D-List actors and bad actors aren’t the same thing. Is Carla Gugino a huge star? No. Will she do a great job? Yes. Ditto Patrick Wilson, Billy Crudup and Jackie Earle Haley. I’m glad there are no name actors in this movie. Who needs to see a huge star in a role to make sure the character is well-done? Remember when nobody knew who Hugh Jackman was?

I guess you think the characters from the original would have looked less-laughable?

Too CG heavy? How else would they make a blue 200 foot man destroying people in a vietnamese battle? How else would they make the Owl ship shoot from under the ocean? How else would they de-atomize a man? Oh I forgot…practical effects.

I guess you can call the Smashing Pumpkins gay, or one of the more influential rock bands of the 90’s….

Really? Is this movie going to be as terrible as a fetus being killed?
I think you just like going against the grain…to each their own I suppose.

I can’t wait to see this movie, I’d rather Snyder make it than anyone else, for instance a watchmen movie by anyone else would have pissed me off. Snyder’s loyal adaptation of 300 is proof enough that he cares more about the source material than most other film-makers that adapt other I.P.’s

The film is a whole year away. They had to put this trailer together to play with TDK. The effects are still being worked on.

@SUe - Snyder wouldn’t be my first choice to helm this project by any means. Or even my tenth. Yet Dave Gibbons supports his efforts, so I will too. Snyder does in fact seem to ‘get the work’. Go here….http://rss.warnerbros.com/watchmen/

Also, we’re still eight months out. The CGI in the teaser isn’t what will ultimately appear in the final film. As far as the acting, let’s wait for some scenes that display some to judge it, no?
