W. Outdoor Posters and Billboards

Lionsgate has sent us two high resolution versions of the new W. posters which have been seen around Denver. IGN also has a new billboard advertising the film (seen above). The caption reads “Anyone Can Grow Up To Be President”. I’m really digging the outdoor advertising a lot more than the “What a Wonderful World” teaser trailer.

  • Oh Blair
    Even I can be president!!!!!!!!!

I'll start by lowering the consensual age to 15, AMIRITE lol!

Is this a fictional film about what the world would be like if a retarded man struggling to find his fathers love and acceptance enters the oval office, screws up everything, embarrasses a nation and shames the world?
  • i love the fact that Oliver Stone, a "serious" filmmaker known for serious films, is making a huge mockery of W., the worst president in the modern history of Western democratic societies.
  • Darrell
The story of a slow man, looking for his fathers love and acceptance, entering the oval office, embarrassing a nation and shaming the world.
    Sounds interesting.

love the posters... the bottom one made me laugh...! :)
  • Andrew Pandrew
Enough of the president biopics, Stone. Sheesh. I loved Platoon, and NBK was good, but when it comes to biopics, you have to remember those little things called "facts." I know Mr. Stone, I am absolutely against scholarship of any sort as well. Better just put words in people's mouths and misrepresent events
  • I shall tell you... of George W. Historians from America will say that I am a liar, but history is written by those who have lampooned heroes.
  • A Better Class of Criminal
I'm not really sure what to think of this movie...

I think he should have gone a little more serious with this... It might be funny though.

I'll have to wait and see.

Always remember kids, all history is fiction. This should at least be fun. And that's pretty sad when one thinks about it.
  • It'll be the feel good movie of the year.

The guy is still president, he is still screwing stuff up, and he is laying the groundwork for future screw ups. The last thing I want to do is ruminate over this for $10.50 in a dark theater.

When you go see Cloverfield, part of the enjoyment is that when you walk out of the theater, you are not going to be stepped on by a giant alien. If you walk out of W, however, the D-Bag will still be president, and the implications of his fracktarded policies will still be living with us for generations.

I'd rather watch CNN with $10.50 worth of cheap liquor.
  • Oh, it's not a slanted view at
I thought this was supposed to be some fair, unbiased portrayal of the man. Doesn't look like it. This thing is gonna make about $12 million at the box office. FAIL.
  • I wonder if the non-uniform font between billboard and poster is a dig at W's failure at branding 101 during the last RNC.

    @OINASVAA
Looks pretty accurate to me. Of course, I'm eating an aborted fetus right now and masturbating to pictures of darwin.

the bottom poster legitimately looks like George Bush.
