Joe Cornish is one part of The Adam and Joe Show in the UK, along with Adam Buxton - their toy reconstructions/sketches of movies (The English Patient, Star Wars etc) are brilliant, and they were doing them long before Robot Chicken. Just search for "Adam and Joe" on Youtube.
