Oh man, that rules :)

good article in the wall street journal today- a1 and a20 - about the glut of films in hollywood right now. too many 13m - 18 m budgets, many going to dvd, that were not INTENDED to. take a look, i think it would be an interesting read for /filmers.

I have one just like that from 'Batman Forever.' Best christmas gift ever.

Batman will never win the race to save Gotham if he's driving round and round on a loop... when will he ever learn?!

Problem with this, and all the other Dark Knight toys is that DK is in no way a kids movie. There's not much in it for kids. It's an adult film that happens to feature a guy in a mask and a guy in makeup, but it's very very dark and unsettling and just not appropriate for the same six year olds that would want this set.

I'm never one for censorship and I do believe that parents determine what's appropriate for kids, but marketing a whole slew of toys based on this movie makes it a must see for kids and this film is just as dark and intense as movies like Silence of the Lambs, which was R and had no toys. I think its an odd choice.

peter, tonight i will go check out toys r us and take photos of all the batman toys so you can have plenty of cool stuff features for the next month.

Not a good toy to get...

Even if this is for 8 & up, the Bat Pod would definitely still be deemed a choke hazard. It'd be more of a Hot Wheel/die-cast aimed towards older collectors.
