The second movie trailer for Catherine Hardwicke’s adaptation of the best selling novel Twilight is now online. I know that the /Film readership isn’t exactly the target demographic for this film. It’s a hard sell, especially considering the trailers for both Terminator 4 and Watchmen have hit the web in the last 24 hours. And while I’ll admit that I’m not yet sold on this film, the intense fandom has me extremely curious to see it. I’ll say that this new trailer is an improvement over the last.

looks like a huge long episode of buffy the vampire slayer.
pretty bad, from the cinematography to the acting, jesus christ.

  2. Gravatar

    “You brought a snack”

Hahahahaha… I’m sorry but this still looks embarrassingly bad. I really don’t get this Twilight craze at all. And no, I’m not going to go and read the books. Don’t tell me to do that.

  3. Gravatar

I’m a bit of a fangirl for the series, so I’ll admit I’m looking
forward to the movie. This trailer is definitely better than the teaser and has me feeling more confident that the film will turn out alright. Even if it doesn’t it could very well be added to my guilty pleasure list.

  4. Gravatar

    meh

  5. Gravatar

    I’ll pass.

  6. Gravatar

I read the book just to see what it was all about. It’s passable, not good enough to be the craze it is (is anything ever?) but it’s alright. This movie? It looks like a flaming pile of garbage - taking a decent book and turning it into a terrible movie, good job Summit.

  7. Gravatar

Eh, I’m a 16 year old girl and I haven’t read these books.
Well, I read half of the first one, but I honestly didn’t care for it.
I AM the target demographic for this movie, but it looks like
it just doesn’t have any substance to me. Although, I’m sure
most of the female population at my school will say otherwise.
    -_-

    I’ll stick with Harry Potter.

  8. Gravatar

    Wow….that looks…..really…..DUMB

  9. Gravatar

that dude sounds like bowser when he attacks… i had to go to the twilight site to see the thing, it didnt work here.. on my way out i sent peter an e-card from there.

i hope you liked it peter, see you in homeroom XOXOXO!!!!!!!!!111

  10. Gravatar

All i have to say… What is up with Edwards Look??? I mean when i read the story i imagined a pretty boy, not a make-up wearing gothic boy.

I liked the books, but like Han Solo once said…

” I have a bad feeling about this!”

  11. Gravatar

    LOL @ big daddy.
Let’s hope you can avoid the essay length arguments with the crazy
    fangirls this time around.

  12. Gravatar

  17. Gravatar

    Someone needs to choke kristine.

  18. Gravatar

Notice how the only people excited for this movie are preteen girls with broken caps lock keys who double post.

All I have to say about this movie is LOLOLOLOLOL

  19. Gravatar

Lame reminds me of The Covenant. Which the trailer and the time seemed better yet sucked. So I only can imagine this.

  20. Gravatar

OMFG!!! all you haters! what is your PROBLEM?!?!?! half of you even admitted you havent read the books! good lord! you cant be hatin on something you dont KNOW!!…this movie is genna be awesome i dont care what ANYONE sayss!! i mean it’s not possible to beat the books but EVERY SINGLE person picked for the cast is absolutely perfectt! :D

  21. Gravatar

    Someone needs to choke alyssa.

  22. Gravatar

i’m just gonna say. i have no idea if this movie will be good or bad. first of all, the guy who plays edward [ still can never remember his name ] , i started out thinking he was too ugly, then i thought he was kinda good looking but then i see him at 00:48 seconds. wow. bad angles or something?
but i still think this movie looks decent.
except some bad lines. “are you afraid?” “i’m only afraid of losing you.”
and i’m not a fan of “you better hold on, spidermonkey.”
and bella’s [don't know the actress who plays her] little speech. “pale white…ice cold.” whatever.
i do love the line “i had an adrenaline rush. it’s very common, you can google it.”
and i actually like the line “you brought a snack.”
    anyways, i’m rambling.
    bye :)

  23. Gravatar

oh shut upp! (not morgan aha, ur kool ;P)…i mean captain awesomee…am i the only one that finds it totally rediculous that most of the ppl commenting on this thing are HATERS?! what on earthh?! if you dont think its good, then why the hell do you watch it?!?! wow…and im not looking to be hated by anyone (cough cough, captain awesome) but i rly dont like when ppl hate on twilight when they HAVENT read the books and HAVENT seen the movie…soo just chill and keep ur hating comments to urself!

  24. Gravatar

You know, Alyssa, perhaps if you used proper grammar and punctuation we might actually be inclined to take you seriously. Until then, please don’t turn this comment page into a flame war. The people have spoken, this movie looks incredibly stupid. The only complaints I see are about how the actors look. It really goes to show you how shallow the Twilight fan base really is. Nevermind the ridiculous story, bad acting, asinine dialog, Edward isn’t panty-wetting hawt. This is movie is gonna flop hard.

Everyone wave goodbye to Summit Entertainment, that’s what you get for financing Never Back Down.

  25. Gravatar

    @Captain Awesome

    LOL.

I feel awkward watching this trailer. Almost embarrassing.

  26. Gravatar

well, this is definetly no Harry Potter. I remember i was only 12 when i saw the first Potter trailer, I was so excited. It was a simpler time, it was a better time.

  27. Gravatar

I’m not really sure what to say about this… Seriously though, could they have made Robert Pattersons forehead look any bigger?? I watched this with a friend and all he could think of it afterward was how big the dudes forehead was lol

  28. Gravatar

i don’t think they can do much about his forehead size.
but your right. haha. i just noticed.

  29. Gravatar

    lol Captain Awesome

This single page turned in to some youtube commenting page it seems, where the hell do these kids come from.

  30. Gravatar

fyi i am not a preeteen and i agree with alyssa and all the twilight fans we rock…

  31. Gravatar

    *long sniff*

    “You brought a snack”

    *I kill self*

Never read the books, and they may or may not be good, but this looks HORRIBLE!

  32. Gravatar

am i the only one who likes that line? (: haha.

  33. Gravatar

This is starting to look like “The Covenant” and that’s not a good thing….

  34. Gravatar

haha, the covenant..bad movie. hot guys..
    :D

  35. Gravatar

this looks awesome! and people need to stop hating i cant wait to see the movie and read the books : )

  36. Gravatar

YOU HAVE THE SAME NAME AS ME!!
    sorry, :)

  37. Gravatar

plenty o haterade to go around you snotty little tarts.
poo on your stupid little crap-fest movie.

  38. Gravatar

For all the fans that are giving us shit for voicing opinions against the film (because it looks like pure, rotten suck), maybe you should take some time to watch quality films that have been released this year, and then try to understand where all the hate is coming from, when a terrible trailer like this one is released. Also, if the trailer looks “SoOoOoOoOooo good.. LikE juST likE the BOok” then there is no chance in hell I will ever be even remotely interested in reading the source material.

  39. Gravatar

actually, if this group of teen vampires were to stumble into the Descent cave, I think it would make an entertaining film. Someone get on this.

  40. Gravatar

I loved the books (grudgingly) so I have to say I’m excited about the movie… Hopefully, since they’re slowly snowballing attention, they’ll try to make the movie worthwhile, for everyone to see and enjoy, not just the readers. I’ve noticed most girls like it because other girls like it, kind of just following suit with people around them. I happen to dislike popular culture (just a habit! ;D) and was surprised that I enjoyed the books so much.

Anyway, slightly apprehensive about the movie. Hope they don’t crush it.

  41. Gravatar

Def improvement over the teaser. I smell a sleeper hit people, lol.

“Dey liez dis no look like books.” says LOLZ cats.

Let’s be honest people the books may rock but Catherine Hardwick is no Chris Nolan and this movie is most def not TDK. But I sense it will do well b/c of its fanbase.

  42. Gravatar

Don’t get me wrong- I love the series-read them countless times. But the acting in this flick looks down right awful. Not only does it look like a cheap made for sci-fi film (as does all the marketing support this) but the acting itself is so forced out the only thing that could help the cast is a really good enema.

I enjoyed the teaser more because then at least-it left a stray strand of hope for redemption on already half-assing pre-production and making overall shit casting choices (though some books need to remain books)

No No- I’m set seeing this in theaters

  43. Gravatar

Okay I am a huge fan of the twilight saga. The books are absolutely brillant! And no I’m not some girly preteen just in case you were wondering. This isn’t the best trailer I’ve seen and I know they’re are plenty more out there that are alot better but until we’ve seen the movie I don’t think we can judge wether it’s going to be a flop or not. Those people who are voicing negative things about the books in general based on the trailers should go read the book before they go around voicing their opinions on something they know abolosutly nothing about.

  44. Gravatar

I’ve read the books, I love the books, but I’m reserving my full opinion on this kind of thing until I see the movie.

  45. Gravatar

I absolutely loved this trailer, I think it’s so much better than the first one. I don’t understand why people who haven’t read the books are trashing it, but if for example you’re not one for vampire romances, then why watch the trailer in the first place? Anyway, that’s my opinion. I’m 15 by the way, pretty much the target audience, maybe a little older than the target, I dunno, but I think the actors/actresses do a fantastic job. They’ve portrayed the characters very well, and I think Kristen brings a little of herself into Bella’s character, so it makes it seem more realistic. And yes, I did just basically say that Kristen comes across as shy and at times an outcast…
I think Rob does a fantastic job as Edward, definitely how I pictured him. However, as much as I absolutely adore this trailer, and everything about the movie in general, I can’t help but occassionaly cringe at some of the script…
I do have high expectations for the movie, but I guess any Twilighter would. Just like any Harry Potter fan would yell at the screen when the plot was messed with…
We don’t have control over these things though, unfortunately…
    But overall, fantastic job.

  46. Gravatar

AAAHHHH! I’m shocked at the negativity. I’ve read the BOOKS! I love them! The aurthor was ok with the changes in the movie that are not in the book. Yes it is junior fiction and an easy read but I am 46. The first 2 books were gifts to me because I read any and all vampire books, mainly romance. All my friends and our teenage daughters are reading and are All going to see it together! The BOOKS not book are what the whole fuss is about. If you don’t read the book(s) you are cheating yourself. It’s comparable to Romeo and Juliette.
To each their own. Everything i’ve seen so far is as I pictured it in the book. Even grown men have read them and are going as well….Probably close to 20 of my friends and I are all seeing it together. CAN’T WAIT!

  47. Gravatar

I’m not a preteen and I absolutly can’t wait. I don’t even KNOW a pre teenwho is reading these books. The youngest peron I know Is a couple of months shy of 16……..

  48. Gravatar

Bad bad bad bad bad. I think in another thread someone touched on why this vampire would spend his time with mid-town teenagers when he could be doing something much better. “I’m 200 years old. You know, I think I’m gonna go back to high school and ask someone to the prom. I have no beating heart, but I have some how fell in love with this incredibly average looking teenage girl. Come fly with me through the trees.”

BTW, Corey Wilson is a complete douche, just for his posting name alone. Get in line for the choke.

  49. Gravatar

I have read all of the books, and cant wait for the movie to come out. I dont believe that it is going to be as good as the book, but that it will still be really good. Oh and by the way, I am 20 years old and in college, and I know many other women who have read the books.

  50. Gravatar

hmm interesting reading some of the posts on here. It’s like a repeat of the same discussions we all had the LAST time the trailer was put on here. Interesting… the non-twilight fans go on the offensive right away, start ripping on the fans, saying the same insults as before (Convent references), etc. Then their are some of the Twilight fans who can’t seem to type with their entire keyboard and seem to think they are text messaging their comments out…

Anyway, trailer is okay. I’m still extremely excited to see the movie - but the way I would be for any of my favorite books being made into movies. I agree movies are usually not as good as the books made from them, but still am excited to see how they choose to tell it.

The acting in the trailer was okay… some parts better than others. So far I haven’t been too impressed with the special effects I’ve seen, but I hope it will all come together in the film. I’ve seen ‘exclusive first look scenes’ else where and the acting was fine when you watch a whole scene put together.

All in all, thought the trailer was okay but still extremely excited to see the movie!

  51. Gravatar

OMGGGGGG IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE READ THE BOOK AND ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING IF UR GONNA JUDGE THE MOVIE U SHOULD PROBABLY judge the book also the book is amazing the movies gonna be amazing!

  52. Gravatar

    @ melissa

    this is funny, you said
“…saying the same insults as before (Convent references), etc.”
your example of insults are covenant references, thats how shitty that movie is.. i know you spelled it wrong, but its still funny.

i think that if i was a teenage girl, and a freaky looking vampire kid wanted my ass, and the sound he made when he attacked, got hurt, and most likely when he takes a big dump all sound like bowser from the mario games, i wouldnt be too excited. especially knowing hes like a really really old guy, but he has a teens body, thats even more weird. its like a pedo story, but in disguise so that it makes money.

If SM wrote a book about a 100 year old vampire, but he was stuck in a toddlers body, and he liked to touch other human toddlers, and he sounded like bowser when he got excited, all of you fangirls would be all over it.

  53. Gravatar

    OMGF!!! IJHTRTHC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Translation: Oh my god fart!!! I’m just here to read the hilarious comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. Gravatar

Sorry I spelled The Covenant wrong. I also mis-spelled some other words when I look back at my post (their vs there, etc)

  55. Gravatar

    @ Big Daddy,

The whole pedophile thing is pretty funny… I never thought of that. I guess the only thin defense I can give it is that Edward died when he was 17, and has been repeating high school in different places for like 70 years. So he’s kind of like an eternal teenager, in both his life style and people that surround him… but you’re right.. he’s over 100 years old and she’s 17, soooo a little wierd.

And yes, The Covenant was HORRID. That’s why I consider it an insult to compare Twilight to that. :-)

Anyway - I hope when the finished movie comes out and all the editing is done and the score put in, the movie will do the story justice. I guess I’m expecting it to compare to the way the Harry Potter novels follow the HP books…

  56. Gravatar

Boo on that girl as Bella. She sounds like a dude.

As much as I like the books, I think I may skip this movie because of the poor casting choices. If I remember correctly, the books described Edward as being “beautiful”, not a drag queen.

  57. Gravatar

i like this batch of twilighters a bit more than the last. these can form their own opinions and see the VERY REAL flaws in this movie

  58. Gravatar

Hmm, at least it looks like we have less people screaming “Read
the books!” I’m glad the comments aren’t nearly as painful to read
    as before, lol.

@Marie - Of course, you can think anything you like of Rob P.’s looks and the make-up job.
However, Edward is described to the readers through Bella’s eyes,
so even though he is good looking you have to remember that she’s built him up because of her obession/love for him. She doesn’t see his flaws and self-loathing, so you have to take the
way she looks at him as almost a half truth.

  59. Gravatar

I have to admit that I love the books, which really surprised me because I normally go for the classics. Watching the trailer, I agree with a lot of you. It looks bad, however I’ll still see the movie because I am insatiably curious. Now most of you keep saying to the CAPS lock obsessed that they need to see good movies. I somewhat agree, but everyone needs to have the stage where they like the horrible movies. Now, I am kind of doubtful about the movie because I don’t really like movie interpretations of books, because let’s face it, no one recreate the magic of the words used to make books. I can only hope that some non-readers will see the movie and it will inspire them to pick up the books and perhaps begin to read. And sorry if this comment offends anyone, but if you haven’t read the books please don’t pass judgement on them because the complexity of the characters and their feelings cannot be fully captured on film or in an approximately one minute long trailer (which I’m still disappointed with). This is probably the longest post in history, sorry…

  60. Gravatar

I agree with darc. But I’d like to pretend this second teaser trailer never happened. Especially as a “teaser.” Here, it feels like a made-for TV movie. It’s trying too hard to reach out to a male audience. The “running” through the forest seems just…wrong. But I’m glad I saw the first teaser trailer prior to this one. Still looking forward to the film, but only because I’m excited to see how these characters come to life. And yes, the fan base is _huge_. Just be prepared for the screaming 14-year-olds, Sciretta.

  61. Gravatar

I really dont see why we all have to bash each other about this and pick sides.
I love Twilight. However I also love Fight Club and There Will Be Blood. (Oooooh blasphemy =O )
So why do we need to rip on other peoples interests? I’m sure if the roles were reversed here the haters would be defending their movie with grandiose speeches too.
I’m fairly certain that reading comments on SlashFilm wont sway a potential Twilight movie-goer one way or the other, so let’s all just chill out.

I mean, come on, there has to be someone somewhere (way waaaay out there) who enjoyed The Covenant? Right?

  62. Gravatar

Yeah, enjoyed The Covenant for the eye candy! lol =X

  63. Gravatar

    @ hjchta (abbreviated for time)

i have said it before, i defended cloverfield like a twilighter. i had many enemies, but luckily it was balanced out. know that i am over cloverfield, i can see that it did have its flaws, and without a sequel, it will be forgotten very quickly…. to give you a reason, its great fun to bash each others interests.

  64. Gravatar

    *sigh*

I am a huge Twilight fan. Don’t ask me why. I’m an avid reader, I can tell good books from bad. And Twilight…should not be as popular as it is. But it’s like, addicting, like heroin (hehe, pun, haha). It’s so cheesy, but I still love it. It was Stephenie’s first book, so I forgive her! But her writing is still the same 3 books later. :/

Anywho, I want to be a movie director once I get out of school, and am SOOOOO critical of movies and movie trailers, etc, etc. And this trailer…sucks. It only really makes sense to the people who have read the book. And the cinematography, like someone else said, is really bad. The camera movements are shaky and it’s like everyone is sick, because of their voices. Meh. I think Robert and Kristen are good actors/actresses…expression wise. But they have robotic-like voices. I wish Rob had just done it in his British accent, XD. Instead, he sounds all raspy! What happened to his “velvety” voice that Edward is supposed to have!? Not to mention that whoever put this trailer together obviously does not know how to add music for better suspense. *sighes* I don’t know how the movie is going to be, but I think my expectations were a little high when I saw some of the set pictures. I don’t care if the movie follows the book plotline if the movie sucks. (I am so going to remake this movie)

But I do love Twilight and make t-shirts for it (that’s what my site is for :D).

    /rant LOL

  65. Gravatar

I think the movie is going to be great. Its just a teaser trailer. Wait until the real trailer comes out when it comes out near December all of you that think the movie is going to suck will be eating your words. The casting is amazing and the series are amazing. The movie is going to be amazing as well.

  66. Gravatar

I don’t know what people are complaining about. I think the trailer was excellent, and I think the movie should be interesting. I don’t know if the film will do the books justice, but the movies often aren’t as good as the books (eg. Harry Potter, The Golden Compass). I think Rob is perfect as Edward, definitely. And Kristen is lovely as Bella. I’ve heard so many people complain about Kristen’s acting in the movie… I’ve seen her in a lot of other movies, and I think she’s fantastic; shows emotion and everything. And it’s a trailer… She has like 6 lines in it. That’s not enough lines, in my opinion, to make judgement on her acting…

  67. Gravatar

**to make POOR judgement on her acting.

  68. Gravatar

OMG ITS LIL WAYNE! hes in everything nowadays including vampire love stories

  69. Gravatar

    Problems with Twilight:
    1. The makers of the movie did not anticipate this kind of fan following, never intended to make a ‘blockbuster’, and didn’t anticipate that people would be watching the production of this film so closely. They are doing a pretty good job, adjusting though. The movie only has so much of a budget, though.
    2. Rabid fangirls AND haters. The fangirls think that Twilight is ‘theirs’ that Edward is ‘theirs’. Some of them also think that Bella is them…and Haters, well they suck too.

I think this second trailer is great, the material is getting better and better, and that this movie is actually going to better than the book.

  70. Gravatar

ps…it look ok…until i saw them flying threw the air with wires…that ruined it for me. oh and to stephanie, with your enthusiasm i cant wait to see your movies!

  71. Gravatar

i love the books and robert pattinson dearly but to be honest, i’m a little worried. i just want them to make a good movie but we all no that nothing can hold a candle to the books. it looks pretty good but i just don’t know.

  72. Gravatar

Okay, I watched it again. Still don’t really know what to say about it that hasn’t already been said by others. This time though it wasn’t Edward’s giant forehead that stood out, but rather the horrible looking hair and make up. I’m sorry… it all just looks so cheesy, especially the one scene with the vampires coming out of the woods looking all “oh yeah baby” with the smoke coming up behind them. That just makes me get twitchy and go “eewwww”.

  73. Gravatar

Guys the book rocks the movie looks great!! why are you all being mean!!? I am a guy and I love it!! x]

  74. Gravatar

I was a little weary of this, but after watching it I am definitely going to see the movie. I don’t know what all of the people leaving negative feedback are thinking! The only other movie trailer that I have seen that got me even remotely excited about a movie is the Dark Knight trailer. Look like I actually have a movie to look forward too and I might even give the books a try.

  75. Gravatar

Ok first of all most of you are being rude if you dont like the trailer dont voice your opinions nobody wants to hear your negative commets i dont care what any of you say but there are millions of fans of all ages anxiously awaiting this movie so dont try to ruin it your just jellous of robert hes good looking and your not get over it and by the way bella is supposed to be whiney thats her character and i dont believe she slays vampires so its not buffy she can barley walk so if you havent even read the book and none of you have seen the movie because it obviously hasnt even came out keep ur trashy mouth shut please! twilight rocks and the whole cast is gorgeous and dont try to ruin something that is loved by millions

  76. Gravatar

By the way…….those of you critiquing Robert what the heik i know you aint no Edward i bet you dont even look as close as good as Rob/Edward so i only want to hear your thoughts if you think you look like Edward Cullen which is inpossible.

  77. Gravatar

Okay, listen. I’m a Twilight fan. I am articulate (as some haters have claimed Twilight fans are NOT). I am excited for the movie. Why? Because I would be very happy to see Summit or anyone’s take on one of my favourite books. I understand completely if it’s not your genre or whatever you wish to call it, but please have some respect for us who are really looking forward to it. Which means, seriously, calling us–what was it? Oh, yes, a bunch of “preteen girls with broken caps lock keys who double post”. Last I checked, we were supposed to at least not call names. Please, people. I’m a teenager and I’m excited for the movie. Shoot me (or strangle me, as Captain Awesome is bound to say). Forgive me if I have different tastes than you.

I can’t wait for the movie.

  78. Gravatar

heather needs to be in the front of captain awesomes line.

so heather, you are only interested in the opinions of a good looking person, regardless of intelligence? and you don’t know what a sentence is? just wanted to make sure i understood that.

    @twilightfan
heather is why you are bein stereotyped, dont blame us for generalizing when almost all we get are heathers on here to defend this pile of shit.

  79. Gravatar

Yikes. I’m a Twilight fan, and I respect people and their individual opinions but… I can’t believe how hardcore defensive some of these fans can get.

    -eye twitch-

  80. Gravatar

I am a Twilight Fan and this movie looks pretty good. Second trailer is far better than the first and let me just say…these comments are very entertaining.

“Please, please, this is supposed to be a happy occasion! Lets not bicker and argue”

Nah…go ahead and argue away :D

  81. Gravatar

not interesting.. looks like crap potatoes

  82. Gravatar

Im not a fan of Twilight but… I’m starting to find Big Daddy very retarded after reading all of his comments. Get a life man! But first keep posting, because you’re amusing me.

  83. Gravatar

Most of the negative comments have been from people who haven’t even read the books! If you haven’t read them, then don’t bother commenting and being so rude.
I think the movie is going to be great! This is so much better than the teaser. I am so excited!

Well.. This is extremely exciting! I understand that there will always be a split between the people who are interested & those who aren’t… I’m one of those who is very interested. I’ve read all the books in the past week & found myself addicted & anxious for the physical visuals that the movie offers. Those of you who aren’t interested… you’re not interested because you don’t have anything in your life that would relate to the book. that’s how it works w/most literature. unless you feel the connection w/it you won’t be interested & that’s expected… stephenie meyer didn’t write the book for you… she wrote for herself & she related to it. personally i can relate to most of what happens in the series (though the 4th book isn’t out yet)- minus the vampires & werewolves… but don’t we all have some things like that in our lives… but as always, the books are better than the movies & are more in depth… & majority of movies are from books… so, go figure!

    To big daddy:

I can see why you generalise Twilight fans like that. It irritates me to no end, even though I’m a massive fan of the book, when people can’t see the flaws. Whether it’s with the characters or cinematography, people need to open their eyes. But I think you should open your eyes a little wider, and see outside the box. There are forty year old mothers and sixty year old grandmothers probably looking forward to this film. I know there’s a scarcity of us, but there are the fans who can type a sentence without Caps Lock, and who can critisize the movie, no matter how much we love the book series and actors/actresses portraying the characters.
So even though this message probably won’t change your opinion, I wanted to point out that not all fan-girls are bimbos, and that not all fan-girls are over-emotional pre-teens.

  86. Gravatar

I also agree 100% with Lori. Most people aren’t interested because they have nothing connecting them to the series. If you were to just pick the books up, and take time to read them, you might find yourself enjoying and relating to the story. I know that sounds ridiculous considering it involves vampries and werewolves, but whenever Bella described how she felt, I could relate to her, because I’ve probably felt most of the emotions she has throughout the book. Maybe even been in one or two situations she’s been in. So I don’t think non-Twilighters should really have a reason to have high hopes for the movie, you have nothing to relate it back to…

  87. Gravatar

Wow! Great trailer, I think this movie will be awesome! :)

  88. Gravatar

To Big Daddy, Just shut the F up and if you think this movie sucks so bad then why are you going out of your way to fight with the twilight fans. You are a loser and i also agree that you need to get a life and leave us twi hards alone.

  89. Gravatar

By the way its very rude to call someone ugly for no reason like youre the most beautiful person in the world so no its not being stereotyped its just why make fun of someone nobody calls ur ass ugly and makes fun of everything wrong on your face so stop messin with him he got casted as Edward he his Edward whether anyone likes it or not.

  90. Gravatar

OMG i agree with vanessa and alyssa… if u didn’t read the books then don’t keep making bad judgements. just because the trailer might not look that good to you doesn’t mean the WHOLE movie is going to be bad.. and i said read the books and then make judgements! maybe you will like the other ones in the series.
    SO DON’T KEEP HATING!

  91. Gravatar

Whoa, whoa, whoa….@Heather and all others freaking out over
the people who are criticizing the trailer they’re entitled, so maybe
YOU all should leave them ALONE. Good grief. This is a movie site
and all movie news is offered up for comments, some will be positive and some will be negative. You cannot be over sensitive if
someone doesn’t agree with your opinion. Yes, we who have
read the books can view the trailer and see the positives, but we’re
too close to the material. It is harder to be objective, but maybe
you should try. If you think this trailer rocks then great! Say it and
move on, but don’t tell people who aren’t interested that they need to shut up and need to read the books. They don’t have to do either. Not everyone has to love Twilight.

btw - by chastising big daddy you’re only egging him on and proving
his point further. He’s perfectly capable of an intelligent conversation and debate if you’d stop shouting and name calling for
    a moment.

  92. Gravatar

I still remember when I watched HP1 trailer,I was freaked with my brother who is older than me.When we actually do watch the show,I enjoyed it but my brother slept through the entire movie!I drag him to watch the second movie of HP telling the trailer looks promising, that time around,I slept through half of the movie and he bail out during the first 20 minutes. But we got to the third. We watched the trailer the day before and decided lets forget this one but we didn’t and the movie was the coolest thing ever! The Twilight teasers I thought were tracing attention as there are responses. The haters responded to see what the lovers do.The lovers responded to protect the sacred Twilight. They are merely fighting on the movie which was basically an attention towards the movie to much more audience outside the lovers and haters.I love the twilight teaser because it was not bad nor it was the best.My view is we just have to wait and see. I am damn sure the lovers+haters would watch the movie.

  93. Gravatar

Also also also! Do have it in mind that it is only a teaser. And for those who didn’t like the teaser, fine, stop being teased by watching it. Haha. Anyway, people also said about low budget and awful movies together. I disagree. I have seen big budget movies with awful movies. (*ahemHP5ahem*) I also remember Star Wars as a low budget movie at first but look who was turning around? Haha. My point is that for the first movies of books, set out a less amount of moneys but full effort of making them. I see now is less money and full effort. Sounds good neh? The second one would blemish a rather bigger budget and bigger effort!

  94. Gravatar

I’m a huge fan of the books in this series. But this trailer is absolutely horrid. I was looking forward to the movie until I saw this. This could turn out very bad.

  95. Gravatar

Haha, this is pretty funny. I think all of you need to stop freaking out about this movie and just wait until it actually comes out. I just wasted about twenty minutes reading these comments, and I have to say I’m pretty amused.

Get over yourselves and stop arguing, because I’m sure this movie is going to be better than anything any of you could create.

  96. Gravatar

I am excited about this movie (more excited about the fourth
book coming out), but only because it’s about Twilight. I will
agree with some people that it looks…good. Not GREAT. But I
am going to see the movie.

    Is anybody’s computer screen twitching?

    Breaking Dawn is COMING! =D

  97. Gravatar

OMG, I would also like to add that I am still going to watch the movie. Hehe. Not to seem all annoyed by the trailer. Can’t judge a movie by it’s trailer (well, usually I can, but I’ve been wrong before).

Hmm, how interesting would it be if there was an actual war between the Twilighters and haters? There’d probably be a equally divided amount of intelligent Twilighters and rabid fangirls. And the haters might win an intelligent debate. But those rabid fangirls are so hardcore, they would kick your asses so bad!

  98. Gravatar

    To: Meli
Whatever im just stating my opinions unlike anyone else give me a break i dont like rude or confrontive people it just irritates me i love the books and the movie looks great im just defending something i love……im out

  99. Gravatar

    @Heather

    DO NOT

  100. Gravatar

…sorry, hit enter on accident. DO NOT attack Meli. She is an amassing individual who is trying to express her opinions in a sane and compassionate manner. You could take a lesson from her. She is defending a series that she loves, but admits that there are faults that those of us see because we are not as attached it it as you.

The majority of us do not give one rats ass about the book, we only care about the movie. That’s because this is a movie blog, end of story. Don’t bring books into this shit. Source material means nothing to us, only the movie. Can you debate intelligently about the trailer? Cause I would LOVE that. Please, tell me in detail why you think the trailer is good. What was your favourite part? What makes it stand out to you? I’d love to hear your opinion on it.

  101. Gravatar

hehehe… this is pretty amusing. I dont want to get caught up in this sort of war between the twilight lovers and the haters, but i do have an opinion and it just seems wrong if i didn’t say it. If you like this trailer then its ok to put down your opinion. If you don’t like it, it’s ok to put your opinion here as well. But, i think those who put negative feedback on the trailer should do so more respectfully because it is quite rude and harsh to trash other people’s hard work. That goes for the twilight lovers as well, you all should also be more respectful no matter what the feedback. I, for one, am a twilight fanatic, but I don’t see the point in being rude just to prove a point. I thought the books were amazing and am excited to see the movie, but I’m not going to force anyone into reading the book or force my opinion on them. I would recommend the book though if you like romantic adventure fantasy. I hope you can all understand what I’m saying and comment less harshly. But, i do find it very entertaining, yet sometimes it can be annoying. Anyways, just take this into consideration please.

  102. Gravatar

I love this trailer and I can’t wait for the movie.
P.s For those who hate TWILIGHT, WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THE TRAILER ? WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR PRECIOUS TIME WRITING POST. It’s quiet amusing that you actually have time to press play and then write comment when you don’t like it.. Hmn maybe deep down you do enjoy the clips and by writing negative comment is to wash away the guilt lol.. I bet the negative people will be the first one to check it out the movie in theater DEC 12..LOL..
    MUAHYH

  103. Gravatar

I am very excited about this movie! Although it will never measure up to the books because what drew me to the books was SM’s awesome way of producing that exact feeling of being in highschool. Also, I want to add that I’m also not a preteen girl- i’m 23.
Also, im very worried about the girl who plays bella… she doesn’t seem to be able to act… horrifying. (Although she was ok in panic room)

  104. Gravatar

    I agree with Amber.

  105. Gravatar

Im SO excited to see this movie and im not a preteen either. I read the books and they are surprisingly good! Im not sure about the girl that plays Bella though, I dont think she’ll give the part justice! But im def. gonna go see it!

  106. Gravatar

you guys all suck for thinking that this movie is gonna be stupid.
i have read all three books and i am totally in love with it!
I’ll be sitting outside the theater the day it comes out JUST to see this!
    It’s gonna ROCK!!

Bella and Edward and the rest of the crew all have my support!!

  107. Gravatar

I loved the books but this is a MOVIE BLOG (sorry about the caps lock, but I thought it was necessary). If one more person says “don’t hate if you didn’t read the books” I will actually do Captain Awesome a favor and be the one to choke her. The movie needs to stand on its own and I don’t know if it will be able to do that.

This teaser wasn’t too abominable, but I really wish they would have let Robert keep his accent…he sounds very wrong without it. I can’t even pay attention to what he’s saying because his akward tone is so distconcerting.

Also, I was originally happy with Kristen Stewart as Bella, but she sounded ridiculous and fake when she proclaims “I’m only afraid of losing you.” Almost as if she, too, was unaccustomed to using an American accent. Maybe I’m mistaken but wasn’t she a decent actress in all the other movies she was in?

    Anyone??

  108. Gravatar

Dude, Everyone says that this movie is gonna suck. But I beg to differ. This movie looks amazing and everytime I watch the trailers I get the chills. The books are the most amazing books in the world. All my friends that have read them say they are great. Nothing can come close to these books. Stephenie Meyer is like the best writter in the world. I mean seariously Edward dazzles people. I know I’m dazzled!

  109. Gravatar

i have a feeling that this movie wont turn out too great.
the books were amazing but i’m hoping the movie will be just as good but i doubt it.

  110. Gravatar

I’ve read the books several times, and I must say, for someone like me who doesn’t read very many books, and absolutely love the Twilight series! I felt the trailer was overall pretty good. Yes, there were some corny lines, but i felt the acting was overall well. The girl playing Bella is doing a great job, and Edward is pretty good too. I’m most definitely seeing the movie, even if it is corny all the way through. Honestly, a lot of movies are corny now-a-days (in my humble opinion). There are tons of negative comments from people, but they’re from the ones who haven’t even read the flipping books. So fans, don’t be offended by what they say.

    Anyways, can’t wait!!

  111. Gravatar

hurm… What I think is that Catherine Hardwicke is totally teasing us with this. I mean there might be some takes inside this trailer that will not be used in the movie. Look at the first trailer, they used different takes for the scene in Edward’s bedroom, better ones which was in the Penelope DVD. IDK I think this is definitely a teaser to make us more anxious not in the good way but then when the movie came it sorta gave you a BANG! I;m watching the movie anyways.

  112. Gravatar

Anyway if you say this is cheesy, you are blind. There are totally much more cheesy movie, more cheesable than ever out there. *ahemHSMahem* (No offense, I just don’t adore them)

  113. Gravatar

@duca - Thanks for the back up. :) I took the weekend off from reading through e-mail. LoL

@Heather -I have one thing to say/suggestion to you. Please learn sentence structure because I can barely comprehend what you’re saying. Maybe if you took some time to express yourself in a more intelligent way you wouldn’t be singled out.

@Tal - I think Kristen Stewart is a decent actress from the couple of
movies I’ve seen in her, but I think she sometimes looks like she
is “acting” and needs to relax and become her character more. She’s still young and growing. I think she looks good as Bella, but my main concern is them over playing the awkwardness.

  114. Gravatar

    @ Tom

i am a bit interested in why you think i am retarded, just curious. i have seen some pretty stupid posts on here, and the fact that i have been singled out as the retard seems a tad bit off. i may be wrong though.

    @jerry butler

if you are reading this, i have become the jerry butler to twilight, that you were to cloverfield. those were the days. i can see why you did it, it is very amusing

  115. Gravatar

I am a huge Twilight Fan! I am 22 so I am not one of the pre-teen crazy girls. Almost all of the people that I work with have read the book and are completely addicted to it, and they are all older than I am.(Even some men are included in that) I work at a University, and I know many college professors who have read it and completely loved it as well. So, I wouldn’t throw that pre-teen stereotype out there quiet so much. As for the movie, I am not sure how I feel about it yet. There is not any flying or whatever the hell they are doing in the books, which really just irks me to no end. I am sure it won’t be as good as the books, but I will go see it just out of curiosity. I must say, don’t pass judgment on the books just because of the movie trailer, because they are really very good. I would suggest reading them. The story really does make sense when you are reading it, but I can see how it looks a bit idiotic and pointless from the trailer. All I can say is, the book will be better and more than likely make more sense than the movie. So to best understand it, read the book and don’t take the movie to heart… I guess we will see how the movie is come December…

  116. Gravatar

Oh my god, i can’t believe this shit. Where did all these freaks come from? It’s like the hell itself puked them out.

To get things right: This is a blog about movies. We are talking about movies, trailer, and everything else connected to the medium, like every Movie-Blog usually does.

This is not a Twilight blog. People who never read the book maybe interested in the Movie. That’s why the watch the trailer, If the trailer looks like pure shit, they have every right to write it down here. It’s about the movie or the trailer, not the Book. We Not-Book-Readers didn’t read the fucking book and your behavior does not help, it makes it worse. I’m beginnin’ to dislike not just the trailer, but the books! If the books spawns people like you in this world then it can not be good. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You do not have the right to fucking tell other people that they should read the goddamn book because it’s so awesome and they wouldn’t understand jack-shit. This is a movie. A movie should work on it’s own. I for myself do not want to read a book every time before watching a movie. Movies should always work on their own.

Now to the trailer. A trailer should show the strongest and most interesting stuff the movie has to offer, but if that’s it … it’s embarrassing. The acting is a freaking joke. If it would be a TV-Movie or something then i would say: Okay. But if this hits the theaters, Uwe Boll sure gets competition.

  117. Gravatar

Okay, so. I literally am right in the middle of this debate. For me, most of the acting is bad, I’m not a fan of some of the dialogue. So, pretty much, I can understand what every hater here has said. And yet, I can also understand the Twilight fans. It makes sense, then, that pretty much everyone here is annoying me?
YoungZe, hi, you’re rude. You can get your points across without the meaningless cussing. Seriously. The things you are saying make sense. Obviously you don’t have to read the books to watch the trailer. [Please take note of that, Twilight fans]. But yeah, you’re right, some of the acting is bad. But it’s not all bad, personally I love James, and if it didn’t say his name in the trailer, and you haven’t read the books, he’s the bad vamp with the pony tail. With the infamous, “You brought a snack,” line that everyone hates but me. No offense, okay?
Sorry, YoungZe, for the long rant.
Remember that I agreed with most of what you said.
I really think that the person who plays Bella is not a good actress, and Edward isn’t very good either. I still love James. <3 I’m repeating myself, so I’m just gonna go.
    BYE TWILIGHT-FANS AND NOT-TWILIGHT FANS :D

  118. Gravatar

I know i have been rude, but so are the fans, i feel attacked, i attack. Personally i think the girl is a pretty bad actor. The things she said … urgh. Kinda unreal when she speaks.

  119. Gravatar

Hahahaa, yeah, she’s definitely not the best casting choice.
    BUT I STILL LOVE JAMES<3

  120. Gravatar

_I have read all the books and i think they are amazing, but this trailer makes the movie seem like it’s not going to be nearly as good as the books. Sorry, I mean I am a huge fan, but I’m just being honest…_

  121. Gravatar

Honestly, guys, if you don’t like the look of the movie, that’s fine. To each their own. But enough with the bashing! Not all Twihards or fanpires or whatever we are (XD) are tween girls, and I’m seriously annoyed that you’re all high and mighty about how much more mature and intelligent and discerning you all are if you feel the need to demonstrate this by vocally (well, you know what I mean) insulting the movie and the fan base.

If you don’t like it, then why go through all the effort of sitting in front of your screens and bashing it? Use all that determination and energy to go outside and give someone a flower.

  122. Gravatar

oh, and I completely echo every sentiment uttered by Morgan.

    Including the James love.

    mmm :]

  123. Gravatar

Oh, bashing a bad looking movie is no effort, and why don’t you use your energy and go outside and give someone a flower? =)

  124. Gravatar

    To:YoungZe

This whole comment that you made “Oh my god, i can’t believe this shit. Where did all these freaks come from? It’s like the hell itself puked them out…..”

Was that aimed toward me…? No need to be so hostile even if it wasn’t said to me… geez go take some Prozac and calm yourself.

I wasn’t telling you to go read the books, just, making a suggestion. I agree the movie doesn’t look that great. Kristin Stewart does not seem like a good actress to me either. I was just saying the books are way better and actually really good. It is a good read. I really do think you should perhaps check into some anger management though. That can’t be healthy.

  125. Gravatar

No CrazyCat, i didn’t meant you, if you read nearly every single fan comment you will see that not only most of them are insulting but tell other people to read the book.

  126. Gravatar

Yes, they are a bit nutters. Perhaps they need some Prozac too… thats what happens when people can’t accept other people’s views. The best thing to do is to just ignore them… though it is quiet entertaining…

It just goes to show that there are many immature people out there…

  127. Gravatar

I’m not gonna lie, i freaking love these books.. but the movie looks pretty poorly done and pretty poorly cast… and yet.. i can’t wait to see it.

  128. Gravatar

    yay elle!!
    go james!

  129. Gravatar

i still cant wait. read the books for all the non twilight haterz and you will see our point of veiw so no one will attack anyone else….i still think the cast is great and cant wait…i mean the way s.m the author described edward would be hard to find n the real world so robert so far is good to fill for edward, kristen is fine to. speaking from the trailer.. we’ll have to se the movie if they do better……the cast still has my love and support…

  130. Gravatar

What did i say? Hmm, forget it … stupid kids all over /film.

  131. Gravatar

can all the twilight book fans just shut the fuck up and go away?
    acually i wasn’t asking,
    i’m demanding.

  132. Gravatar

batgirl all the fans are gonna look at the trailier so that’s a stupid thing to ask…since u hate u leavelol that’s kinda funny

  133. Gravatar

@BATGIRL: wow. have you nothing to contribute to the conversation that actually pertains to the movie? hmmm..I think YOU should shut the fuck up and go away. At least the people who have read the book have an educated opinion on the subject. Makes sense that THEY should be commenting on this page…YOU?: not so much…

  134. Gravatar

see all the people dissing people saying the book and trailers are gay, stupid, funny a’ll should leave cause us fan ppl love this trailier and dont need your negitivity… if you hate it so much just leave and let us admire this beautiful creation from the author and director.. and for all the ppl who are dissing others are kinda stupid were saying our opions and you dissing us go away

    TWILIGHT ROCKS….
if you have nothing good to say then GO the Freak away

  135. Gravatar

i agree with tina .GO AWAY

  136. Gravatar

i’ve read the books and i really liked them however i am afraid for this movie. i watched an interview with the director and she admitted to taking liberties with the plot. i am a person who is really adamant about staying true to the book so i am definitely not excited for this movie. i’ll probably wait to see it when it comes out on dvd…not to mention, i can’t get the image of robert (the actor playing edward) with pink cheecks, like blush, in harry potter four….i just find him so gay. i think the casting for this movie is a bust. and for all those people who are pissed off about people who have negative things to say, just shut up. people have the right to say whatever they feel.

  137. Gravatar

Too bad it has nothing to do with buffy the vampire slayer. And the smart thing to do if you’re going to criticize something? know something about it so you don’t sound stupid =)

  138. Gravatar

My PERSONAL OPINION, I am a big fan of the books. Stephenie Meyers writting is evocative and heartfelt. As for the film, I feel confident that its director and producers will make the choices that best fit the MOVIE. Why must we be so critical of others work when we are so obviously not there witnessing their labors?

  139. Gravatar

    Wow….

You people just go on and on and on!

So i have read the series twice now and it just gets better and better…

To those of you who have not READ the book and keep commenting about any of the lines said in the trailer: Most of those lines are taken FROM THE BOOK! Except the s
