO THANKS
Every time I see Kirk I just think of how he was a serial killer in Smokin Aces..

*whistles* whoo, its gonna be great!

What on earth appears to be happening with the marketing of the new'Star Trek', movie ?
So far,all of the still photos that have appeared online have been of complete unknowns. I believe in giving young up and coming talent their oppurtunity.
If you ask me,the director, JJ Abrams is playing a very dangerous game of leaving Winona Ryder out of the frame.Afterall, isn't she one of he main characters ?
Although she does appear slightly out of focus in one photo on your website on Wednesday.
I heard the two of them had their differences!

if they ever have to re cast Superman, my vote goes to Chris Pine

just look at them baby blues!

THIS SHOULD GO STRAIGHT TO CGHANNEL 13- PUBLIC TELEVISION. IT WILL BNE SOO BAD. GOOD FOR TEENAGE GIRLS, AND TEENAGE GEEKS. .. WHO DONTY HAVE ANY INCOME AND DONT GO TO THE MOVIES DURING RECESSIONS.. NEXT!!!

  • Go Goya
Today on Star Trek News: New pictures demonstrate JJ Abrams remarkable ability to direct his actors to look at the camera, and then look slightly to the right.

"It really is remarkable," commented Abrams, "Bana, Cho, Pine - they all have this incredible ability to look at the camera and then look slightly next to it, as if there were something there that the viewer couldn't see, because, you know, it's NEXT to the camera."
  • whatever
pine looks like what I pictured Anakin skywalker to really look like in the prequels. I wish this was a remake of the prequels instead of a remake of star trek.

    @Jetson:

There is no Warp Factor 10.. 9.9 is the highest you can go..

  • Mikey M
    Looks incredible.

Don't the Borg go up to warp 10?

This looks lame. please stop with the homo pics of the kid playing kirk. No more, stop it!

Bana looks like he's auditioning for the Darth Maul role ten years too late.

I wanted to see a good st movie, not st "re-imagined" and filtered through jj abrams. The guy is a quack.

    @Allynd D

Depends which show you go by. The original Star Trek used a different method of calculation that allowed you to semantically pass the 10.0 mark. The later generations of Star Trek used the 9.999999999 rule.
  • Philsauce
    One word: lol
  • 790
In the final TNG episode the "future" Enterprise went faster than Warp 10.
The Borg used TransWarp technology, (like opening up a wormhole),,,
  • @Allynd D @ilves @790

Love hearing this kind of talk - its been so long since I've dusted off the Concordance - I hope the film brings all this stuff back up again...think about seeing phasers, teleporters working and on the fritz, the galleileo 7 - hopefully the production designers go overboard on the fan service...you know i'll nerdgasm the first time they open a star chart and show the quadrants with the planet names in alpha...!!!!!
  • 790
Right on Jetson! I'm a huge trek geek fan,,, guy.

I'm kinda pissed were going back to the future but whatever,,,

I would be more impressed with a Director / Producer that had the balls to take on a Trek post Voyager!
    :-)
  • I am a big fan of Star Trek. Now I have collected the star trek dvd boxsets.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine 1-7
    Star Trek Enterprise 1-4
    Star Trek Voyager 1-7
Star Trek the next generation 1-7
    Stargate SG-1 1-10

Recently I find that star trek - the next generation dvd boxset is special offer on DVDSETSHOP (www.dvdsetshop.com). It looks good and cheap, I want to buy it. This is the last collection I want to collect. It's my favorite dvd website. I hope the special offer can last longer.

Now there's a look to the future: Buying a Star Trek library in the obsolete DVD format. Pretty funny.
