Entourage Renewed For Sixth Season

HBO’s hit series Entourage has been renewed for a sixth season, which will begin production in early 2009 for a Summer debut. I haven’t had the chance to catch up on this season of the show yet. Has Entourage lost it’s spark or is it better than ever?

You should ask David Chen, who seems to have a love/hate relationship with this show :)
  • The show is pretty much as good as it was in the first two seasons. Which is what fans want, the show is still hilarious and fun to talk about with friends. Ari Gold still carries the show while you are still interested in Vince's film career.

I still enjoy it, so hopefully other people enjoy it as much as my group of friends.

    Better than ever :)
  • Chuck Phoenix
Entourage.. It was amazing all the previous seasons. Started a bit slow, albeit awesome... but its been picking up and this last Joshua Tree episode was amazing.. haha
  • Luke
They've been re-using a couple of the plots from earlier seasons, but overall, I can't get enough of it. Especially last night's episode-- Ari on shrooms = win.
  • Dan
Ari bitch slapping Adam is enough for me. I love this show.
  • Dan
The new episodes have been awesome so far. It's a shame that the episodes are only 30 minutes, after watching them i feel like there is still so much left to see and I want more. I guess that's a good thing.
  • Ray Stanz
Tripping off Shrooms last night was hilarious.
  • This season is really good, they should rename it The Ari Gold show though ;)
  • joemamma
Yeah this season is pretty funny and going well. Hopefully this lets the story to further develop.
  • Jimmy
    Better then ever!

great last season kinda stunk up the place but this season is back on track :)
  • Stryker
Why would you guys ever use that photo? You know Drama is never photographed from the right side.

    Better than ever
  • Meli
I've only watched two episodes of this season so far, but it's been just as entertaining.
  • starvs
In general this season has been pretty solid, but this last episode (Joshua Tree) was basically the worst of the entire series. I still enjoy it though, so happy its coming back.
  • I think it is still good as ever. The characters have evolved a lot. Ari continues to be great but now borders on annoying sometimes. Drama is perhaps the best element in the show.

That being said - it is still a good show and makes me laugh and care about these guys.
  • pod
what? drama is by far the most annoying deuchebag arsehold of a character. if you think he is the best element then....sigh.
  • The current season is better than last season, but still not 100% as awesome as it was at one point. But, I will watch until it is cancelled, it is just that great!
  • Bill
i loved that e forgot how to talk in last night's episode
  • I have been watchin the show since the 1st season before all the hype love it then love it now.....i love being in the industry!!!
  • Sean
the show isnt better then ever. this season has potential to be a great one but the writers are just screwing it up. the sotyline is just dragged on and on.

I live in West Hollywood, and eat, drink, play everywhere those guys do. I feel bad for people thinking that is what it is really like here. I see famous fucks every day and they aren't rolling around 4 deep surrounded by pussy. I still watch the show, but it's so cheesy and ridiculous, and the writing is just tired.
Jeremy Piven winning an Emmy three years in a row for that role, is up surd. I laughed so hard when they wrote Ari that sentimental episode about his kids, and he got to tear up on camera. LAME!
In my opinion the series should have ended after Medeillan (sp?). How many times do we have to watch the boys meet at Urth Cafe, watch Drama and Turtle dash off on some dumb ass errand, and E get yelled at by Ari, while Vince stays the coolest looking, pigeon toed actor in Hollywood?
Boo on season 6, unless Turtle gets offed.

Hopefully they get some new story arcs; it is starting to get a little old.

E is the worst character in the fucking world. He brings absolutely nothing to the show and don't try to tell me they need that "nice best friend character." No one cares what happens to his shitty character.
  • Bull
Also, Showtime is blowing away HBO at this point. Californication, Weeds, and Dexter are better then anything on HBO (although True Blood isn't bad).
  • Tyrone
It started off slow but its getting better I like it
  • Honestly I have always enjoyed Entourage. I do not understand how people can differentiate between season quality so firmly
  • Phil
hi hatas, shows still good, they captured the shrroom experience VERY VERY well and accutrately while relating it all back to kevin dillons( johnny dramas) Role in the doors(oliver stone, 1991).
  • Galaxy Bird
This season is great. Every time an episode ends, I just wish I had another to watch.
  • Eric Bogosian
This show is the worst it has ever been, it's getting worse and worse and has no plot, it's just a recycled episode that i've watched over and over again.

I am one of the biggest Entourage fans out there. Ive memorized every line delivered by Drama. Having said that, I think they are moving away from what made the show so good, the crude humor. The first two seasons were funny as hell with alot of guy talk and bud smokin. Now it feels like they are tryin too hard to include plot twists and win emmys.
  • nick
Its finally back on track this season, just waiting for each episode!
  • Ive watched every episode since season 1, I think season 4 was the weakest yet but 5 is def going very good....last nights episode was one of the best ever
  • Pat
    4 was definitley the weakest.

    I'm loving Season 5.
  • kizzle
This new season is pretty bad. Absolutely nothing is happening.
  • Chee_Kno
this is the best season ever....i've never missed an episode and sundays episode was probably the funniest, the whole shrooms thing was classic and Lloyd looking after Ari's house was funny too
  • @ Bull:
You should add "shit" to your name.

Anywho, yeah the show is still going strong. Although the last episode was "the worst". But i still liked it.
  • hehe, love entourage! I think jeremy piven is a genius and the best for this role! I remember him in the show cupid where he was excellent too

The show is awesome and I love this season... I also love the fact nothing is happening too fast... even the fact that vince hasnt got a job jet!

Hopefully we will see more of drama character I think along piven, dillon is doing great!

But one of my biggest hopes remains to see marky mark more in the show!
  • Dan
The mushroom tripping in EP5 was definately written by someone who has taken them. I have forgotten how to talk, had my hands shrink, and gotten crazy lost by myself before on them, it's no joke. Season 5 has been amazing. 3 & 4 kinda slumped but so far so good...
  • They say that Mad Men is the "Sex in The City" for guys, but I think Entourage does a better job at that. I'm enjoying this new season.
  • Mike
Season 5 is awesome. The shroom episode was so damn funny. Looking forward to a season 6
  • Mike D
I don't know.. i'm on the fence about this show now... it just seems like its the same thing over and over again. Vince gets a movie, things get screwed up, Vince fucks it up cause he thinks he is too good for it and not that bright since he always relies on E for his thoughts. Its just a constant up and down thing thats been going on since the beginning. This season has been the weakest and in a way hardest to watch since these characters aren't really developing into anything more than just a characture of themselves.
  • Darrell
I used to watch because it was a great show, now I watch because it's good and I'm somewhat loyal. Other shows like people mentioned (Weeds, Californication, Dexter) have clearly kicked ass.

A friend described it as "Sex in the City for Men"... but now Californication has stolen that demographic.
  • Tiny
The Joshua Tree episode was great because E talked very little.
  • Goro
S3 was a bit of a letdown and S4 was not very good at all. S5 rebooting has really re-energized the show, although i thought s5e5 ('shrooming ep) was really a bore and didn't add anything; i understand the show was a bridge-show for Vince to decide to focus on SMOKEJUMPERS, but it really wasn't funny, not interesting, didn't really propel any plot elements. YMMV, though.

S5 looks good but I'm wondering if they will actually ever explore any new territory or if it'll be more of the same?

It's still better than most other comedies on tv. This, SUNNY IN PHILLY, PUSHING DAISIES, and CHUCK are about all i watch on tv.
  • Josh
This season so far is better than ever! I'm a little worried after this last episode though, Ari needs to stay Vince's agent!!
  • Robert Rodriguez
It comes and goes. The writers sometimes try to slap episodic storylines together and make an episode out of it. Other times, the writers succeed in conveying a true narrative. On the whole, the structure has degenerated into a dramatic version of Seinfeld, though about every third, or over other episode brings us along on the characters' journey.

More specifically, Ari has just become too, too much of a prince, and a lot of the "up-and-back" plot resolves of earlier seasons, continue to accompany Gold on his journy to nice-ruthless agentdome. Classic in this recurring weakness in the show's protagonists' incurring more and more severe repercussions as a result of their respective character flaws, may be found in the recent episode where Ari turned down the studio job--he goes into a room we cut back to the epilog and find out that he axed Amanda out, Dana Gordon got the gig, and Ari hasn't even mussed his hair--again, just one more of the writers' recurring "up's-and back's" akin to when Billy Walsh nixed "Clouds" and wrote his own thing, which Ari again, as implausibly as ever, sells to Dana's new boss, etc. etc. etc.

Same can be said for the fleshing out of the other characters' arcs this season--BUT to end on a positive note, what do you think of Stellan Skarsgård as the German directorus maximus. BRAVO!!!
  • kaite
entourage is amazingg.. if you dont think its good stop hattting and dont watch it. i love ari hes soo funny
  • Shifty man
It is a very good show still and all ways will be good. Ari takes the cake though!!!!
