The Incredible Hulk DVD/Blu-Ray Specs Announced

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced the specs for the DVD/Blu-ray release of The Incredible Hulk. Both the Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray releases include over two hours of bonus extras, including an exclusive, never-before-seen alternate opening and a digital copy of the film that is iPod, PC or MAC compatible. Gotta love it when they include the Apple users in on the fun.

The Blu-ray set will include a new feature called My Chat, which would allow you to communicate with friends and family while watching the film. And you can also share your favorite clips with your friends though the BD Live Internet connection, but what is that point? I love how they made the top part of the case green instead of the usual blue.

The single-disc edition includes the film and deleted scenes. The Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray releases will also include the following:

No 135 min Director's Cut? Boo.
  • i second the booing of no director's cut. they'll probably wait a year before they release that.
  • Bino
Well, the Blu-ray case looks better.
  • 790
Sucks they pushed this back to October.
Some of the bluRay features (chat live) seem super lame !
  • Liking the cover.
  • gryffin
I remember the director saying that there was a deleted seen where captain america is in the movie. Any one remember this?
  • gah
If they would have used that cover as the poster...people might have been more interested in seeing it.
  • YoungZe
Yes gryffin, Louis stated that the actual beginning was the one where Bruce is wandering in a snow-environment. This beginning also should have the cameo from Cap himself.

And a big boo from myself, i want a director's cut! I want the 70 minutes!
  • Andrew Aiello
the altenrate opening is just banner trying to kill himself by jumping off a cliff in alaska. It was cut because well it's nearly identical to him jumping out of the helicopter.
  • Agent J
No director's cut?? Meh, I'll still get this VD.
  • Chris
Will the deleted scenes include the Cap cameo?
  • Agent J
DVD I mean!! *hits self in the head*
  • evergreen
The biggest draw for me - stupid as it is - is the first Blu-Ray case that isn't blue!
  • Captain Awesome
Someone needs to photoshop lightsabers in their hands.
  • YoungZe
@Andrew Aiello: Say what? I thought he tried to shoot himself in the alternative beginning.
  • Agent J
I thought he tried to shoot himself too.
  • 790
Lol. Captain Awesome,,, I can see how that could work.
  • 790
    @evergreen
"The biggest draw for me - stupid as it is - is the first Blu-Ray case that isn't blue!"
60 bucks for a different color box ?
    Holly shit man.
  • I know all the fanboys want the rumored Captain America scene (has that ever been confirmed as true?), but THIS fanboy wants more of the Blonksy/Hulk campus battle. Thats the action I wanna see in my Cap move!
  • 790
    @ Jeffrey L. Wilson
The rumored Captain America scene at the beginning was that Banner trys to jump and kill himself after he lands he discovers a frozen Cap America, military chases him of. Blah blah blah.

The other bs rumor is you can see Cap, run by in a (red & blue blur) during the scene where Hulk rips the taxi apart.
I've seen the film 2 times and that cameo scene is bullshit !!!!
  • Agent J
Meh, I'll still buy the DVD even if the cameo scene is bullsh!t.
  • 790
    Copy that Agent J,,,
I'm going 2 disc on this mofo !!!!!!
  • Kevin
I believe that The Captain America deleted scene is in "The Incredible Hulk film, My kid brother doesn't believe it but he was'nt the one directing and creating this movie. Louis Letterrier is a genious and he has alot secrets hidden inside of this movie and we won't know until October 21, 2008. So, everyone hold on tight Hulk is going to rage us all the way.
  • atreestump
Please tell me that the alternate opening and stuff is going to be on the dvd version too. if not I may just try to jump off a cliff myself.
  • Kevin
Atreestump a couple of extras I read was about a deleted scene with Captain America shown in a cut scene during the film, The Incredible Hulk movie I hope that this is true because, this excites me about the upcoming Avengers movie. Another, is THe Incredible Hulk was originally 135 minutes long and they rumored an announcement about Edward Norton's version of this film that was supposed to be over 2 hours long.

I hope The Incredible Hulk is really 135 minutes instead of, 114 minutes that was kind of long but not long enough for full Hulk action. One guy stated, at Superherohype.com that he will have a voting website thing coming up and he wants us to vote on a sequel to The Incredible Hulk I will be looking and waiting for that information.

Thanks, Astreestump for asking me this question.!!!

    Hulk Smash!!!
