That is exactly what I think if they did the riddler, I wish that they could cast jeremy Irons from twenty years ago for it too because he is an awesome actor, but that is who I see as the riddler, not some joker copy like people (who don't know thier fingers from thier toes) seem to think.

the joker and riddler are nothing alike, the joker is a psychopath who laughs at morbid jokes, the riddler is a genius with a criminal pathology that forces him to make things into a riddle, the riddler is sophisticated, calm, and collected, not like the jim carrey version. The joker is almost never calm or collected, though much better than the riddler.

I don't wanna see riddler just because I think Ideas like the black mask, or catwoman (Yes a great catwoman) would be better.

I always assumed the next movie would have The Joker in it. Perhaps in a movie version of Arkham Asylum (a graphic novel from the nineties where Bruce Wayne questions his own sanity during an Asylum siege). The question shouldn't be "who should play the Riddler" but "who would pick up the Joker character after Heath Ledger did such a great job of it". I'd love to see a new Joker give it to a new Robin.

Riddler, Catwoman and Penguin could be like the Scarecrow character from the first two movies: minor thugs and mob bosses. Heck, they could throw in Croc and other silly minor villains.

I dont think 2-Face should have died. In the Dark Knight. I mean they didnt even give the guys face time to Scar "Like in the other Batman seris and what not.". i would like to see in the next Batman movie "if there is one" that Riddler and the Midget from the cartoon be in it "forgot his name". Another thing is the black guy on the boat who threw the det. over board will some how tie in the next movie.

i think black mask is the best choice 2 go with in the next film, not only does the character fit well with a more serious approach of batman, remember batman is a fugitive now so he's not gonna run around as batman anymore he's mostly gonna be bruce wayne, and black mask hates bruce wayne alot more then batman, IMO i think this would be a great pick but i think whatever nolan chooses will be good

i wish that heath ledger could return as the joker. i think that they counted on him for batman 3. it would be hard to follow him up but the joker would work good with a riddler and a penguin

I would love to see Catwoman, not as the main villain but as a part of a bigger scheme involving the mob, I think Black Mask would be a great villain, but he's not a big name to non-fans. I'd love to see Poison Ivy too, but I doubt that will ever happen. Although getting rid of her super-powers and making her an eco-terrorist could work.
Ideally, I would want a film that has a female villain, because Wayne has some obvious relationship issues.
Having Selina Kile as Bruce's love interest fits with the theme of identity, because she is attracted to Wayne because he's Batman, not because he's a handsome billionaire. It would be interesting to see how Batman deals with someone who he cares about breaking the law.

I actually think that Johnny would be an awesome Riddler, and they should get Crispin Glover as Joker. But, I’m not very excited on seeing Catwoman just yet. The idea of Penguin’s appearance does though, I’ll admit that. But I’ve seen rather convincing posters for the 3rd film, but this article speaks as if the film is far from being made, so obviously their fake. But if anyone believes they might be real, please let me know, because 2011 is a long time to wait.

I saw that list of villains posted here. And it states Penguin is a definite not. I hope that isn’t true, but if it is, I think the only good replacements are either Bane or Freeze. Harley Quinn I don’t think should appear just yet. If any ideas on her, Joker should be shown throughout the movie and then by the end he should be released by Bane (ordered by Riddler), from Arkham and then MAYBE bring out Harley. I’m sorry I’m not a very big fan of her’s.

After studying Dark Knight, the third film is set up already. Batman Vs. Gotham The villain that needs to be done so that a true appology is given to the fans is Bane. A villain who is on par with Bruce’s intelligence andis more than a match for him physically. Bane could easily take advantage of the fact that Gotham City does not view the Batman in the best of lights currently and decides to capatilize on this by commiting murders to draw out Batman into a one on one confrontation with the greatest opponent he has ever hunted. This is the hard part. Bruce CANNOT beat Bane. The only way for him to win in a fight against him is to kill him. He MUST become the murderer to not only save Gotham, but to survive as well. just a possibility
