A lot of people have been poo pooing this song, but I like it better than Cornell’s entry last time around.

Kind of indifferent to Alicia Keys, but I like what Jack White’s done.

Great song, crappy video. Alicia Keys’ inclusion seems forced, but it is less jarring on repeated listenings. In all, the Bond franchise hasn’t had a real stinker of a song (or movie) since the Timothy Dalton movies.

i love jack white and i love alicia keys but this song has nothing going for it
it goes nowhere and the chorus is weak and very thin
this is no where near cornell’s you know my name, that song had the bond feel and it has way more build up in it, this song just sounds like a watered down white stripes song

Haha, it seems pretty much every one is torn on this one. I didn’t think the theme was going to be so polarizing, to be honest. Everyone was going to think it was a middling affair (for a bond theme)? As a song there are some interesting parts but it’s too over produced with no direction for me to throw it onto my iPod. Cornell’s theme was a little easier to just listen to.

I await to see what is done with the song when the movie Solace hits. I might just have to change my mind.

Like I said earlier, it should have been Alicia Keys OR Jack White, not both. That being said, the music is good but the vocals are dreadful. They just don’t work. And the video was simply awful.

It just didn’t work at all, son. Oh and the video….The VIDEO? The video was just plain whack yo. Dang, they need some Skillet or Flyleaf to do a song. Fully Alive is the mad notes!

I like Jack and Alicia. Didn’t dig the song. At all. James Bond does not a film for an “alternative” audience, and I fear the song is just way outside the demo for the movie.

yeah exactly they don’t film for and alternative audience, luckily this song will only be 4 minutes of opening credits. The movie will be awesome! the song is just gay and by not liking it doesn’t mean you aren’t being open to new music. its just not being open to crap, why would i force myself to say i like this song just because it is unusual. Honestly this song is a piece of crap, its so boring its a task to sit through.

The song was starting to grow on me but that video was just wasted tape. What’s cool about two musicians with no chemistry wandering around on a stage in front of a green screen? There was no drive or purpose to the video – just a bunch of spinning around with random lines and crap overlaid. Why watch that? I don’t get it.

Great song, and a Great video to go with it.

I can’t believe people don’t like it, really. I mean, I would’ve screamed my throat sore of boredom if this turned out another Live and Let Die or Tomorrow Never Dies.

The lyrics are especially worth a listen. White’s done a great job.

When I compare it to other (good) songs in the MP3 format, it still doesn’t hold up. Sorry.

Jack and Alicia trip on each other. It’s just not working. If there were minimal vocals and the two didn’t wail through the obvious instrumental parts, it would (maybe) be okay.

The duet doesn’t really work, because either Jack or Alicia (I think it’s Jack, actually) is too high for it to work completely.

I do really love the song, though, Jack’s my hero.

When I heard this song it reminded me of notes in Jazz that were half a step off. I think the song fits in with Bond being half a step from being Bond. The video had good and bad moments. I think this song was intentionally meant to be a step off in the duet to show the duality of it all. The brass is the midrange, the guitars seem low, the piano is high, White seems to have a slightly flatter voice then Keys. I think they wanted to emphasize that instead of masking it to make the song sound dark.

When I first heard it I thought it was a disaster, but that was very poor sound quality. I still don’t like it quite as much as “You Know My Name”, but it has definitely grown on me.

Well, I’ve been reading a bunch of negative comments on this song, but I honestly like it. It really is like a score, not just a song. The vocals are kind of raw and harsh-sounding, but that suits the theme of the song. Jack White and Alicia Keys together is kind of like Maroon 5 and Rihanna–the match-up seems weird at first, like it might not work, but I think it does.

First of all: A CONFESSED White Stripes Fan, so was eager to hear the collaboration. Was pleasantly surprised with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss’ odd pairing, so I thought, what the hell…it just might work!

Like the song, but the “Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh’s” DO have to go…

Am I reading too far into it, but didn’t all the other songs have the same title as the movie? Guess Jack had a hell of a time rhyming with “Quantum” or “Solace”…and that’s my 2 cents!
