The Pitch: Greedo shooting first was only the beginning… In the upcoming Raiders of the Lost Ark Special Edition that doesn’t exist, George Lucas has changed this classic scene so that Indy isn’t the one who shoots first.

Kind of funny that they actually did shoot a longer fight sequence, and in fact Lucas preferred the longer sequence. Apparently they did test screenings with both versions, and the gunshot got the biggest laugh in the film so they went with that.
