The August 2008 issue of Empire Magazine features a new image of a bloodied Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The new issue previews 45 Movies You Need To Know About Right Now, which is basically a fall movie preview.

    Huh, that's a bit odd... he looks younger...
  • The 6th Harry Potter book was definitely the worst book. But David Yates is back. So I am prepared to be dazzled!
  • TheDaftPunk
    I'm disappointed to see David Yates return. Order of the Phoenix was my favorite book, but the movie was lacking on many levels. I would have liked to see Alfonso Cuarón or Mike Newell come back instead, but I hope Yates can redeem himself.

    I might actually have to see this one. I always meant to see the Goblet of Fire but I didn't... So that's where my Harry Potter knowledge stops. Beat up Harry though... hmmm... I must weigh my options.
  • Chimaera
    Ahahahaha. Notice how Twilight wasn't listed on the cover :P

    I actually liked The Goblet of Fire best from the movies that have come out but that could just be me...I forgot I was excited for this movie to come out seeing how everything revolves around TDK these days :)

    Only reason I'm goin to see this shit is because an Imax is opening in my area in November.
  • Meli
    I want a trailer damn it!!! I know it's not opening till Nov, but I'm sick of only seeing a handful of pictures.

    @duca - I recommend checking out Golbet of Fire, it's one of my
    favorites though so far Azkaban still reminds on top.

    @Chimera - ahahahaha. Are you trying to start something?? =P

    I'm still bummed Yates will be ending the series as director.
    Cuaron and Newell made much better movies. Order of
    the Phoenix has good moments, but I still feel it was lacking
    on the storytelling level.

    @Meli

    I really did like the vibe of the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm a big fan of dark, creepy fantasy and the way it was filmed was very nice to my senses. What I don't like about the Harry Potter franchise is that the director keeps changing. It makes the series feel... disjointed I guess. Just stick with one darn it! Or at least two or whatever, but how many are there now? 3? 4? bah, too many.

    @Chimera

    It's because Empire pwnz XD
  • Meli
    @duca - I do have agree about the way the feel of the movies change so much because of different directors, but I think it would be hard to keep one director for seven movies, now eight.
    I think Chris Columbus, while not a favorite of mine, was good for the first two Potter flicks because they're all young and the story isn't terribly dark. Cuaron for the 3rd was a perfect choice because that is when the story shifts to a darker tone. The story only continues to get darker and Newell did good with Goblet, but Yates was a lacking with Phoenix. The fact that he's still on board worries me because he doesn't seem to be the right choice for creating the dark mood as well as the previous directors did. I can only hope he will surprise me.
    One of the reasons I really have ejoyed the Potter series is because
    the stories are dark and they make you feel like no one is safe. I
    can only hope the remaning films will protray that feeling as well.

    I really dislike Newell, Cauron, and Yates...especially Yates and Cauron. WB should be getting Chris Columbus back. He was the only director who's movies were true to their novel counterparts, but of course we're stuck with Yates for the next 3 films. I'll still see it. I'm a sap.

    Some of you people are really stupid. Okay let me help some of you confused people out. The director of hp 5 (Yates) Didnt have anything to do with the script. GO on imdb it will tell you that (Steve Kloves) the writer of the first 4 did not write 5 cause he was writing December boys Which also stars Daniel Radcliffe. Thats why the story was lacking and good parts missing. I think Yates did a great job with the script he was handed. Thats why they have him doing the rest of the films. Oh and dont worry Steve Kloves is back and writing the rest of the films.
