SAW V Teaser Trailer

Lionsgate premiered the first teaser trailer for SAW V at Comic Con, and it’s now available online on Yahoo. The trailer begins very untraditionally, actually more like a film you would expect to be the complete opposite of Saw. And then suddenly we get assaulted by the film’s true nature - the trap. But the big question is - how will they continue to keep Jigsaw involved in the storyline. Watch the trailer now below.

SAW V hits theaters on October 24th 2008.

    well that was stupid.
  • joelnstuff
I hope this flops... Hostel 2 style...
  • Saw is as useless as a third arm.
  • salthegeek
    well hear we go again

also Marcel: a third arm would be awesome
  • Adam B.
I have a feeling I'll see this regardless if it's good or not, it's just like tradition every October.
  • Claude
I love the Saw movies for their twists. Every year when I go to watch a saw movie I say to myself that this time I'm gonna try to see what the twist is before they reveal it yet every time they manage to surprise me. In saw 4 I saw one twist coming but the other 2 totally caught me offguard. IMO Saw movies are worth their 10 bucks just for the 5 minute reveal at the very end.
  • Tom
I wonder how ridiculous and full of plot holes this one will be
  • WoW, short a great song ruined by a fifth installment of what should of been one great film, that was the dumbest thing I have seen all week.
  • nick
    screw u guys saw rocks
  • peteo
I want Saw V to succeed, just to rile up the holier-than-thou haters. lol.
  • Muff Fever
I can't believe people like torture flicks this much. It's probably that 20% of America that are pro-Bush and pro-torture.
  • Aqualeo
    Claude,

I agree with you. I love the twists in this franchise. I don't watch them for the gore. I love the story and how all the movies can be viewed as one movie experience.
  • Is that Luke from Gilmore Girls (My GF is a huge fan... no, really she is)? If only this took place in Stars Hollow...

Otherwise the teaser did nothing for me. There are worse franchises than Saw.
  • B33
Meh. Really wasn't impressed, and this is coming from somebody who enjoyed the first and fourth film to the series.
  • Christopher
Can't say I'm really excited for another Saw, but I love these "bait-and-switch" style trailers. Though Red Eye is still the prizeholder for them.
  • E
These movies really need to stop being made there shouldn't have been one made ....let alone five
  • SAW is corny, I know, but it's still gory, fun and a thrill to watch.
  • Matt
Muff, I've watched and enjoyed these films because they're thrilling, not because I like torture (but I do :P).
Yahoo needs to get a new flash player. poopoo
  • Mayroth
i love saw, but, honestly, they need to stop making Saw films.
  • Ian
If you don't want them to make any more Saw films then you don't love them. And everyone forgets that these movies aren't made for their plot. There can be as many holes as the writers need to put in there, as long as the movie delivers what it's supposed to. And they do in this franchise, because none of them haven't made me cringe (in the best sense of the word) at the gore and be surprised at the plot twist.
  • greycolumbus
    @ Ian

I actually watch these films for the plot. I think it's interesting.
  • dude
It's all about the gore and the crazy sh!t they do to people, nothing more.
    And they do that well.
  • From what I've heard, they're supposed to be making 7 of them, so be prepared for two more years of Saw at Hallowe'en...

I personally love the series, although Saw IV was a little lacking in the "tying everything up into a neat little package at the end" department.
  • Than again, maybe Saw V will fill in the holes I noticed in IV... Maybe I won't know the whole story until 2010
  • Christine
You know what? I LOVED the new wave of "ultraviolent" horror to come out over the past few years. I thought Rob Zombie's movies were excellent. I thought Hostel, and even its sequel, were great. The Hills Have Eyes remakes, The Descent, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, all of it. But this? This is just ridiculous.
  • Pricilla
I really want to know how long there gonna keep up with these movies.... I mean seriously...
  • James
For the people who hate the saw films why the fuck do you keep watching them, are you that fucking stupid. The saw films are made to get people talking and that's what they are doing love it or hate it, Saw rules.
  • JaX
Wow.....You Saw haters are all ridiculous....how bout you all look pass the plot...really i dont care about the holes...holes or not...the movie was great..great scenes, great everything...its funny how you all have the patience to come here and chit bout it...and ii bet all of you are gonna go see the damn movie like it or not...
  • todd
i agree with you jax, saw haters will still go see the next saw 5. if they hate the movie so much why do they take the time to look for a saw chat site and say how bad of a movie it is?
  • bob
this show looks kick a$$. saw rocks
  • Sweet Pea
Man, I'm all for SAW, It's twisted and it gives a rush! I can't wait, bake my head and go to the show.

    Have fun guys
