Cool Stuff: Goonies Puma Sneakers

Puma is releasing a limited edition Goonies themed sneaker called The Goonies Disc Blaze.

The sneakers feature original artwork of the famous One Eyed Willie treasure map, in addition to the Goonies logo Goonies film logos on heel, sockliner and midsole and a silhouet of the Goonies and Sloth watching the pirate ship go down.

I’m not too hip, but apparently the Disc Blaze closure system means no shoe laces to tie - You just twist. The sneakers come in a Goonie’s branded customized burlap sack, and won’t hit stores until December 2008. More photos after the jump.

I don't understand who is suppose to buy these shoes? First BTTF shoes... now Goonies? The people who have seen (and acted in) Goonies would be all be in their late 30's early 40's. And what kinda psychopath at that age would wear those? I would hope Chris Hanson has rounded up most of them by now.

  • Not nearly as awesome as the Hellboy or Marty McFly sneakers... I like the idea of Goonie sneakers but those things are kinda ugly.
  • Dan
hopefully they will be easier to get than the McFly's. I want a pair but I'm not about to pay 2000 dollars for a pair like they are asking on ebay.

    @The Dude: Shoe collectors...
  • OMG It's Russell Crowe
    Dear God those are hideous.
  • That is so stupid. The 80s is dead. Stop trying to bring back the 80s!

God, I'm sick of the 80s already. All these people are ruining my childhood memories.
  • Galdersorg
Worst movie shoe EVER! The Steve Zissou shoes are the best ones so far.
  • Quenfis
Finally! A shoe that has no laces! Ugh, I get so tired of messing with laces. What a pain. /sarcasm

This are the worst shoes I have ever seen in my life. What a horrible concept. People collect shoes? As a hobby? That's got to be up there with stamps and coins.

I actually think the idea of movie-branded sneakers is neat, and the McFly ones looked alright. These just look terrible, though.
  • Jim
The only Goonie shoe I would be interested in is of the "slick shoe" variety.

i just dont get why shoes are so fuking ugly these days.
  • Looks like someone ate cookie dough ice cream and threw it up all over their shoes :( absolutely hideous
  • Presto117
not gonna lie... these aren't the best shoes i've seen. at all.

but nice for collectors, i guess.

If i'm not mistaken, these are what, the second pair of movie shoes from Puma, the first being the 2 Speed Racer ones.

    those were actually very nice.

I actually own the Mach 5 Puma's, and they're really nice and very comfortable.

That looks like something a homeless person shat out
  • Myles
they don't look to appealing, but of course I would try and get my hands on a pair. I hope they release them in Australia :)
  • Hmmm... Hmmm... no sir, I don't like it.
