I liked the whole DragonBall Z series but from the word go this film looks bad.




Just wandering as speaking of trailers, was there a trailer attached to Eagle Eye of Transformers 2 or was that just another lie

I'm still tripppin out that they actually made this film.

if this movie does good at all at box office i will be shocked since pretty much everyone had a n opinion to hate this movie before a director was even attached lol

Aren't there supposed to be aliens in Dragonball? And spirit bombs? and KAMEHAMEHA? looks like they made the movie about a stupid kung fu competition.

I pretty much agree. I grew up on Dragonball Z on Toonami, but this movie looks bad. I don't think anyone was really clamoring for this movie to made anyway, so why did they do it? I'll probably still watch it and hope it surprises me, but I have very low expectations. And no, there wasn't a trailer for Transformers 2. It would probably be a big deal on the internets if there had been one released.

I got the same tournament/competition theme as well.
reminds me of --wait for it-- Mortal Kombat.

The original Dragonball series (which this movie is based off of) was mostly about....drum roll.....a fighting competition. So it makes sense that it plays a huge part in a live action movie. I'm sure the kamehameha comes into play sometime and the spirit bomb was originally used by Yamcha. I know he's in the movie but I cant remember wether it was introduced in DB or DBZ.

So to set you up if your expecting more. MOST LIKELY...there will be no Super Saiyans, super power-up battles, flying, or even aliens (yes I know King Piccolo was an alien but they didnt know that). Because none of that happened in Dragonball. Hell, goku couldnt even fly without nimbus and the only other way he got into the air was by firing a kamehameha into the ground.

But in Dragonball Son Goku was a child...

Very true DjangoDude. Im not really defending it as much as I am trying to keep people from setting themselves up to see DRAGONBALL Z the movie...which this will not be.

If this becomes a sucessful movie then there's no telling what other great manga; cartoons; anime franchise will hit the theaters soon.

Cowboy Bebop

WOW. For some reason I actually am excited about this movie.

But the movie looks VERY different from the anime.

From what i've seen it looks good but with no audio I will wait for official trailer. Man i can beleive a lack brain basher who cant come up adecent arguement to bash the film -no respect to them.
What typical is that hover around boards , posting how bad it is , you think they leave but they kepping comming back.

I like how it says "The first ever live action movie" for a dragonball movie. Thats a lie. There's a version that was done years ago. You know how I know? Our friends run a bad movie night yearly and I own the damn thing.

As far as commenting on how bad this trailer is? No need.

I think this movie's going to come out of no where and be a big unexpected smash hit, possibly classic. I've never seen this much vitriol laid on any movie ever except uwe boll's shit, so there's something special about this one, that's for sure.

hahaha this isn't the first live-action Dragonball movie! I saw the old one where Goku is played by a little kid last saturday on Telemundo. I wonder if Goku is gonna have a tail and turn into a giant mokey? hmmm

Well, thats a bad trailer, there is some weird fight scene in it.

I'm not a fan of the director. The one was wack, this prolly gon be the same.

We need some infos about:

"Akira" directed by Ruairi robinson
"Robotech (macross)" produced by tobey maguire, atleast thats what i heard.

And i would love to see cowboy bebop being adapted.

Actually, Cowboy Bebop is being adapted and I believe is actually further along then Akira or Robotech (but that could just be rumour, you know how it is) The current 'potential' for Spike Spiegal is apparently Keanu (again, this coulda been debunked by now, not sure)

:( They pulled it before I could watch it but I still believe that they have stripped this movie of anything that would have made it 'Dragonball', you know? The spark is gone... poor thing.

yeah....looks horrible. i think the old crappy live action dragonball would be more fun to watch.

With Japan leading a worldwide boycott against this movie, I'd have expected something more acceptable, not a trailer that's just going to set even the supporters of this flick into boycotting.

DjangoDude goku was a child in the first half of dragonball and not when kind piccolo was around at least in the very last part of dragonball also yall are expecting somthing like dragonball z when people are flying and they are punching real fast and a whole lot of energy blasts when in dragonball that was VERY limited yall are saying dis sucks compared to dragonball z not dragonball so chill and another thing THIS IS A TEASER TRAILER READ A DEFINITION IT SHOWS LITTLE TO NOTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE SO DONT COMMENT BASED ON SEEING THIS SIMPLE LIL TEASER TRAILER WHEN TEHY ARE NOT EVEN DONE WITH THE SPECIAL EFFECTS...IF IT WAS REALESED IN AUGUST LIKE ORIGINALLY THEN ID BE LIKE TEHY RUSHED IT THIS MOVIE WILL SUPRISE EVERY1 IM SURE

Does "just a trailer/teaser" make any difference?
Do you know what's the purpose of a trailer/teaser? To preview the most attractive parts of the film so that people would be attracted.
In this case, though, the best parts shown in the trailer ISN'T attracting anyone.
