NSFW: Choke Red Band Movie Trailer

I definitely did not touch your woo-woo. Fox Searchlight has released a new trailer for Clark Gregg’s adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, and it’s Red Band! That’s right, completely uncensored, vulgar, nudity, overall - totally Not Safe For Work. That said, this is a much funnier, more accurate representation of the actual film than the previous trailer. I know some of you might be weary of jumping in head first due to the film’s look which screams loudly “low budget”, but trust me, this is a must see for anyone who loved Fight Club. And yes, that is a quote from /Film’s own Mel Valentin (it also appeared in the previous green band trailer, which even got some run time on the big screen).

Check out the restricted trailer on the film’s official website ChokeOnThis.net.

Official Plot Synopsis: Actor-turned-director Clark Gregg shows he is as adept behind the camera as he is in front of it with CHOKE, a wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of Colonial theme parks. Victor Mancini (Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by working days as a historical reenactor at a Colonial Williamsburg theme park. At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who “save” him. When, in a rare lucid movement, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father’s identity, Victor enlists the aid of his best friend, Denny (Henke) and his mother’s beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall (Macdonald), to solve the mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever.

Choke hits theaters on September 26th 2008.

Awesome, after seeing the Red Band trailer I'm definitely going to go see this.
  • Chimaera
I could just be the late hour but I found that pretty hilarious. I'll have to watch it again when I wake up to see if it is still funny but right now I think it's pretty genius ;)
  • Reggie
The voiceover stuff definitely reminds me of Fight Club. Sam Rockwell is the man, I need to see this.

    @ peter

which is better, this or the wackness? i think both are gonna be amazing, but i'm a palahniuk die-hard, and this looks really faithful.
  • Captain Awesome
    hahahahaha

Oh man, the sound effect for the anal beads. And when he hits the chick on the head...This looks like it's going to be as fucked up as the book.
  • Andrew
I didn't think the filmmakers would have the balls to make it like the book. This looks depraved as shit. I'm so there.
  • Andrew
BTW, I totally just watched this at work.
  • Haha this looks as tame as a Disney movie you can show this too your kids and they will not turn out warped tour at all and no dog will put it in you ass.
  • Bill
i was afraid they would omit they rape and anal bead scenes. now that i know they're in, im definitely seeing this.
  • evan
It's great to have tits back in the movies.
  • Captain Awesome
    evan,

No shit. And "real" ones too.
  • Sean
Hm, not my kind of thing.
  • Choke is my favourite book so i had my reservations, but after seeing they kept the anal beads in it, I'm really looking forward to it (hmm that sounds kinda creepy).

Just hope it doesn't take too long to come out here in Australia.
  • jonny
I can't wait any longer.. I want to see this film now.
  • This trailer convinced me. I'm there opening night.

    "Andrew Says:

Start looking for a new job......
  • Bob?
They should'nt even make green band trailers for movies like this; it'll mislead a whole lot of people who don't nat to see this. looks great to me though!
  • Joe
I was on the fence with the original trailer.

I'm now there Day One. Looks to be an epic adaptation of the novel.
  • Matt
    hahahahahahahahahahahaha
  • Jason
Great trailer. I'll be seeing this.
  • igroveman
looks morally disgusting and like I will stay away from it for the rest of my life. ask yourself why.
  • Steelo
    dang.
  • Liz
First trailer was questionable. I'm all over this one. Loving it, loving it, loving it. Denny is Chuck's favorite character and mine too, and it looks like they got him just right. Despite the compulsive masturbation, he's irresistibly lovable.
  • edc
I was thinking of seeing this after the first trailer.
    now? forget it.

  • Captain Awesome
    igroveman,

    Ask myself what exactly?
  • Whiskey
    Brilliant!
  • In the end it seems that the only way for a remake or sequel to be "better " than the original is if they pick movies for remakes that the first film was just plain terrible
  • IHATEDANECOOK
hmm what is that dane cook movie this is a rip off from...but i am still going to watch it.;)
  • James Doe
I dunno dude, looks kinda tacky to me.

Dead /film writers: please write 'NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK' in a larger font. That would be great. Thanks.
  • Caitlin
    Holy shit YES.
The first trailer looked awful. Now I'm actually excited about this.
  • joanathan
probably not gonna be as good as the book, but i wanna see it anyway
  • bob
looks nasty and immature. "great to have tits back in movies" who ever said that has been under a ROCK. Tits never left the movies. They are in 90% of R rated films. Tits are usually why they have an R rating. Naked women are constantly in films and it has gotten more and more over the top each year passing. Kinda bores me with how over done topless women are in movies. I guess I grew up...
  • tom
looks lame. Just another movie for adolescent males who cant get any. I'll pass
