The Batmobile from Batman Returns is being auctioned off at the 38th annual Kruse International Auction, which will be held on Labor Day weekend in Auburn, Indiana. The car is #3 of 5 Batmobiles actually used on screen during the film.

That's the thing. If you worked hard enough you could most likely buy all the body kit parts for a fraction of that price and throw it on an 80's stingray frame. It's not like the thing has any real working parts or jet engine (!)

At first I thought this was for some sort of charity and the price didn't seem so bad. But it seems the Kruse foundation is just a car collecting/seller group. Guess someone got tired of owning a glorified "Honda".

A few months ago I stopped at a museum in Auburn to see the Batmobile, so I assume that this is the one that will be auctioned off. Here are some photos of that batmobile, and also an interior shot.

Screw that, there was a awesome one that was a replica that sold on ebay last year for 125k...it was a exact replica that had a 650hp ls1 motor/nos and a awesome interior full of monitors and lights and was set up to be dialy driven

By the way, the one on ebay did not sell. Its not a documented movie car which makes it worthless to collectors. so if you like to throw your money away buy the replica . By the way i saw that one in person and the car does not compare to the real movie car .if you saw the real Batmobile in person you would realize there is no comparison.
