Body Of Lies Movie Trailer #2

Remember that teaser trailer that was attached to The Dark Knight? No, not Watchmen. Nope, not Terminator. I’m talking about the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. Body of Lies follows a former journalist who is hired by the CIA to track down an Al Qaeda leader. You probably didn’t get that much from the first trailer, I know I didn’t. Thankfully, Warner Bros has released a new full length trailer which gives you a much better sense of what this Ridley Scott film is about. Watch it now below, and as always, tell me what you think in the comments.

Watch the trailer in High Definition on Yahoo. Body of Lies hits theaters on October 10th 2008.

Should be okay. Ridley Scott never makes anything too bad, and sometimes he makes some really good stuff. I think they should show a bit more of the old Russell Crowe getting sparta-kicked, that was pretty funny in the last trailer.

    *YAWN*
  • Mike Panzer
this looks as boring as American Gangster
  • MrSawyer
I thought it looked boring the first time I saw the shorter trailer at TDK and I still think it looks boring after seeing this one.
  • Luke
1/4 Rendition + 1/5 Blood Diamond + 1/5 The Insider + 1/4 Black Hawk Down = well... it doesn't add up to good.
  • Kokushi
I cant wait to see this movie but im sure Burn After Reading, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will be better.
  • DF
1000 dramatic shots does not equal drama. It is interesting how Ridley and Tony go out and shoot 5 cameras all day long- that becomes the films' style, edit, tone- and they end up with the exact same results- that could easily be Spy Game 2.
  • David E
That looked like True Lies without the generic laughs.
  • Pixel Pusher
Well I dig Ridley Scott's work – it feels gritty and real, and the characters' motives always make the story compelling. Count me in on this.
  • Ghost
You guys forgot to add in The Kingdom to that mix =)
  • Gart, Bo
I dojn't know why, but I'm just not too excited about this. Although Leo is fantastic, and Crowe is usually great. I'll probably still see it in the theater cause that's what I do.
  • orange cinema
i like dicaprio in these agressive roles. looks cool as hell.
  • D.A.
c'mon now I am seeing this simply for the Dicaprio/Scott collabo
throw in "Gladiator" Crowe and you have a phenomenal team.

    i'm sold
  • drmecha
DiCaprio likes walking down the street, holding his cell phone 2 inches away from his mouth and angerly shouting things into it.

Also, this is a better trailer.
  • Jack M.
    Can't....Stop....Looking.....At.....Dicaprio's....Facial....Hair
  • barnes
Am I the only one that's sick and tired of watching Leo posing as a badass in movies.. when he's clearly the dude that would be someone's bitch in prison! departed, blood diamond, gangs of ny.....sorry added fake facial hair doesn't make you a badass, Leo!
  • boisvertfj
Looks pretty good, but I doubt i'll see it in the theater.
  • cellchild
    boring
  • Superfunk
Did anyone else notice Nite Owl's scream in the Watchmen trailer being transplanted into DeCaprio's scream at the end of this trailer? It's the same.
  • The first movie that has something to do with Iraq that will make a dent at the box office, and that's because it's a Ridley Scott movie. Will all his movies have a role for Russell Crowe from now on?
  • gocitizen
    Ridley Scott ftw.
  • Ben
    @ barnes

Me too, he looks like a kid playing dress up. It doesn't help that the beard looks bigger than him.

And when a fake beard is the most interesting thing in the trailer, you know you're in trouble!
  • ddy_blue
well it look good not great but good!

the past 6 or 8 movies like this one have been just good, nothing else!

Come on u guys u can make better than that!!!
  • YoungZe
I'm sold. Simple as that. I like DeCaprio playin' bad-ass roles.
  • I enjoy seeing leo in thriller/suspense/action roles as in blood diamond, so I may just go see this one.

A second there I thought I was watching an upcoming film by Tony Scott which I'm planning to write, "Dear Mr.Tony Scott, I'm a big fan of your work.. But is it necessary for yu to direct this film? What happen to 'The Warriors' project?".

But I was glad after realizing that I was wrong. However, now I wonder what have happen to Mr.Ridley through this film. He have his own unique approach and style that differentiate himself from Mr.Tony. (I'm romanticizing 'Blade Runner' here).
  • Anthony
Looked more like a Tony Scott film
  • Anthony
ooops, and to add that isn't such a bad thing. Good popcorn fun
  • Matador
Now that looks like something I could justify spending money to see.
  • Dylan D.
Did I spot a boom mic like 2:50 in?
  • Dylan D.
    2:13 in to be exact.
  • tara
I heard that an Iranian Girl act in this movie. her name is GOLSHIFTE. wowwwww.. very nice
  • i love u >> GOLSHIFTE , u are teh best ....
  • yokatsume
This is definitly, Spy Games, meets Kingdom, meets Syriana. but I'll still glady watch it after the slew of crap that has been out lately. We need something that can at least help people remember that there is more going on in this world than American Idol.
  • Kambiz Ghafouri
i ve heard golshifte can not act in any iranian film any more because of damn iranian rules but everyone knows she is one of the best
  • billy not
