The Creatures and Characters of Monsters vs. Aliens

Dreamworks Animation has released eight promotional trading cards showcasing the creatures and characters of their upcoming 3D computer animated film Monsters vs. Aliens. I’m sure these will be available on the comic con show floor somewhere.

Monsters vs. Aliens hits theaters on March 27th 2009.

    You know, just from my first glance Bob looked like something Seth Rogen would voice, and I looked it up and is is him!! lol

    I don't know about that, but Ginormica looks a lot like that woman that helps Mr. Incredible escape in the The Incredibles.

    I could go for this just being an Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman film. All the rest, this way or that way, is just kiddie overkill.

    Some extra info. Ginormica is 49 Feet 11 inches tall and played by reese witherspoon. Doctor Cockroach is voices by Hugh Laurie, and The President isn't Greg Proops, its Stephen Colbert.

    All-in-all, pretty slap-dash, re-hash, cheap and quickie with not much thought or originality. The title itself is lame-o: "VS."?, "MONSTERS"?, "ALIENS"? Why not call it "DIE HARD WITH TRUE LIES"?

    The cast looks like a pick-one-from-each-species assortment with no rhyme or reason, except of course the classic films THE BLOB, GODZILLA, and ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN. And who thought of a fur-bearing insect alien? A JACKALOPE would be more smooth.

    I don't have high hopes.

    Well a strange charakter desing, and @julius zimmermann is right. It's a lame combination of old classics. poor dreamworks, for have so less kreativ swing.
