As a film major in college right now its stories like this that motivate me to keep working hard.
  • Definitely worth the watch. But I have to say, not seeking out Ralph Macchio himself is unforgivable. Also, this film does show how removed from reality the protagonist is when faced with a fight, he is surprise that his more basic instinct takes over and he forgets everything he's learned. It just highlights what I knew all the way back in 1984, any martial art that relies heavily on katas and earning belts rarely, if ever, survive first contact in a fight situation.
  • Wow... I guess every film has it's geeks.
  • PLEASE TELL ME WHAT EQUIPMENT / EDITING SOFTWARE (FINAL CUT?) HE USED TO MAKE THIS . THANKS

    Hey,

Thanks for watching the doc. Here's some responses...

"As a film major in college right now its stories like this that motivate me to keep working hard."

Yeah, just go out there and get it done. This film was made with borrowed equipment and the favors of friends. Good luck with your projects!

"not seeking out Ralph Macchio himself is unforgivable"
I tried to get him. It didn't work out, but I was okay with that. To me, the doc is more about the effect the film had on fans, rather than a "making of" doc. Of course I would have loved to to hear the stories Macchio must know about the impact this film has had.

"Wow… I guess every film has it’s geeks." lol

"PLEASE TELL ME WHAT EQUIPMENT / EDITING SOFTWARE " Canon Xl1 camera with Wide lens for most of it. Edited on Axid Xpress DV.

    Thanks again for watching.
