White house with gables/the son is afraid to go in. They should have shot there, the house is in ruins and is invaded by encroaching bamboo. Would have been perfect and more true to the area where the book takes place...rather than Pittsburgh. The movie looks nice, and should be better than most movies that the public is exposed to these days.... Still, it looks like the film will be faithful. And the book is short enough that they will probably be able to keep most of it in the film. Loved it. Looks like they've got something here with the film. Anyone know what Charlize Theron's character is? Possibly the boys mother? I dont know if it'll beat the book tho. I can't wait for the Blood Meridan, Damn and i just saw on imdb that they're doing Outer Dark too, i only got half way through that one. Anyone else read any of his other books besides no country and the road? The man is an amazing story teller.
