this is just what we should expect from the multi million dollar corporation’s , they can’t come up with anything new so they take all the old shit and just run it into the dirt . i can’t wait for the day when there’s nothing left for them to ride dry and the company’s go under cause of the retarded high up’s in expensive suit’s . i give it twenty year’s top’s and they will have no movies left to remake and the company will start to slowly go bankrupt , and on that day all great movie will be safe .

This is just plain stupid.
You CAN’T remake The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
It is a CLASSIC, you just CAN’T remake a classic… it is completely stupid. Cult Classics are my favorite types because so few people know of them that are my age. If MTV remakes my FAVORITE movie since I was 5 years old, it will cause so many people to just go along with the MTV crowd which will ruin it for BIG fans, like myself. Yes, Rocky Horror stuff will be sold basically everywhere… but it’ll be NEW Rocky Horror stuff, not old stuff based off the original cast.
I’m sorry… but them remaking this movie is just a mistake. This movie was not made for this generation and doesn’t fit in this generation, it was made for the generation it came out during and fit then. Well… in a weird cult classic way.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray this is all just one huge Joke from MTV and that they aren’t serious… PLEASE tell me that they will scratch this just plain stupid idea and remake something that can be remade… like the Titanic or something.

Tim Curry actually cannot step in and say anything as he does not hold the rights to the movie. Also, in order for MTV to even say they are remaking it, they have to get the rights of the movie from the man who created it, which would be Richard O’Brien. So apparently, he gave them rights to make it.

I personally will go see the movie, it might be good. And as much as I despise MTV, they may be able to be creative enough to make this movie good.

I threw up in my mouth a little when I read this horrible news. Are you kidding me? I grew up with RHPS and I will quite possible slash my wrists if I see some teenyboppers like Lindsey Lohan or the Jonas Brothers try to fill the gorgeous shoes of Tim Curry, Little Nell, Patricia Quinn, etc. MTV - where’s the creativity invent new ideas don’t try to remake a cult classic! I dare you to make it better or to find somebody better than Tim Curry! As somebody who is currently in the Rocky Horror Show theatrical production as Columbia - I’m very annoyed and disgusted. What happened to the MTV I knew in the 80’s?
