They could easily have Arnold back for anyone of the new Terminator Movies coming. I mean all you have to do is sort of an Alien thing in which Henrickson was in fact building the robot doctors after his looks. I mean putting him in at some form of human leader at first of Cybernet that eventually kills off the human to be just robots and they use Arnold as a kind of prototype on what is suppose to be the secret weapon for Cybernet. It could be done people. Not sure if I am getting across what I am trying to say but it is possible. Would only have to be a small cameo, maybe a flashback sequence or something of John Conner telling people what happened and to as why they started using human skin to infiltrate the human resistance. Easily solved…. Anthony

Doonesbury, if that’s the big surprise at the end,, this film won’t do it for me. Arnolds too old at this point.

It sounds like a pretty reasonable critique of what is being shown thus far. A film can have a lot of cool T-whatevers, but if the story and plot are muddled in the spectacle, You will get a pretty, yet unsatisfying film. The audience needs a few strong characters that they can root for, grounding the story and emotions. That is the hard part.

With JNolan doing the writing, You would hope that the story and characters are strong, but it’s hard to get a take on that based on the footage being shown.

Dude, they don’t need to convince Arnold, he already publicly stated he’d be happy to be in it if they asked him. And whether or not it looks better than T3 is up to personal opinion, and I don’t think it does for now. T3 was badass and had a kickass story even though the T-X was weak as hell (I don’t think anyone can top Robert Patrick anyway). All I saw of T4 is a trailer with a lot of static in it, a couple of explosions and a flying robot at the end. That being said I didn’t see the comic-con footage so we’ll see. I’m also curious as to what James Cameron thinks of said footage, did he get a private show too?

It will be cool if Arnold is in the 4th movie, it doesn´t make sense without him. Just a little shot, that´s it. We want to see the old terminator back. And he should be grateful of the main character that made him famous. Honor it, Arnold.
Still, the Terminator series ( whithout him ) is cool, and Christian Bale is one of the coolest actors right now.

I actually see where he’s coming from. The Terminator has been front and center in not only the three movies but the TV show. You watch any promo piece and you go “ok, so that’s the Terminator and he/she is good/bad.” You watch this footage and you don’t get a sense of who they are fighting, why and just who exactly is the titular Terminator in this installment. It’s actually a good point. Obviously we know what’s going on because we follow movie news and know the plots of movies before they’re even done being scripted. Your average moviegoer would probably be left with a “what’s that all about?” impression after watching the teaser.

Just because Arnold is in movies doesn’t mean he knows at all what a good one looks like. I’ve never found the opinion of actors, either about their own films or about the films of others, to be worth two shits. They are either personally invested in the success, or jealous of the success of others, and therefore cannot be trusted.

He has a point. What made the other films interesting was the LIMITED amount of cast members. A woman, her son, one or two machines.

This film looks to have a LARGE cast and possibly DOZENS of terminators.

With such a large ensemble, it will be difficult to focus on the human element.
