Brolin is really flattering the Dubya, I gotta say. Perhaps one of the Space Chimps would’ve been more appropriate?
August 4th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
“W” shouldve been filmed in 2005, when Don Adams was alive.
August 4th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
wow. you relly sense the feel of this movie now.
August 4th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
I ACTUALLY have to say that I want to see this film. Wow. It is looking good
August 4th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
You gotta admit, between this, those “Saw” posters, the “Tyler Perry” movie posters (not accounting for the actual film) Lionsgate has one kickass graphic design department.
August 4th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
I have to agree with eric. this movie looks like it’s gonna be pretty funny. I also like the timing for the release.
August 4th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
It’s gonna be filmed in a way that’s going to leave the viewer to decide what they believe. It’s exhibited in the design as well. That’s daring as hell and to that I give props. And yes the timing of release is on point.
August 4th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
I wonder how long this movie is. JFK was like 3 hours and should have been trimmed to 2.
August 4th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
The poster is good, but I’m not sure about this movie. I was expecting something dramatic like JFK. There’s a lot of lies, deceit and whatnot that I’m sure Stone could have run rampant with. I’m a little disappointed so far.
August 4th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
In the long run it would have been better for Stone to do a true to the facts expose on “W”. Instead, this film is such a broadly comic, over-the-top “hit piece” that no one on either side will take any of it seriously.
August 4th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
@Bob-Because 1 trailer is the same as an entire movie
August 4th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
I’m not sure who that’s supposed to be in that poster.
Most boring poster ever, though. If that’s what they were going for, congrats.
August 4th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
@arch stanton,
i’m going to assume you’re kidding. please don’t tell me you’re that dense.
brilliant poster.
August 4th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Pretty on the nose if you ask me… And not in a good way.
August 4th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
Meh
August 4th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
im sorry in no way shape or form does this movie look any good bush is so last year, LAST 8 years yeah!
I could care less about a movie based on Bush.
August 4th, 2008 at 5:49 pm
Has anyone here ever seen the movie CONSPIRACY THEORY with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts? There’s a scene where he starts talking about Oliver Stone being the spokes-person for the government. This movie makes me wonder if that’s true… thoughts?
August 4th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
god your liberal bullshit is so thick its sickening, it must be so fun thinking your awesome for bashing him like everyone wants you to, lemmings.
August 4th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Demonize/Satirize the man who is desperately trying to defend our country against enemies both foreign and domestic. He looks like a monkey, and John McCain is old. Substance. I second your opinion, Gentlemen.
August 4th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
It will be interesting to see how this movie does at the box office, regardless of how it treats the subject matter. Will Bush fatigue, and the overwhelmingly negative feelings keep people away, or drive them to the theater hoping for the hit-piece-to-end-all-hit-pieces?
I have a feeling it will bomb (no pun intended). Now if it was released all “Rocky Horror” and people were encouraged to throw things at the screen, it would probably do quite well. That is assuming the same distribution market as “Rocky”.
If Oliver Stone has successfully made a political Rorschach test, I’ll take back every bad thing I’ve ever said about him as a filmmaker. But I doubt this movie is going to be that sophisticated.
August 4th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
@ Gntleman,
There is nothing conservative about conservatives anymore. Republican’s had a 6 year majority in the Senate and House and a President who lied to the American people to make them afraid (whilst protecting them from terror) so he could mumble whatever cocka-me-me trype Karl Rove and Dick Chaney and their oil, war lined pockets could think of. The dollar has declined in value 40% since 2001 under their rule. Free trade is dead. Deregulation failed. Our country and economy are in the shitter and you berate your fellow Americans (what a patriot you are) for venting their frustrations on the internet. You have no substance.
August 4th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
This movie, whether it bashes Bush unfairly or not, is a small price to pay for having kept the Democrats out of the White House the last 8 years. And, since Obama is unelectable, we’ll likely keep it for another 8 years. The party that loses should at least have appealing movies to watch.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Gentleman & Daft punk it must be heartbreaking to see your Captain America as a laughing stock.
And ppl want proof of mind control.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
790, it must be pleasant to get this movie as the booby prize for your party losing the White House to the likes of George Bush, and poised to lose it again in November. Mind control, indeed.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Bashing Bush makes you a lemming? No, it makes you a human being with some sense of right and wrong. Anyone who supports the Republicans is motivated either by greed or by hatred (or both).
August 4th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
I’m neither liberal or democrat, but I’m also unemployed because the country is in a recession. I have a Bachelors degree, 8 years of experience doing what I do and when I left the service I had no job waiting for me. My job went overseas, and I, as a true red-blooded American that fought in both Afghanistan and Iraq while a Marine with MWSS-371, stayed here. The fact is, when a democrat (Clinton) was in office there was a $236 Billion dollar SURPLUS as opposed to the current $9.5+ Trillion dollar deficit that there is now thanks to republican (Bush) spending.
For all of you crying about who is right or wrong, the numbers, the facts speak for themselves. How are Veterans homeless in a country that no more than 7 years ago claimed to be Patriotic beyond a shadow of a doubt?!? Remember the aftermath of Sept. 11th? How everyone was a Patriot? Where are those Patriots now? You don’t see them! Democrat or Republican, they have all gone to fight their little shouting matches at the local news outlets, CNN and Fox News.
Ask a service member that was in the military while Clinton was President of the United States and they will tell you that Peace-Keeping missions and diligent training was a good respite from war. People during those years didn’t lose their homes to foreclosures as much as they are now. People didn’t complain that gas prices were too high as much as they do now. People, especially veterans weren’t left unnoticed on street corners begging for money.
This isn’t about blue or red, right or left, dem or rep. This is about America and how well it’s doing. As I look about today I feel ashamed that our country as a whole acts the way that it does. I’m not a Republican or a Democrat I am a Constitutionalist.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Bush bashers generally parrot, unthinkingly, fabricated propaganda. They have been in many ways brainwashed, just like many of Clinton bashers. It doesn’t really matter, however, since Bush still won, and, more importantly, it keeps them focused on the wrong target. As long as they sling their nonsense at Bush, McCain gets a free ride. Keep it up. And thanks Oliver.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Sorry, Sergemeister, blaming Bush for your job loss (sorry) is like blaming your children for your bald spot. There is no causal connection. Period. Likewise, Clinton had nothing to do with the surplus. Just ask all the people that lost their money when the dotcom bubble burst. Constitutionalist, eh? You don’t sound like it. Bitter propagandist? Absolutely.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Agreed. These people are blind. Let’s go ahead and trust someone in the office with next to no experience.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
We don’t have to worry about who they will trust. Obama, in his attempt to triangulate with voters, is already adopting most of John McCain’s positions, from telco immunity to offshore drilling. This will both alienate and suppress his base and reveal McCain to be the more authentic candidate and a leader. McCain has a virtual lock on the White House.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Ha J, Case, you make me laugh. You assume I’m a bitter democrat when I’m niether. Both parties are two masks on one face. Your the one that’s under control and believes in the illiusion of choice. Mc Cain and Obama are a major strand in the web of deceit.
Don’t even think about it John. I’m way above your rush limbaugh school of excellence. Mega Dittos pal.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
I don’t assume you to be anything other than a propagandist. I doubt you really know which candidate comes closest to your well-buried views on the issues. Politics in the United States has left the issues long behind. It’s a sport now, with people rooting for uniforms. That would include you.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Wow, your a bitter person, ordering people around like you have any right.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
790, You’re completely right. It is heartbreaking. It’s heartbreaking that nobody has any of their own opinions and they jump on the liberal bandwagon. It’s heartbreaking that anti-Americans are a dime a dozen these days. It’s heartbreaking to see everyone slander and destroy the only one who stands to fight true evil. But I’m just glad I don’t live in fear every single day of my life, because I can sleep easy knowing the Patriot Act is doing it’s job.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Look at the aftermath of 9/11. Not a single attack on US soil or on US interests outside of Iraq. Had this happened under a Democrat’s watch, the same folks would give him (or her) credit for it. Because it happened under Bush’s watch, he can’t possibly get credit. It’s such transparent silliness. No rational person, of course, could deny Bush all credit for the absence of such attacks.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
George Bush is one of the greatest presidents our country has ever had. I mean, he’s a cowboy, what more could you ask for? Going after those who commit injustice in the world. Anyone who looks at how he has handled his administration can see that he is trying to be responsible with what he is able to obtain. I think Bush should be give a medal for how awesome he is.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
In more or less words 7th, yes.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
Hell yeah. They should make a movie about bush that actually shows his strengths instead of his weaknesses. Maybe people would learn something they didn’t already know. I mean, the media is so liberal that they never talk about his accomplishments.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
/fipineapplem?
And yep, I’m looking forward to this, should be interesting…
August 4th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
John Chase,
Voltaire once said “disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” I agree 100% with this, I have, and will continue do the same for you and any other American at the drop of a hat. The facts are the facts, my friend and during the Clinton Era people were generally happier despite the dotcom bubble bursting, In what I recall was 2000, riding the coat-tails of Clintons Presidency.
Here is my retort to your statement about me;
I never said that my not having a job was Bush’s fault. I said it was the fault of the recession that we’re in. If you want to follow the doctrine of these people to claim to be representatives of this country, all the while being leaders and advocates to the whims of foreign nations, be my guest. I completely agree with 790. I believe that most followers are fairly ignorant and have a similar view of candidates and people in office as the one expressed by 7th son.
As far as me being bitter and a propagandist, I will admit that I am bitter, and if you had read my entire post you would know exactly why. I think I am allowed to be bitter. I am not, however, a propagandist. I don’t care for either party and don’t spout progaganda to assist any faction in this. I am a Constitutionalist and very proud of it. It’s the facts that seem to weigh, financially, against Democrats and it’s a fact that I’m willing to concede with. I believe in Constitutional government as this country was at the beginning and should be now.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
“I never said that my not having a job was Bush’s fault. I said it was the fault of the recession that we’re in.”
“The fact is, when a democrat (Clinton) was in office there was a $236 Billion dollar SURPLUS as opposed to the current $9.5+ Trillion dollar deficit that there is now thanks to republican (Bush) spending.”
A+B=C A= “I said it was the fault of the recession that we’re in.” B= “$9.5+ Trillion dollar deficit that there is now thanks to republican (Bush) spending.” C= Bush
….
I just gotta say this …… John Case your a f#*king r3t&rd. Your beyond help my man. Your insults to Sergemeister are offensive at the least. Take your Neo con ass and f ooff. You and your ilk make me ashamed to be in the same country. Idiot !!!
And Daft Punk, it is your duty as an American to question your government. Do your homework !!!!! You make me sick with your blind faith and your blind obdience.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
sergmiester go gobble your pap pap’s doddle
August 4th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
Yeah i fail. I’m going to go an hero to the sounds of the greatest band of all time: Good Charolatte.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
I win.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:52 pm
Dudes. I just had a revelation. I like men! I’m off to have gay sex with my many male partners!
Nice 7th. Use my name to write something I would never say. Nice misspelling of the band name also. Props.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
Oh yeah, because they deserve to have their name spelled correctly. gg fag.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
agreed, epic fail.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
John Case, wow…
People like you are a fucking dime a dozen. What makes McCain electable? Not a damn thing. I’m not even going to give you a rebuttal, all I’m going to say is The Republican party is a joke, so are the Demarcates. But I would take a well spoken Harvard law grad, over a ” fake war hero.
I bet a liberal media whore like yourself would just love to point out every little malicious detail about a subject. People like you truly have evil in their hearts.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
@John Case:
So you wish to give W. credit for 9/11 now?
In order for Obama to “triangulate” with McCains supposed “positions”. McCain would actually have to know what those were… http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/16124.html
Don’t vote for Juke Box John McCain J-ace He plays whatever tune he can to play you.
wtf is a demarcate?
John Case F*ck you!! 8 Years of bush was more then enough for me to say fuck being a republican or “conservative”. There isn’t anything conservative about bankrupting the nation.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:59 pm
7rth son, what’s it like to be retarded in thr 2008’s. bra ?
You sickin me/ I puke
I like Bush, but this movie simply seems boring…
“No hate speech allowed. If you must argue, please debate intelligently.” I see you didn’t read that - “f#*king r3t&rd” hardly seems intelligent. I was just waiting for the “Neo-con” comment, like clockwork I tell ya’.
Again, you are right 790. My duty as an American is to question my government, and I have done so (I can’t believe you haven’t realized this). Except the difference is, I’ve done it with common sense and good judgement. Refer to my comment about the Patriot Act, I questioned why it was necessary. Through the simple act of *thinking* I came to the conclusion to support the protection and observation it provides.
Blind faith in my own self morals and beliefs that mirror the views and opinions of the Republican Party? You betcha.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
I don’t agree with either of you fakes, your in the dark if you think there’s nothing about McCain. McSame, wow, original!
August 4th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
John Case F*ck you!! 8 Years of bush was more then enough for me .”
Hey he still has a few months left. Why don’t you end your own misery, kill yourself, and do us all a favor.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Is it because I called you ignorant that you resort to childish name calling and name-using 7th?
I mean seriously, if you believe that Bush is this Cowboy (admittedly afraid of horses and isn’t even from Texas, born in Connecticut) that goes around fighting terrorism and can’t, even after spending trillions of dollars and killing thousands of our troops by repeatedly sending them to a country that wasn’t responsible in the first place, find the person that took responsibility for the attacks of 9/11, Osama Bin Laden, then you sir, or child, deserve to be called ignorant.
My apologies that you’re parents didn’t raise you right.
7th son
funny …
August 4th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Yeah. “neo con” more like neo com. As in communist. Liberals are trying to slowly but surely turn this country into pre cold war ussr. We need to preserve our freedoms, not hand them away to everyone who fails at paying for medicare.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
exactly, I couldn’t say it any better then how TheDaftPunk just did.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
YOU IDIOT LIBERALS ARE THE ONES WHO STARTED THE NAME CALLING. God why can’t they preform more lobotomies in California?
August 4th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Oh and Mcsame (your name is ironic btw because bush bashing is a bandwagon subject) I wasn’t joking.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Besides, if you idiots don’t like the way our health care system is being run right now, go to Canada. It’s not like their economy is in worse shape than ours for that same reason….oh wait….
August 4th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
Please enlighten me on what McCain has to offer.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
DaftPunk,
This:
“my comment about the Patriot Act, I questioned why it was necessary. Through the simple act of *thinking* I came to the conclusion to support the protection and observation it provides.”
- protection and observation are not the same. Observation is against your Constitutional rights. So is the removal of Habeas Corpus. Blind followers led by a false prophet lead countries to war and ultimately to self destruction ala Hitler.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:12 pm
Oh surgemeister you’d love it if i was a child wouldn’t you. Then your idiotic rhetoric may actually make good points, because you would be on the winning end of a one sided battle of wits. You however, my idiot, have come to the battle unarmed.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:14 pm
Surge have you ever played a Real time strategy game before? Most of them cover most of the map in what is called “the fog of war” so that you cannot “observe” your enemy. This is done because if you could see what your enemy was planning, then you would be able to be one step ahead of them. Now surge, do you want to be one step ahead of? or behind the terrorists? Moron.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
we are not even in a recession !!!!!! look at the definition of a recession. WE havn’t met the terms of it!
the media just likes to say we are.
7th son, is stupid .and i have everything 790 says all the time… Sergemeister…get off the post and find a job, problem solved
john case..i like you
August 4th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
God why can’t they preform more lobotomies in California?-7th
They haven’t gotten around to you yet!
I’m from Arizona, and I know what McCain has to offer. If it’s any indication of what he did for Arizona, then he has to offer absolutely nothing. He’ll just keep wasting money in support of the war, while our borders are wide open and our dollar keeps decreasing in value. Thank you Dems and Reps!!!
August 4th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
sorry 7th , i put the wrong name, i like you
August 4th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Reason…..What problem do you have with me? Other than you can’t seem to form a correct sentence when talking about me? I’m not stupid. I just like it that GWB is a cowboy. So sue me for being an idealist.
Exactly, get your facts straight. and 7th isn’t stupid, he has a good point. Even if you think it sounds childish.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
Wow we are trillions of dollars in debt….and not even one trillion has been spent on the war. Stfu nub.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
Sorry reason, I thought you would like me on account of you siding with Case…All is well ^_^
August 4th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
790 made a good point just now, glad he hasn’t backed out knowing he would fail, kinda like the democrats would do in the war.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
Funny thing is I’m from your(7th son) heroes state. The Great state of Texas. Austin Texas that is. I really didn’t know that people still thought highly of good ol’ W. And please stop calling anyone that questions the government a liberal. I am not, and never have been. But the fact of the matter unlike you (most likely), I have the traveled out side the great states and seen the way people look at us, as if we are war hungry assholes. I remember when the world looked at the US as the beckon of hope and freedom…
200,000 Germans stood for 4 hours to see our future president speak.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:31 pm
7th,
“You have come to a battle unarmed?” Very witty. Unfortunately, I didn’t come here to fight, just to leave a comments and stayed for the discussion that you are turning into a shouting match.
I have played a RTS before, and I’ve been in the military so the term fog of war is a very familiar subject. I don’t understand how sending troops to occupy a country where people suicide-bomb American soldiers for the sake of it, is being a step ahead of the terrorists. In fact, sending troops and depleting our own country of them is opening ourselves for an attack. If there was surveillence to be done, there are government agencies that have professional espionage techniques to find intel on suspected terrorist activity. I fully endorse finding terrorists and taking them out, but at what cost? What has it cost you? I’ve had at least 3 friends that died overseas doing routine inspections.
Reason, I would but it’s almost midnight and way beyond working hours. The search continues tomorrow. If there were any true conservatives left, finding one wouldn’t be a problem would it?
August 4th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
You are an idiot MCsame. GWB isn’t the government. He’s just the head of the executive branch. Therefore, he doesn’t have complete power, and therefore isn’t his fault the economy is so bad. You are a liberal if you’re voting for Obama because he has liberal ideals. You are a liberal if you don’t like Bush because from a conservative(like me’s) standpoint, he’s been doing a pretty damn good job. Which I’m sure will be the case when McCain gets elected.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
anyway ya’ll have a good night, I can’t keep my eyes open.
MCsame, I think John Case was pretty clear in his posts.
“Obama, is already adopting most of John McCain’s positions…This will both alienate and suppress his base and reveal McCain to be the more authentic candidate and a leader. McCain has a virtual lock on the White House.” - John Case
The aforementioned reasons, and the lack of experience in comparison to McCain’s, is a fairly probable reason McCain is more electable - final outcome aside.
Sergemeister, according to some far left conspiracy theories: Osama Bin Laden is dead. That’s why Benazir Bhutto was assasinated, she knew about it (having said in an interview “…the man who killed Osama Bin Laden”) and the CIA had her killed. Apparently.
Sergemeister, observation is what has saved and continues to save many lives. In times of emergency, I don’t mind relinquishing those civil rights. If I’m safer (and the entire country, for that matter) because a government agent is listening to my calls, terrific. I see you keep referring to the founding fathers and their policies and views. Yes, most of their opinions and visions for the country should be maintained and respected. However, the times have changed, and I don’t think they envisioned radical jihadists killing thousands of people through means of terror and fear. I sincerely doubt they would have defended Habeas Corpus so steadfastly, (especially when applied to them) in this situation.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
“I don’t understand how sending troops to occupy a country where people suicide-bomb American soldiers for the sake of it, is being a step ahead of the terrorists”
You liberals love to change the subject don’t you. We were talking about wire tapping you boob. Get a grip. Also, this is a battle of wits (there’s only one T in wits) because we are debating political issues.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
7th Son
Fiscal conservatism- .[I]t is to the property of the citizen, and not to the demands of the creditor of the state, that the first and original faith of civil society is pledged. The claim of the citizen is prior in time, paramount in title, superior in equity. The fortunes of individuals, whether possessed by acquisition or by descent or in virtue of a participation in the goods of some community, were no part of the creditor’s security, expressed or implied…[T]he public, whether represented by a monarch or by a senate, can pledge nothing but the public estate; and it can have no public estate except in what it derives from a just and proportioned imposition upon the citizens at large.
In other words, a government does not have the right to run up large debts and then throw the burden on the taxpayer; the taxpayers’ right not to be taxed oppressively takes precedence even over paying back debts a government may have imprudently undertaken. -wiki
So you aren’t a “conservative”. You’re a Neo- Con
“I just like it that GWB is a cowboy.”
What makes him a cowboy? Seriously, you that are from Texas and probably consider yourself a Cowboy, what makes a cowboy?
“Wow we are trillions of dollars in debt….and not even one trillion has been spent on the war.”
You’re ignorance is palpable. For your reading pleasure:

Neoconservative is a political philosophy that emerged in the United States from the rejection of the social liberalism, moral relativism, and New Left counterculture of the 1960s. It influenced the presidential administrations of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, representing a realignment in American politics, and the transition of some liberals to the right of the political spectrum; hence the term, which refers to being ‘new’ conservatives.[1] Neoconservative emphasizes foreign policy as the paramount responsibility of government, maintaining that America’s role as the world’s sole superpower is indispensable to establishing and maintaining global order
August 4th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
there it go’s again, you liberals telling people how it is again. you have no right to say what he is or isn’t.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
That was a nice little rhetoric on something from the dictionary, but I doubt it will ever truly describe our government. And you want to bitch about conservatives and taxes? Lets look at two examples (quite large ones at that) of liberal figure heads driving up taxes:
Taxing us for poor ppl’s wellfare (which is the most retarded thing ever and will surely plunge our already struggling economy into a depression)
And taxing the rich a higher percentage than the poor (unfair taxation without representation. If i pay more (in percentage) than someone else then my vote for elected officials should be worth more than someone who is poor). I’m not saying my vote SHOULD count for more than a poor persons, but that would be the only fair route if they’re going to tax me a higher percentage than them.
Gentlemen TheDaftpunk and 7th son are all fools who have no idea what they are talking about.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
Yes we do sir that is our right. The government is in place by the people or the people. Or it was.

Well said revelations…Maybe next year you can graduate the 4th grade and learn some more about what the government actually is!
August 4th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
no it isn’t, you can’t tell 7th he isn’t something when he clearly is, and believes he is, your little wiki dictionary won’t change that.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
And thanks McSame but I’ll choose my own labels. I choose to be a conservative because i believe in what our fore fathers believed in. One nation, Under God, with liberty and justice for all.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
Of corse, who believes in the one true God now a days. You have to be an athiest, scientologist, or agnostic to be cool.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
7th you truly believe that GWB administration has made this nation a better one over the last 8 years?
August 4th, 2008 at 11:57 pm
7th If you don’t mind, how old are you?
I’m 22
August 4th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
TheDaftPunk,
I like your views and like I’ve said before I have and will continue to protect that. Regardless of the mindless remarks by some on this comment thread, there are some that are willing to make a reasonable argument like yourself. Thank you for that.
I don’t consider myself a liberal, but I also don’t consider myself a conservative, at least not in the way they are portrayed nowadays. I do keep referring to the founding fathers, and the reason I do is because I believe, that which was written in the Constitution should be followed regardless of the times. There are ways to do things that don’t involve radical change to an Americans rights. If we can’t have our rights protected by allowing our civil liberties to stand, then we are no better than any other country and that is shameful.
Between the two candidates that we are offered, I accept neither. Had it been some other Republican with a solid stance on all the issues and a record to back it, then I would be all for that. Unfortunately, no dice.
Oh JESUS, man, give it a rest. Anytime a movie like this comes out, about current issues, jackasses like you come out and spew your garbage views on what’s going on.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:00 am
I’m 18. And what GWB has done in office is helped the people in the time of need. However, the economy has been bad as of late, but I don’t think thats his fault. He’s been fighting terrorism very effectively though. (The Iraq war has nothing to do with terrorism btw, so don’t even make reference to that in your retort).
August 5th, 2008 at 12:08 am
18? 7th, How would you know how the economy is doing? You have your parents caring for you still, you don’t know how the economy is, you have absolutely no clue. You probably listen to that kook Alex Jones over in Austin don’t you? Do you subscribe to his views? I was a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines with 16 years, I joined the Corps as soon as I turned 17. I lived through all of this nonesense and I’ve seen how badly Capital Hill manages troops and thats the reason I retired. I’m tired of having lived through the change of America being thought of as a World Power, envied by the world now being regarded as a joke, resented by other nations. Do yourself a favor kid; go to your recruiting office and sign up for a quick 4. Learn what it’s like to see it all first hand and then come back. Live a few years without mommy and daddy fitting the bill and see how the economy is doing.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:12 am
Good for you dude.
lol Help the people= patriot act
Economy= war on 2 fronts and Big Oil
Fighting Terrorism= The Taliban is gaining more control every month in afgan
My dad and brother are in the service.
army and national guard.
I’m glad you have an opinion. Do some research about the government. The government is sneaky.
Good chat Good night
Looks like they got a tip from Fahrenheit 9/11.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:13 am
god dammit, you can’t seem to stop assuming things and telling people how it is, for all you know he’s living on his own, paying for everything he has. Just because you stayed with mommy doesn’t mean everyone did.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:15 am
Wow you know everything don’t ya surge. Just because I’m young doesn’t mean I can’t be political. That’s what this nation is about: giving everyone the chance to have their say. You obviously don’t support that though. You can sit there and bash wire tapping, but can’t let me, someone who is even old enough to vote, talk about the issues at hand? This is why liberals don’t deserve the right to vote. They are completely off base with the whole idea of government. You truly deserve God’s pitty, because obviously he didn’t put you on this earth with too much of a brain.
My dad for your information used to make a lot of money and was fired abruptly for “no reason”. Do you know how hard it is to go from having things to not having things? That is actually harder than never having had things in the first place (i use the basic term things because there is a pretty wide spectrum of things you can do with money).
So yes you dumb p.o.s., I DO know how the economy is. And I’m not going to join the army, because I feel the need to further my education, and build myself as a person. Maybe if you had done that YOU would know how the economy is. Fool.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:16 am
Gentlemen=STFU
August 5th, 2008 at 12:19 am
Mcsame you are officially out of this conversation. Telling someone to shut up is basicly showing the white flag.
Thank you Mcsame, for granting me the knowledge that I have destroyed you in this argument. Go ahead and tell me how to do something again please.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:20 am
MCsame, thought you were going to bed.
I can tell you one of the reasons why “everyone” thinks America is a war hungry nation. It all started back in Vietnam when liberals, the left, and supporters of free love believed the war was unnecessary. Popular opinion was to be against the war, and the bandwagon started to get heavy. This was all domestic opposition, and other countries probably thought “Hey, they’re doing it to their own country, we can do it too!”. America’s policy of containment was strict, therefore, further spread of the [terrible] system of communism (don’t even get me started with China) to a new Democracy was crucial. Of course, the defeatists endured and saw their wishes come true. Although in an ideal world, we would have unlimited resources and popular opinion would be supportive, the former is impossible, but not the latter.
Also, I never want to hear how America is a “war hungry nation” while the nation of Islam (the religion of peace) is still in existence. The only thing they understand is war, they thrive on the death and destruction of innocents (and infidels) and America and all that is stands for.
Sergemeister, I respect your views as well. In regards to the Framers, however, that is where we differ. I think change is necessary and critical in certain situations, and if other ways were out there, I think they may have presented themselves by now. Believe me, I don’t smile upon destroying the foundations of this nation (which I don’t think is whats being done), but if it were possible to deal with these problems without doing so, count me in. Like I have been implying, no way exists, and the way we are dealing with it is the only effective way.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:21 am
wow mcsame you are a selfish idiot. Just because pap pap and bro bro are in the service you think that means that they would want you to bash the country? I bet your father would be ashamed of you. You little worm of a person.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:23 am
7th you’re a tool…
” daddy was making a lot of money and now he doesn’t”
“This is why liberals don’t deserve the right to vote”.
hahahahaha dude you’re a well spoken idiot.
Please never vote. Ever
August 5th, 2008 at 12:26 am
WOW WAY TO TAKE THINGS OUT OF CONTEXT
dude seriously….I told you you were out of this conversation. Lets keep it that way.
I never said thats why liberals don’t deserve the right to vote. IF YOU COULD READ you would see that i said they don’t deserve the right to vote because they are off base with the proper definition of what our government means to our country (i.e. they blame it for the economy being bad when the government has little to nothing to do with it). You truly are an idiot and pretty much everyone in here will agree with me when i say: isn’t it past your bedtime?
Nice Mcsame, dodging the fact your argument is nothing but fail, I’m quite surprised you didn’t order 7th to not vote.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:28 am
Agreed.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:29 am
7th Son=twat. My dad is very proud of me. I go to the U of Texas . I work for the film commission in Austin. What have you done. O btw I pay for school and my living, not “pa, pa”
August 5th, 2008 at 12:30 am
“If you must argue, please debate intelligently.”
Obviously this wasn’t read by 7th,
You obviously like being the tough guy on the internet, it must be some syndrome or something. It’s too bad that you won’t join the service and put your heart into something truly conservative, maybe you just wouldn’t be able to cut it. Military Service is as much a responsibility to every U.S. Citizen as voting is. If not doing it makes you a better person and makes me a “dumb p.o.s.”, then I can imagine what you must think of all the servicemen and women that do what they do for you.
So, Kid, do what you want. Sorry that your pops lost his job, I know the feeling. I was given no reason also. BTW, you come off very disrespectful. If you want respect, learn to respect others. Never once did I call you anything insulting like p.o.s or any of the garbage that you said. This is the reason I keep responding to you. Young people nowadays expect respect without giving so much as an ounce.
So go vote McCain or Obama or whichever of these clowns you want to vote for. I’m glad you have the right. Good discussion, see ya later!
By the way, MCsame… Several top Taliban leaders have been killed recently, including possibly Ayman Al-Zawahiri. One could only hope.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:33 am
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are government-sponsored enterprises that between them finance or guarantee over $US5 trillion ($5.1 trillion) of housing mortgages in the US. Fannie Mae was created as a government agency in the 1930s Depression and privatised in 1968, though retaining a cosy relationship with the US Government. Freddie Mac was set up in 1970, also as a government-sponsored enterprise, to provide competition.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Serge you’ll learn after you get re adjusted to civilian life that some people don’t deserve respect. Like 790 and mcsame for example. You look at this conversation and think that i’m trying to bully, but look at how many times he just insults me without reason or backup, just because i stirred up the perverbial hornets nest. I’m just trying to portray my views. And you guys aren’t really making any good ones about politicians or political views. You are just sitting here and insulting people. That is the deffinition of an idiot. One who doesn’t even know enough to discuss the issues at hand. And you think it is “every american’s duty” to become a soldier? Who would run the busnisses and pretty much everything else in the country if everyone became a soldier? Not everyone can be like you so don’t try to put them down for not being as tough. That is the definition of a bully.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:38 am
Nice comment with no point mcsame. Getting a little disoriented from the lack of sleep?
Thanks daft punk
August 5th, 2008 at 12:40 am
and i didn’t say you were a dumb pos because you were in the service…I’d never say that. I said it because you said i was too young to be talking about political issues, basically insulting me.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:43 am
“blame it for the economy being bad when the government has little to nothing to do with it”
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the giant government-sponsored enterprises set up to provide affordable housing across the nation. By issuing debt, these shareholder-owned companies guarantee or own more than $5 trillion in home mortgages. Got that? $5 trillion.
Because the federal government established the companies, investors view them as backed, at least implicitly, by taxpayers. And that implied guarantee is what drove Fannie and Freddie’s business models.
house market crash….
August 5th, 2008 at 12:49 am
The companies are started by the government to try to stimulate the economy. This is something that a liberal idiot like yourself should actually be interested in because it is there for people who can’t afford housing. They did similar things during the stock market crash during the 1920’s and 30’s. These different groups actually really helped to give people jobs and re stimulate the economy to the point of, and past its former glory. So in short, these things are helping the economy, not hindering it. Dumb a$$.
August 5th, 2008 at 1:09 am
yep, anytime a guy jerks it in coffin for a frat, has his family rigging presidental elections so he finally succeeds at something in life and let’s not forget, he lied and countless innocent people died because of it…yeah, that guy deserves a medal. a big shiny medal. W. is a reel american hero. whooeee! heeee haaww!
August 5th, 2008 at 1:17 am
wow newt more dumb a$$ liberal rhetoric. He never lied. We really thought there were wmd’s in iraq because sadam wouldn’t let us see if they had them or not. And who really gives a sh1t what he did as a young man. That doesn’t have anything to do with his presidency. Learn to spell.
August 5th, 2008 at 1:38 am

Hee! Haw!
August 5th, 2008 at 1:43 am
Tough guy aside, 18 is when you are legally an adult. I wouldn’t assume 7th Son is still under the care of his parents, nor would I assume he doesn’t know how the economy works. Like I said in a previous post, people from around the world look down upon the United States for many foolish reasons, especially their own liberal thinking. They look at the war in Iraq, (which has justification, just poor execution) and jump aboard with everyone else. Why do they even pay any mind? Certain countries offer no support and have nothing to say but harsh and malicious words, France and *some* of it’s citizens for example. Grateful in 1944, bandwagon in 2003. I don’t understand why they feel that way when the US is ending a dictator’s reign for the good of it’s citizens, which is exactly what we did for France with Hitler, but we’re the bad guys when we do that to another country and it’s citizens? Okay.
August 5th, 2008 at 1:48 am
sarcasm doesn’t make your right, GG
August 5th, 2008 at 1:54 am

Lol Mr, Death ! It is kinda cool. ^ Ok wow look at all neo-con love goin here. (International readers, trust me not all Americans are this stupid,)
Have to wonder who’s using my name and calling me Gay. Peter maybe you could look into that and perma ban whoevers doing that. that’s absolutly the sign that you have no argument or point left in your brainewashed head. ( Daftpunk, 7thson,). Not even I will sink to that level, must be pretty desperate at this point fellas.
7th son your comments are pathetic and hypocritcal to say the least. There’s one of you on every Bush related post. Your a baby among men. I don’t want your respect as you have none anyway,, the way you label anyone that has a point an idiot. Like bush ,your halarious and tragic at once. To all the tards that call bush a hero for standing tall against the evil terrorists, there’s a FEMA camp with your name on it. The level of stupidity shown here allmost gaurantees that this country is headed down a deep hole.
((((Briefly on 911, and then I must get back to my 3 -way. ))))))) There are too many lies involved with this event. This administration has been caught in many more lies since. What makes you believe thay they would not lie about that day? About how it happened and why it happened. Basically if you watch building 7 collapes and don’t even suspect controlled Demolition ? You are firmly grounded with a very dangeorous delusion. All you “guys” that think bush is fighting terror, have alot to learn.
Ok 7th son,, where’s the lube. …….
August 5th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
this debate has been pretty heated, i think that its way off topic, but its fun anyway.
the truth is, no one will ever win this debate, even though one side is right and one isnt. some people are too stubborn to see the truth. The truth is all around us, as plain as the eye can see, but these people wont admit it, because they are raised that way, o well. in the end the truth will be evident, and one side will have to own up to it.
this movie looks kinda dumb now, i thought it was going to be serious, but if its a comedy, then it will be a waste of time.
August 5th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Hm, did I type in slashfilm.com or slashpolitics.com?
August 5th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
Thanks Peter !!!!!!! Slashpolictics ?? /Peter. Hmmm??
