Wow...this actually looks like a real film. Very excited.

Trailer smartly focuses on the best part of the 6th book (well, really, the only good part of the 6th Book), so Yates is on the right track with that at least: it's the most filler-filled volume of all, so one hopes that reports of excessive liberties taken with the source text (More Malfoy, please) are accurate.

I'm a Harry Potter fangirl, and this trailer was incredible. From looking at the trailer, they've got the tone of the book down perfectly. Young Tom Riddle is exactly how I imagined him to be.

I was really disappointed with the other films because I always thought that they never did justice to the books. But watching the trailer from the view of someone who has never seen the others or read the book makes it look really great. I'm hoping they slam this one out of the park.

looks like they got beat to the punch, but I think they'll have a bigger picture.

Being a major Potter fan, I felt the films never really did justice to the books, as usual, but this one looks the part so far. Dark and eerie with a strong psychological twist - perfect. I'm sure the movie itself will have the usual Potter campiness which will slightly ruin it, but so far, so good.

Looks good. Nothing special though.

My favorite book, Tom Riddle's story and the end should be great.

This one might make me (and everyone else not interested in Harry Potter) go and watch the whole series...looks like a winner!

That trailer almost made me forget that the sixth book was 90% whiny teen bullshit and 10% good. There may be hope for this movie yet.

I love the younger Tom. The cinematography looks better. The atmosphere is actually frightening. It seems that all the good things from number 5 are going to be amplified. I hope they don't hold back and make it brutal.

The new Dumbledore wasn't great for me either...until the last one. I think with this one he'll make it all okay.

Plus, I can't imagine Harris doing those physical scenes. He was amazing, though.

Order of the Phoenix was such a let down, I'll probably never forgive David Yates for that. I'm impressed with what I've seen, but still so so angry.

This is the movie that's being split into 2 right? Does anyone know at what point in the book they will split?

-no disrespect meant to the departed - but new dumbledore is far better than the very kid-friendly old one. his mannerisms and vocal work drive home the dumbledore reveal that rowling made after deathly hallows. he's dumbledore the way mckellan is gandalf.

-these films have really hit their stride. and when introducing evil at a young age, THIS is how you do it (ahem, phantom menace anakin was a joke, ahem).

Looks promising. I'm a little bit sick of dark evil children, but whatever. Focusing on Voldemort's origin has a lot of potential. (Especially his mom's creepy family).

I'm sorry but Richard Harris doesn't hold a candle to Michael Gambon.

of audio. lol

I happen to like both actors who have played Dumbledore. The only thing that bothers me about Michael Gambon's version is
he doesn't wear the half-moon glasses. Yes, it is a terribly small
thing, but it is so often referred to in the book that it feels like they are part of the character's personality.

Wow, just saw it in all its HD glory. I'm actually stoked to see this...I feel like I'm finally waking up from the awesome dream that is TDK, lol. I almost forgot that there are other movies to see :P

With seriousness, as awesome as Richard Harris was, I like Michael Gambon much better. &this trailer looks amazing, maybe they'll actually make fans happy with this one. This book had so many awesome things it, I can't wait to see what they do.

Wow. I like my harry potter movies like I like my coffee...Dark and fucking awesome! Can't wait. other than the deathly hallows this was my favorite, should be fun.

I actually thought Order of the Phoenix was one of the best films of last year, and easily the best Harry Potter film so far. It was so much more intense and their was a real sense of danger, the only other one to do that was Prisoner of Azkaban.

Goblet of Fire SUCKED major. They cut so much out. At least OOTP couldn't help that because the book is nearly 800 pages.

Anyway, trailer looks awesome. It has kept the dark tone of the 5th movie and will turn one of the best books in the series into hopefully a great film. Lets hope Yates can still perform just as well for the first and second installments of Deathly Hallows.

M'gonna sound like I'm echoing some of the people here already but I agree; looks pretty good.

Yeah, I just caught that. Fenrir Greyback shows up from 1:02 to 1:03 in the trailer. You have to pause to actually get a decent look at him.
