WEEKEND UPDATE: Okay. So, I just witnessed a press copy of Disaster Movie. Let’s up the ante. If you really, really want bad things to happen to Disaster Movie, and the movie’s directors/hacks, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer Water, paste the following in the comments: Necronomicon Xmortis Juno. Thanks. If their film suffers a horrible death at the box office, we’ll update/celebrate. So, who braved the shallow waters today and paid to see Babylon A.D., a Vin Diesel comeback movie repeatedly wedgied by its director, or Disaster Movie, a national disgrace released on the friggin’ anniversary of Hurricane Katrina that has the power to shutdown Slashfilm if it grosses over $20 million?

Don’t worry readers, we will not hire Osama bin Diesel to track you down (or your innocent friends) using IP addresses. Please confess below: How did either of these “films” make you feel? Shock the cowards among us and rip into the soon-to-be infamous twist ending to Babylon A.D. below. Feel free to exaggerate, lie or simply imagine. Feel free to not even identify which travesty you are referring to, it will make things that much scarier. i don't understand why you people subject yourselves to such crap. but the worst part is you are actually doing a favour to these jacka#$%es who made disaster movie. by actually paying to see this movie you are essentially justifying the making of it. as long as people keep paying to see movies like this, they will continue to be made.

case in point: what are the chances they will let paris hilton make another movie after hottie or nottie? now don't get that mixed up with having a supporting role in some movie. i wouldn't be surprised if she appeared in movies in bit roles. but i highly doubt she will be the main star in any movie anytime soon.

i refuse to see disaster movie and not have anything to do with it. i'd rather be fired from my job than have to be in a friedberg/seltzer movie

I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in Disaster Movie. When I first saw the trailer, I was sickened because it looked like they picked out parts from major movies from the last seven months and threw them together to make a movie. I've kind of figured out the plot (like there is any). The acting seems flat and a bit exaggerated. The cast has a bunch of people from Mad TV, which has had some funny sketches, but isn't as good as SNL. I was dragged to see Disaster Movie today. I didn't watch the entire movie though, as after about 30 minutes I started to feel queasy and made my way to the bathroom where I puked for 2-3 minutes. I got a ticket refund and my friends said it was OK for me to leave while they watched the rest of the movie, but I'm still shocked at how it was so bad that it actually made me throw up.

I was really not comfortable with the way it crept up my leg, and when it touched my bad place, I screamed. At first I thought the feeling would go away. When it didn't, I hardly knew how to react. I will never watch a movie again. One of these movies violated me, and I can't even remember which one. My therapist says it is repressed memory or something. I think it's good that I can't remember. I know the feeling is horrible.

I don't believe I was full on retinally raped by Babylon A.D. but Kassovitz definitely put the tip in. For starters I kept thinking that the obnoxious bitch character was Dee from Battlestar Galactica in whiteface. This kept me from being bored for the first bit of the film. Once she got all psychic and shit, Vin Diesel had to fight some free runner douche bags with moves that looked straight out of TMNT live action movies, and Septimus ended up being a tool I realized I didn't care because I wasn't paying for the movie anyway. I was just bored. They needed to get to New York so they went to New York. The end.

It's days like this I'm glad I boycott my local theater. It ALMOST makes up for not having seen The Dark Knight or Iron Man or Hellboy II yet. Almost.... Goddamn DVDs don't come out soon enough.

@790: I've talked with a few people that I know and they have no interest in seeing Disaster Movie. Some of the comments I've received on my rant about Disaster Movie have been almost the opposite. I've been called gay. I've been told to get a life with multiple variations. I've been told to calm down, that it's just a movie. The thing is, it isn't just a movie. It's a travesty. It's a half-birth or partial-birth. I can't begin to say how horrified and disgusted I am as moviegoer and a movie buff to see some of the movies from the last 7 months being made fun of. I mean, I didn't seen some of the movies that were spoofed, but if you're going to make an intelligent spoof or satire, you need a better writing and directing team than Seltzer and Friedberg.

As of now, Babylon AD has a 5% on Rotten Tomatoes, while Disaster Movie has a whopping 0% (yes, zero fucking percent). To put that in perspective, the shitfest they called Meet the Spartans, a 2%; in other words, critics thought that Meet the spartans was 2% better than Disaster Movie. Pitiful.
