The Dark Knight: Bat-Pod and Tumbler Go On Tour

This week I got the chance to see The Tumbler and Bat-Pod up close and personal at The Dark Knight press day in Hollywood. But before you get too jealous, you to can check out Batman’s ride. Rejects passes along that both the Bat-Pod and the Tumbler will be traveling to the following cities across the United States before ending up back in Los Angeles the big premiere:

* Phoenix
* Denver
* St. Louis
* Cleveland (July 6)
* Kansas City
* Cincinnati (July 5)
* Washington, DC
* Philadelphia
* Boston
* Toronto
* Niagara Falls, NY
* New York City
* Chicago

I don’t have the exact locations or dates for all these appearances, but we’ll update you when we get em.

    I notice that the Tumbler's front wheels look exactly like those on the Bat-pod. So like................is that where it shoots out of?


    I mean, it's like the same friggin tire-type and size. Do we see two in the movie? One for each side. Or are they saving that one for Robin in BM 3?

    And finally, does any of this matter? Presidential election in 5 mos everyone. Would be nice if that was a sellout occasion.... anticipated by the grungy masses.

    Nice pix. I got to see both last year when I was living in DT Chicago, plus all the Gotham Police and news vans. Also watched them filming the Joker's helicopter and a sequence where they flew military choppers along the North Branch of the Chicago River.

    According to STL Today, the Bat vehicles will be in the Saint Louis area on July 4th. 3 different times and locations.

    WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! is this currently in LA? and if so WHERE?!?!
  • OMG!!! And what about the ones like me, that are not from the USA? :( And the movie won't hit the theatres here. All we are left to do is wait for a decent DVDRip and then watch it (because even if you want to, there is no place where you can buy the original DVD). Sad, isn't it.

    for all you clevelanders out there, the tumbler and batpod will actually be at cinemark valley view on the 8th and 9th. Just called the theater to confirm.

    Anymore word yet on dates and locations? I really want to head to the Toronto one. I heard that the Niagara Falls NY event is on July 12, which means the Toronto event is on July 11th.

    Why are they being so sparse about releasing details about this tour? Do they not want people to go and check it out?

    Bat-Pod and Tumbler @ the Falls - Niagara Falls State Park. Audiences eagerly anticipating the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Dark Knight” won’t have to wait for the film’s July 18th release date to see Batman’s newest “ride.” The Bat-Pod, Batman’s latest vehicle, will be at Niagara Falls State Park on Sunday, July 13th from 11am-3pm. As an added bonus, the Batmobile-nicknamed the Tumbler, first seen in “Batman Begins”-will be on display alongside the Bat-Pod.

    I heard on the radio that they're in Baltimore today from 4-7, but it's not even on the schedule.


    Anyone have any word on DC yet?
