The same goes for Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. Those movies must address the darkness as well as the light of each character. Green Lantern is about imagination, which can be used for good and bad, and the line is very fine.

Wonder Woman is about the darkness and light of being a woman who is strong. Her strength can be used for good and for bad, and there are elements of feminism and anti-feminism that can be explored.

Back to the DC Universe. Superman and Batman Already established, they would make stand alone films to see 1st how Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Man Hunter. Forget Green Arrow, Aquaman, i dont see how they can work.

Wonder Woman should be patterned a little after Xena Warrior princess, if she is to work. If Wonder Woman, Flash, and most importantly Green Lantern movies were succesfully established, then they may not need to make of movie for Man Hunter. Maybe not even Wonder Woman, but if she is to be in JLA. They better get her character right. Each Superhero movie should complement one another not take away from the other.

I’m not against a Batman/ Superman Movie. Just do it right.

i never accused anyone of being racists. i said they were saying things that sounded racist. maybe that was the wrong word. i’m not the guy that immediately tosses that out at people.

what i do know is you mention common and suddenly there is a backlash that isn’t about him specifically but his day job which just happens to be populated by about 99.5% black men. in the same forum people have said they don’t mind rappers making movies as long as it isn’t in their legit hollywood movies (which sounds like the movies are illigitimate). people (and i am using this as an analogy) can say we must protect our borders but there is no militia building a fence in michigan. it may not be their intentions but it looks really bad.

that’s how it came across, and i said it ’sounds’ racist. not that it was, not that anyone was, just that’s how it sounded. like “she has a pretty face for a fat girl” sounds like a compliment.

so to recap, rappers can’t act and should stay in their own movies eventhough several have been nominated for academy awards and have worked with a-list talent, they’re still not wanted. they are a plague on our society. if something doesn’t personally involve you, then you shouldn’t point out if you find it wrong.

i honestly don’t care if common plays green lantern. i just care that the guy they get is good at it and i won’t judge him because he’s a rapper the same way i would judge a comedian in a drama or a wrestler who has aspirations higher than straight-to-video sequels to “mummy” remake sequels spinoffs. and everyone here knows the only reason john stewart is a character in a justice league movie is because they have to have a black guy because if this were a “green lantern” movie the conversation would be who will be hal jordan. nobody would even consider hinging a green lantern movie on john stewart.
