I hope this doesn’t turn out like LTZ - not a bad movie but totally removed from the book. Looks like too much emotion and angst in this trailer, the book was about the absence of these. My advice? Remove the schmaltzy music, they should have done the same thing for LTZ and it would have had a totally different feel.

i’m peeved that there are no vampires…. i would have LOVED to see brandon routh in that role……

other than that, the trailer looks pretty close to the books - i see a few changes with brian metro and the WAKE(???) - but there are some direct lines from the book in the trailer soo…

and for the criticism that the trailer is just random scenes with people in bad situations - that’s EXACTLY what the book is - so it’s a good indication of what the movie will probably be like.

Well, the promise of Amber Heard’s breasts is enough to lure me to the theater by itself. But I can’t see how this movie is going to be a success without the freaking VAMPIRES! That was the coolest, weirdest, most memorable part of the whole book other than the short story about Tim Price and his dad on vacation (which thankfully looks like it is going to be included).

You may have to read the book. Each chapter is a different character’s POV, all of their stories are related by how empty they are and their actions are absolutely heinous.

Here’s to Mickey Rourke raping and killing a boy, a kid doing his ex-step-mom, and constantly coked-out insanity.

This is going to blow American Psycho away.

Interesting that “greed is good” (as seen on the poster) was one of the catch-phrases (and ended up being one of the most famous quotes) from Wall Street, one of the 80’s best movies.

pretty sad when the most exciting part of a trailer is Kim Bassinger giving a sex moan. Otherwise, this just looks like something we’ve all seen multiple times. Boring stuff.

The trailer makes absolutely no sense to me, but I’m intrigued. I’m a fan of Lunar Park and American Psycho–and I just read the word “vampires”–so I’m pretty sure I’ll end up reading the book.

Terrible trailer. Drags on and does nothing to interest me. Also, I wasn’t around for much of the 80s, but that really didn’t look like they put much work into getting the style right.
