As a nerd who grew up watching Dragon Ball, I'll go see it regardless, but I hope it doesn't suck too bad. Who knows, it might even be fun! Yeah, its cool to at least know when its coming out now (the trailer)

It's going to flop with fans once they realize it's a live action rendition that looks rather cheesy. Adapting cartoons into live action feature films never work for the better. It's doomed to fail.

I grew up watching the anime well over a decade ago, and I even felt this would be a bad idea WHILE I was watching it. It was cool in THEORY, but to think anyone could pull it off practically and simultaneously make it a decent movie was ridiculous. I remember when the rumor came out that Jet Li would be attached to a DBZ movie as Vegetta, and it was like "alright, it's still going to be bad, but at least they would be getting big name martial artists for it."

This is a spit in the face to that rumor.

Dragonball and Dragonball Z are one of the most action packed and awesome anime cartoons ever. Just looking at the photo above if you've ever watched Dragonball Z this is not Dragonball Z. This is an abomination.

Transformers was a cheesy as hell movie based on the just as cheesy cartoons and people seemed pretty fond of that one.

I hope this movie does well mostly just because maybe then they'll finally do the Evangelion movie.

That's a good point, Broomstick, but I very much doubt this is was made in the same spirit of the cartoon, or that it will retain any of its charm. This is just another blatant studio attempt to cash in on a product that has garnered mass appeal to a younger American demographic. I'd wager it's not even going to be good on a campy level.

The only thing that's keeping me at arms length to this film is Chow Yun and Emmy.

I would have preferred Stephen Chow make a DBZ film after Kung fu Soccer and Hustle then when I can imagine Fox can come up with, with some white guy as the main character!!!

I'm kind of tired hearing people bitch about the movie. Atleast James Wong is man enough to change up the script and make it something we never seen before. It will be boring if we knew what was already going to happen don't ya think? But I hate the high school thing soooooo much.

ima c this movie.even if the critics blast it ima c it for myself. i just have one question.when they make a movie thats heavy on fighting why do they always go the route with using actors and train them to fight.then they end up using alot of cut scenes and effects to make them look like they know what they're doing.it looks generic, slow, and cheesy.why not use people who know how to fight,then teach them to act.sort of like a reversal.i know jackie chan has an actual martial arts troupe he uses in his movies and the action looks great.could u imagine..what this movie would look like if famed martial arts fight coordinator yuen woo ping (sp) worked on it.wow.

They have to delay so long for a trailer. These guys must have really little confidence with what they're doing.
But let's just hope the trailer's going to dash what little hopes for this movie those stubbornly refusing to join the boycott movement still holds.

When people think that a movie might suck. It usually turn out to be pretty good in the end. So don't judge by the pictures and the trailers just wait until, you see the movie.

because Transformers wasn't the same and it still rocked.
It cant be the same as the anime story line and the characters cant be the same, it has to be a bit more realistic, i dont want to watch a live action movie that looks like a cartoon.
