There's something about 2-D animation that 3-D just can't top, in my opinion. Disney 2-D films are so popular and so loved because they didn't just have "good special effects", they had great animation, stories, music, backgrounds, and really believable characters. I'm really hoping that this movie brings back the hand-drawn animations. In my opinion, you can do much more with a pencil than a computer. YES - Pixar is about as close to a modern deity in terms of animation these days. That said, it will be a breath of fresh air to see a good 2-D animated venture by Disney.
