64% of Dark Knight moviegoers say they plan to see the movie again in the theater, according to a poll conducted this weekend by fandango. Sixty-two percent of those respondents said that Heath Ledger’s incredible performance is the factor that makes them want to see it a second time.
Discuss: Do you plan on seeing The Dark Knight again on the big screen? If so, why?

July 21st, 2008 at 5:11 am
I want to see it on the BIG screen, so I can see all that IMAX detail you keep talking about. Like most fast-paced films, I assume you miss all the background detail and the second time you see things you missed the second time. And with all the detail that was in the viral campaign, I can imagine there is a ton subtly added to the background.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:14 am
I did see it again already and will at least once more…. All for the magic trick and what heath ledger would do if he caught the car…..
July 21st, 2008 at 5:18 am
Yes sir. Because it’s awesome and I want to go to an early matinee where people aren’t cheering through brilliant dialogue that I couldn’t hear. Happy morons. :)
July 21st, 2008 at 5:19 am
i want to see it again… in normal theatre…. i dunno, IMAX just seemed very.. ‘in ur face’
not too fun when u cant focus on the full screen at one time
July 21st, 2008 at 5:23 am
Yep. Saw it in IMAX the first time. And yes, it’s Ledger’s performance that makes me want to see it again.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:23 am
IM GOING BACK TO LOOK OUT FOR CAMEOS AND OTHER EASTER EGGS I MIGHT’VE MISSED.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:33 am
yes I’m going to see it again, and that is exactly why.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:37 am
I totally agree with Afa, IMAX was a bit too in your face to truely enjoy everything….. I need to see the entire movie without having to keep turning my head. lol
July 21st, 2008 at 5:41 am
We have only 2 IMAX Theaters in germany, so me and a few friends are driving to Berlin just to see it in IMAX, the next day i’m going to see it again with my girlfriend in a normal one.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:51 am
If I had a car, I would have watch the movie for as long as I had money, but I don’t have a car.
I really want to watch it on the Big Big Screen, to see if it is as great as you guys say it is.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:56 am
This was the best movie of this cinematic generation. It’s the Raiders of the Lost Ark or the Empire Strikes Back of our time.
When I saw this movie opening night at 1am, I sat there, at the end of the credits thinking, “FINALLY.”
That’s why I have to see this movie again.
July 21st, 2008 at 5:59 am
I saw already twice, but I certainly NEED to watch it again and again and over again…
July 21st, 2008 at 5:59 am
I’ve booked tickets for the 23rd and the 24th cause I know I’ll have to see it again. I believe in the UK you get a free 3-way holographic poster of Batman/Two-Face/The Joker if you attend the screenings on the 23rd.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:03 am
I already ended up seeing it twice in theater. normal screen the first time so I wanted to catch an Imax showing.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:12 am
I’ve seen it twice on the megaplex and plan on seeing it on the Imax, then maybe a couple more time on the ol’megaplex again. The first time I went back was to spot things that I might have missed the first go around. Now I’m going back because I enjoy watching a good movie, and those are hard to come by nowadays. So why wouldn’t you go back and see this thing multiple times.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:15 am
Nope, no way. Once was enough and while it was brilliant, I left feeling that I would only ever bother seeing it again for Heath’s performance. The rest didn’t fascinate me too much. So for that, I can wait for the DVD and save my ticket price for something else. Did it live up to the hype? Hell yes! Was it really THAT GOOD? Err, no. You’ve all bought into it a bit much I think. 7/10.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:17 am
I have to go see it again because we had a guy in our theater who thought it would be better to talk on his cell phone then watch the movie. Ruined the whole midnight showing. :(
July 21st, 2008 at 6:19 am
haha I already saw it the second time..and it was mostly because of how great the Joker performance was. I am going to see it the third time on IMAX.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:20 am
I want to, mostly for Heath’s performance… nah it’s all for his performance.
Unfortunately I don’t think I can afford it. I may have to wait for DVD so I can watch it as often as I want.
Quick Question…
Why does Batman talk in a gruff voice to Lucius Fox when he’s explaining the cell-phone spy thingy? Lucius already knows who he is.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:33 am
YES YES YES…
IT’S LIKE THIS. I went into TDK wanting to be entertained and ended up being drenched in all the emotion and richness of a complex dramatic story.
Think of it like this: You go to a soiree expecting to drink some wine and get drunk. And then the host pulls out a $250 bottle of wine and pours you a big glass. You drink it, and you love it, but you know you don’t full understand all the flavors and richness of what you’re taking in. So I’m going back to the wine bottle to more fully comprehend all the flavors that the makers have packed in.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:39 am
The wife and I are planning on driving an hour and twenty minutes to go see it at IMAX. We saw it Sat at the matinee.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:43 am
Yeah maybe, because it was a great film. I saw it twice this weekend. So maybe I’ll chose between that and the mummy when the time comes.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:51 am
It all depends. I might go see it again, but I am still not sure because I have other things I need to do first with my money for college, but if I can I will.
On another note, does anybody think that a huge drop (around the area of 60%) is in order for the dark knight’s second weekend?
July 21st, 2008 at 6:58 am
I already saw it twice. First was in IMAX and the second was in a regular theater. I’m going to see it a third time too. IMAX was incredible, but I don’t want to pay the extra money, so I’ll go to a regular theater.
I wanted to see it again because I was so blown away by the grandeur of the film that I missed a lot of plot points and didn’t really understand the fine details. I got all those the second time. I want to go for a third time because it’s just that good and it’s definitely worth the money.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:05 am
Yup. I’ll be seeing it again on the Imax again. Because it WAS that awesome.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:06 am
I’m seeing it again. I saw an IMAX sneak preview for free the wednesday before it was released. I’m gonna see it with my friends who haven’t had a chance to see it yet because of work. We’re probably going to go to an AMC since there’s no IMAX by my house. So I’m gonna rip on them and tell them how much better it was on IMAX
July 21st, 2008 at 7:07 am
I definitely going to see it again. Hopefully on the IMAX.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:09 am
I havent seen it yet but if i have the money i will go twice
July 21st, 2008 at 7:18 am
I’ve already seen it 3 times because of Ledgers performance. Going to see it in Imax next week.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:22 am
I plan on seeing it at least one more time on a regular screen and for the first time on an IMAX. We have an IMAX in my town, but it never gets the big movies. The closest I’d have is a three-hour drive to either Nashville or Atlanta, but I understand the drive is worth it. Although I have heard through the rumor mill that my local IMAX is trying to get their hands on it.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:27 am
i saw it 2x already and i must say that i still feel like i missed some of the details on the background, i think that heath did the best job anyone could think of up till now and he certainly made the role his.
the problem is that i wish the other actors would have done the same with theirs becuase he makes them all look so booring by comparison. i think batman was cool showing off his nija style but his fights were a little un-impresive, they should have had him coming out of the shadows like in the first movie.
they really need to make batman into more of a thriller so he scares the crap out of us when hes out at night even if we know hes on our side.
it should feel like when you buy a house and the house comes with a german shepperd that you dont know if you can trust but you know will take care off the house
July 21st, 2008 at 7:30 am
Saw it in IMAX. Ledger was not there. There was someone else though, that I want to see the film again. He goes by the name “Joker.” This film kicked ass and still kicking some other asses.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:36 am
At least once more, this time on Imax. I saw it opening night on a normal theater when people were rowdy. Also it was really late so I might have gotten tired and didn’t get to absorb all the details.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:39 am
I have seen it four times (thats mainly due to living next to a theater with four dollar matinées.) You only really need to see it twice, once on a regular screen by yourself in the afternoon the silence and stillness brings a new quality to it. Secondly see it in IMAX with a packed place, it’s like being on some crazy theme park ride with a bunch of other people. The regular/IMAX difference is so dramatic. I think/hope that once year IMAX theatres roll it out for a week or weekend every year, because you will never get the experience at home once it makes it to DVD.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:41 am
I have the advantage of working at a place with an IMAX theater, so i will be seeing this multiple times on IMAX, when we finally stop selling out of tickets.
As of midnight last night, we were sold out of the Dark Knight until Tuesday, and all of our evening performances were sold out until Saturday. This movie is beyond huge.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:48 am
i’ve seen TDK twice, and i gonna see it again!
July 21st, 2008 at 7:50 am
I’ve already seen it twice in theaters and I’m planning on seeing it twice more in IMAX and then another time as soon it’s a triple feature at the drive-in
July 21st, 2008 at 7:57 am
I’ve already seen it THREE times and I have tickets for an IMAX show this afternoon. I’m planning on breaking my own personal record, set after seeing “Minority Report” six times back in ‘02. After today, I’m only three screenings away from being a total geek loser. Awesome.
July 21st, 2008 at 7:59 am
I’ve seen it twice and I am not done seeing it in theaters.
The Film itself is just so much more than a batman movie. Not only is it wild to see my favorite super hero in a film that nails every thing i love about Batman and the universe he exists in. But it is also a testament to great filmmaking in every aspect, be it cinematography down to production design. There are a lot of astonishing elements in this film that deserve recognition past the usual movie goer “amazing!” response.
It certainly left me without any words to say.
July 21st, 2008 at 8:05 am
Yes! There’s no doubt this film will get sizable repeat viewings. With a 155 mil opening weekend it will be interesting how much of a drop off it will have in weekend #2. Overall the film will probably top out at 450 mil in the states when all is said and done. I expect this to be a big attration in the Imax theaters all summer long.
July 21st, 2008 at 8:14 am
I’ve seen it twice already, and now my mom is wanting to see it, so hopefully I can go with her to catch it a third time.
July 21st, 2008 at 8:26 am
I’m definitely seeing it a third time, but it’s going to be in IMAX. I already saw it twice in the theater and it was truly because of Ledger’s performance as The Joker.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:05 am
One word. IMAX
July 21st, 2008 at 9:05 am
I plan on seeing it once again later this week in a regular theatre, and then again in IMAX. I’m sure neither of those will be the last time.
I’ve never before left a theatre absolutely speechless, until this film. That’s why I’m seeing it again.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:06 am
Going to see it again at the IMAX.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:11 am
Yeah I saw it twice opening weekend and will see it in IMAX next. There’s a lot of little things that I didn’t pick up on the first time.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:19 am
No, I won’t see it again. Once was enough.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:32 am
Same as the majority on here. I was lucky enough to see the midnight showing at a regular theatre and now i’m waiting for the hype to go down to see it in IMAX
July 21st, 2008 at 9:42 am
saw the movie on tuesday early premiere from 95.5 and i had high hopes for this but um i was pretty disappointed though i liked heath ledger performance thats why i saw this movie and thats it
July 21st, 2008 at 9:46 am
Saw it again last night. Will see it again on wednesday..
July 21st, 2008 at 9:46 am
I will definitely see it again. In fact I am going tonight after work. Ledger’s performance is so nuanced, so detailed, it requires a second viewing to catch all the wonderful things he does with the character.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:47 am
Its just a great film. I’ve seen it three times and I’m planning to see it again in IMAX. I can never get tired of this film. Hollywood underestimates the power of a good film.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:49 am
i’ve already seen it 3 times and i wanna see it again, and its not just because of heath ledger’s performance. the whole cast was really good, yeah, heath was the best part of the whole movie but everything about this movie was just great. so i’ll probably go see it so many more times even before it goes out of the theaters.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:53 am
I saw the dark knight twice, and I want to see at least twice more that I thought it was a good film, not only for Heath Ledger, although its role in this amazing
July 21st, 2008 at 9:58 am
I saw it in IMAX on Tuesday and in 35mm yesterday.
I plan on seeing it in IMAX again, it was so much more amazing…
July 21st, 2008 at 10:08 am
I plan on seeing it again and as many times as possible because its practically the only chance I get to watch it in the IMAX format. Also, Its just a damn great movie.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:09 am
I already have. I saw it twice on Saturday.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:20 am
I saw it on IMAX yesterday and almost peed my pants at some of the photography. Wally Pfister get your Oscar speech ready. However, the sound wasn’t very good (The Bridge theater near LAX) and it was hard to understand the dialog sometimes. Next viewing will be on a reg screen.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:23 am
Yep, watching it again. IMAX? You’re next!
July 21st, 2008 at 10:34 am
Damn fine film. Great perfomances and many
“holy shit” moments. The Joker is simply captivating
whether it’s something he says and more importantly
what he does, Bale plays it superb as Batman and Bruce
Wayne, and it’s always shocking seeing Two-Face for
the first time. Can’t wait to see it again. I can’t say
enough about this fantastic movie.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:41 am
I’ve seen it six times and plan to go a lot more. Every time I watch and a Ledger scene ends I think “bring that clown guy back.”
July 21st, 2008 at 10:42 am
I guess I fall into that 60-something percent. Definitely going to see it again, and Ledger’s performance is the reason why.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:49 am
Saw it again last night, gonna wait a week and see it on Imax.
July 21st, 2008 at 10:58 am
yes i’m going to see it again, and i hope they burn in hell!!
July 21st, 2008 at 11:01 am
saw it in both formats, will see it again in IMAX - its the only way to see this one.
hey guys, what easter eggs have popped up so far?
July 21st, 2008 at 11:10 am
I’ve seen it twice and planning to see it at least 2 more times, this movie is so re-watchable and I don’t think Heath Leadger (R.I.P.) is the main factor. The story is good, unforgettable unique scenes, as well as the action, I don’t know! there is something about it that makes you want to see it again.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:15 am
Seen it 3 times now, last time on Imax, flippin amazing.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:16 am
I thought IMAX was amazing, and I hope I can see it again in that format. I want to see it again because it FELT like there wasn’t enough Batman, but then when I look back on it - there were a lot of scenes with him. I guess I’ll just have to focus on Batman.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:16 am
I’m going again on Tuesday and I’ve already seen it three times. In early August, I’m going to take a four hour trip to see it in IMAX. Amazing movie.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:28 am
Definitely seeing it again. And not just for Ledger’s performance. But the overall film.
The 3 major character, including Gordon are the reason why I want to. Nolan created a great film here.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:34 am
im seeing it again cuz im not really sure i liked it the first time.
dont get me wrong, ledger was incredible, but i had alot of issues with the pacing, tone and overall lack of actual batman action.
hopefully a second viewing on imax will sway my decision
..flame away
July 21st, 2008 at 11:41 am
I’ve seen it three times, first of those on IMAX. Tuesday is #4 on IMAX and Thursday is #5 on IMAX a third time.
The movie is fantastic and so multi-layered, I try to focus on something else each time. Everything fits so well, and its two hour thirty minute runtime is economical. It deserves the top spot on IMDb.
If I ever have to hear about intercutting in a class again, it better be about the scene with Loeb, Scirillo, and Dent being targeted instead of the Baptism scene.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:54 am
evergreen,
That scene was very, very, well done.
July 21st, 2008 at 12:08 pm
The best reason to go see it again is to “vote with your pocket book” and send a message to Hollywood:
“MOAR MOVIEZ LIEK THEES PLZ!”
July 21st, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Hoping to go to a matinee today but if I don’t I’ll go next weekend for viewing two. My friend who I’m going with it’ll be his third. Like The Departed the fast pacing and cuts between scenes leaves a lot of room to catch stuff on the second time that you couldn’t get the first. Also, I want to memorize more Joker quotes.
July 21st, 2008 at 12:42 pm
I’m going to see it again, most likely this weekend. I don’t feel
like I grasped the entirety of the film with one viewing. All the
performances were wonderful and I loved that Oldman had more
screen time as Gordon. Eckhart is fabulous as Harvey and then later
as Two Face. His transformation is amazingly tragic. There’s nothing
I can say about Ledger’s Joker that has not already been said.
I also felt like Bale was more comfortable with the Bruce Wayne
character and played the arrogant playboy rather well.
July 21st, 2008 at 1:26 pm
There isn’t an IMAX in my country yet (Venezuela) but I am so watching this again in one of the many VIP screens in town. This movie deserves an extra admission price. The chase scene alone is enough reason.
July 21st, 2008 at 1:31 pm
Actually scratch that: if I could see it on an IMAX screen, I’d see it again. But I don’t want to ruin myself when I buy the DVD (still no Blu Ray for me). So, unless some of you kind Americans are willing to invite me over for an IMAX showing and house and boarding for a night for a complete stranger, I guess two is the limit for me. Heck it WAS two on the same day, by the way!
July 21st, 2008 at 1:33 pm
I’ve already seen it twice. IMAX on opening day, and on a normal screen the next.
I’m goin’ back this weekend to see it again on IMAX.
July 21st, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Of course 2 or 3 times more
July 21st, 2008 at 2:03 pm
man i’ve already seen this movie twice at the multiplex and the far better and more visually “active”, IMAX. it was a very amazing experience in IMAX.
July 21st, 2008 at 2:17 pm
The question in the next few days/weeks is obvious: Can TDK surpass Titanic?
July 21st, 2008 at 2:19 pm
The IMAX format was made for a movie like this. I plan on a second trip back.
July 21st, 2008 at 2:38 pm
i want to see it again, but i am so broke it isnt funny. If i can find a cheap ticket, i will jump on it. I said befire that this movie would make me cream, but it didnt, it made me literally piss myself. i had to take a shower when i got home at 3 am.
this movie is incredible, better than any other batman ever made. I was one of those guys who really loved 300. All of the bad-assness of 300 was rolled up into one magnificent moment of pure awesome when the joker made that pencil disappear. that was amazing. i never missed heath ledger as much as i do now.
July 21st, 2008 at 2:41 pm
before*
if heath ledger was still alive, i would pay to see a joker spinoff. that is how much i loved his performance. a movie about joker would have been fucking awesome
July 21st, 2008 at 2:49 pm
I’ve seen it three times, and it still memorizes me. I’m going to wait a few weeks and see it in imax again. heath’s performance still amazes me. I was looking at tickets, and imax is still selling out in orlando. haha. wowww. but then again, it’s still opening weekend.
July 21st, 2008 at 3:04 pm
What see it twice? No way dude you gotta be kidding me.
JT

July 21st, 2008 at 3:10 pm
hell yeah i want to see it again, not only because of heath ledger, but also because i had a dick sitting next to me who wouldnt stop giving second by second comments on what exactly he was thinking in his head…it kinda killed it for me
July 21st, 2008 at 3:19 pm
LUVDIT!
July 21st, 2008 at 3:23 pm
I wanna see it again in imax
July 21st, 2008 at 3:28 pm
I saw it IMAX style midnight premier-then the day after on a regular screen-and I’m telling you right now, I plan on seeing it at least two more times within the next 2 weeks or so.
I feel as though there is too much to soak in all at once- Heath’s performance being one
July 21st, 2008 at 3:37 pm
saw it midnight on friday morning and 9:50 again that night…seeing it on imax friday
July 21st, 2008 at 3:41 pm
How could anyone see this movie again? Mob mentality. It was not awful by any means but the hype is too much. It was “multi-layered”? Maybe I was tired but I had a Redbull before I went in.
Acting - average
Cinematography - no Michael Mann/Peter Berg or Paul Greengrass
Effects - not enough, so why IMAX?
Plot - basic
Themes - did not come full circle … one viewer mentioned he did not grasp the entirety of the movie in one sitting, buddy, that’s because the writing was shoddy, especially between Batman and the Commissioner in the final 30 minutes! It was like somebody with a good point arguing it poorly.
I did not leave this movie thinking “wow” or being excited in any way. I was actually let down. I got more enjoyment watching The Insider … which I will be watching again tonite.
I Am Legend is better and so is the Directing, the Themes, the Acting, the Story. and the fear.

I will go see it again because
heath ledger’s JOKER makes
jack nicholson’s JOKER look like
PEE WEE HERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this IS the joker’s movie, plus
TWO FACE kicked major ASS!!!
July 21st, 2008 at 3:48 pm
dave in nj:
are you fucking kidding me???
TDK is way better than I AM LEGEND!!!!
the “monsters” in LEGEND looked like shit!!!!
plus will smith sucks! dude what are you smoking??
July 21st, 2008 at 3:55 pm
I saw it again and i almost fell asleep in all the scenes where I didn’t see The Joker. That’s when I realized that Heath Ledger IS the reason why this movie is so darn good.
July 21st, 2008 at 4:41 pm
“I Am Legend is better and so is the Directing, the Themes, the Acting, the Story.”
hahaha get the fuck out of here. You’re also not to be ever taken seriously again for even putting Greengrass’ name right next to Michael Mann.
NEXT!
July 21st, 2008 at 5:28 pm
I have seen it 4 times last weekend with different groups of friends and I like it better each time I see it, I will see it once more next weekend and that will do it for me until it comes to DVD then I will buy it. As for Heath Ledger I thought he was great, but I also thought Aaron Echart was just as good, if not better.
@ Dave in NJ
you just didnt like it because they didnt show Batmans nipples, thats why you didnt get excited and go “WOW” after the movie, I think you should continue reading Playgirl magazine and stop puting your stupid comments on here!
July 21st, 2008 at 5:37 pm
Gary,
Each facet found in the film was executed so well. And they had enough space to come into their own the right way.
Seeing it again tomorrow :)
July 21st, 2008 at 5:54 pm
yes! Tuesday on Imax with some other friends who havent seen it yet. I saw it the first time at midnight in a regular theatre. im going back to see it again cause I enjoyed the entire movie experience, not just because of Ledger, though his performance is Oscar worthy.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:06 pm
Yes, definitely seeing it again. Saw it at 12:01 opening day in IMAX. Going again on Friday with a 17 person group from work in IMAX. THEN, going again on Sunday with MORE people in IMAX. I can not settle for a shitty small shitty theater to see this movie. I can’t wait to soak in Heath’s performance. This is going to be a long damn week! ARGH!
July 21st, 2008 at 6:33 pm
my oh my just came in from seeing the glory unfold at my local imax and it blew me away …next chance i get to see it iam gonna take i dont care if its 15bux a ticket …i cant wait
July 21st, 2008 at 6:48 pm

July 21st, 2008 at 7:44 pm
Ive seen it twice already, and I am going again to see it in Imax tomorrow.
I am no Batman fan, I have never seen a Batman movie or TV show until the day I saw Dark Night (I saw Batman Begins before leaving to the theater to see Dark Night), and Dark Night has to be the best movie overall that ive ever seen in my entire life.
Everythings good, All acting ESPECIALLY Ledger, the plot is great, and all the editing and effects are amazing. Simply put, they perfected every aspect of this movie; and they have the finest film of all time to show for it.

I saw the movie on Friday when it came out. A few hours after I saw it another friend asked if I wanted to see it (he didn’t know I had already seen it earlier).
I said yes and saw it again only a few hours after I had seen it the first time.

Me too! I’m gonna watch it again but this time in 35mm widescreen. I can’t wait for the release of the DVD copy or BluRay.

I have already seen The Dark Knight 4 times with various friends and family members. Everyone who I take loves it and there’s almost always a mention of seeing it again.
I loved the film and Heath Ledger’s performance was brilliant to say the least. However, I feel that Nolan made a few bold CGI and subplot moves I wasn’t particularly happy with that the movie could have just as easily done without. Nevertheless, the film was incredibly well done, the cinematography spectacular, and most of the acting impeccable. I’m not sure if Ledger will receive a posthumous Oscar for his performance, but he certainly deserves it. Looking forward to the DVD and Bluray release. Until then, I’ll probably see it again and again.

I’ve just seen it a third time, once on IMAX, once on normal and once on ExtremeScreen. I understood it the best and I loved it the best this time round. No more now for a while, I want to let it soak in.
I get Harvey better this time too. You could see it was going to happen to him, Rachel or no Rachel. And he was pissed at Gordon not because of Rachel, but because Gordon was the system he believed in and Gordon let him down.
And if I had to sum up what TDK was about in one word, it would be -
Belief.

To b perfectly honest when I’ve heard back in 2004 that a new batman film was about to come alive on the big screen again I wasn’t so enthusiastic about it… Although I am a big fun of the character I was disappointed by the last movie, which was presented by Joel Schumacher … Since I’ve seen the Cristopher Nolan’s version I fell in love again with batman.. I just became a child again.. That’s the Batman we always dream of. A very dark and serious character with angry eyes and scary voice…With no Robin, catwoman etc… I am of the opinion that Christian Bale was the obvious choice… I couldn’t wait for the sequel… And here we are, in 2008, after I’ve seen The Dark Knight twice, I want to see it again and again… I believe that it is the God Father Part II of the BC movies… Of course it was much better than Batman Begins.. Finally I’ve never seen a villain like Heath Legder before… A whole different approach to the character of Joker… He deserves the Oscar… The best batman movie I have ever seen…

I will always treasure Michael Keaton, but this is in a whole other league. I saw it Friday after driving to two theaters because of sell-outs and Saturday night having to order tickets online due to sell-outs. I wish I had the time to see it everyday until I tired of it. I saw a couple of bloopers, like Gordon’s glasses missing the bottom of the frame when he holds gun on Joker; Dent on his way to jail handcuffed or not as scene moves forward. But it doesn’t matter. I texted everyone when I got out and said its the best movie I have ever scene in my entire life. Maybe I mean action movies, maybe I mean comic book movies. Right now, and for a long time to come, I mean any movie. Transformers was satisfying and killed Fantastic 4. Dark Knight quenches that which was not imagined and annilates EVERYTHING ELSE in its path. I wish Ledger had not passed, he deserves all the glory for his oustanding performance, dead or alive. Hats off also to the choreographing of Bale’s fight scenes. Two hours and forty minutes of continuous adventure and thrills. Worth every penny and more.
