Cool Stuff: Pixar Animated Desk Accessory Toy

Thinkway Toys manufactures this really cool interactive motion activated Pixar Aniamtion Studios desk accessory toy. Luxo Jr comes to life and hops around just like in the opening animation on Pixar’s movies. It has motion activated or remote control settings, in addition to the button on the accessory itself. Check out the video below of it in action.

I’m not sure where exactly this thing is sold. May-be at the new Pixar Studios in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? May-be the Disney Store? I can tell you that I bought mine for $40 at the Pixar store inside Pixar’s Emmeryville Campus, but that, of course, isn’t open to the public. If anyone knows where people can buy one of these, please post it in the comments!

I actually called Pixar the other day asking if they would be willing to send something to the east coast. I had seen something online from the store and really wanted it.

As cool as the logo is, doesn't anyone else realize that the interaction of the moving thing is poor? I rather have a plasma TV up on my desk and a dvd playing the Pixar logo on loop. At least it would look right!

That is the coolest desk toy EVER.

I can say without a doubt though that it's NOT being sold at any of the Walt Disney World parks right now, not even at the Pixar Place store. (Though they do now have a snazzy T-Shirt and hoodie with "Pixar Animation Studios" on it, with Luxo for the "I".)

In relation to my comment on the "LOL: Racer X" post, how can you say this is "Cool Stuff" while a Racer X costume is laughable?

A lot of people think Pixar is childish, or they think of it as any other movie studio. Yet you support them with this desk ornament.

I don't understand how this can be "cool" while you mock another aspect of geekery.

i really like every movie this studio has made, but, concerning the logo ( yes is cool) but.. i rather the Stoned one option.. unless offcourse that i worked for pixar.. i surelly had one of this
