Sony has released the teaser trailer for the latest James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace. The teaser will be attached to Hancock, which hits theaters later this week. Filled with flashes of Paul Greengrass/Bourne-style action sequences, fast cars, and hot women, what more could you ask for? It looks totally bad ass. Tell me what you think in the comments below.
Quantum of Solace continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in CASINO ROYALE.
Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (JUDI DENCH) interrogate Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.
Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (OLGA KURYLENKO), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (MATHIEU AMALRIC), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organization.
On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world’s most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (JOAQUIN COSIO). Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.
In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene’s sinister plan and stop his organisation.
Watch the trailer in High Definition on Moviefone. Quantum of Solace hits theaters on November 7th 2008.

June 30th, 2008 at 2:41 am
James Bond. That’s really all that needs to be said.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:08 am
gocitizen: It’s “Bond, James Bond.”
I was watching an early episode of MacGyver (season 1) the other night and MacGyver said his name was “James Bond” at a casino! :p
June 30th, 2008 at 3:10 am
badassssss!
June 30th, 2008 at 3:15 am
The fact this movie continues hours after where Casino Royale left off makes it so much more amazing.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:17 am
Great.
I’m speechless.
So many movie sucked this year… but this omg
OMG
OMFG
I can’t wait to see a Quantum of Olga :muhahahaha:
June 30th, 2008 at 3:25 am
Goddam that was brillant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apart from Gemma Arterton characther which is a step out of place.
hopefully they make a adaptation of Devil May Care, that book was brillant and Daniel Craig would be good in it.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:42 am
The main reason I liked CR, is that they strayed away from the corny one-liners and the cheesy 70’s style porno design found in the old films. Which I have never liked. Just couldn’t get “into” Bond. It’s one of those “before my time” things I think.
But once they inctroduced a modern grit and movement to it. It reeled me in.
Dumb name, but the new film looks promising.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:43 am
this cost 230million really??
June 30th, 2008 at 3:47 am
You know ever since Daniel took the role as Bond the quality of the film has been much better.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:51 am
Dench, Judi Dench. Really enjoyed the first flick, and am looking forward to this continuation November 7th.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:00 am
Looks like the most complex storyline in a Bond film yet.
Awesome.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:36 am
Is that a silenced UMP 45 or an MP5 he is holding when comming over the hill?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:36 am
I’m watching this again and noticing how wicked that slow intro into the theme is. Thinking to the last film, that teaser was amazing as well. Top grade for that team.
I just love that wide shot of Bond, James Bond :) walking over the hill with the BFG. It’s cool as hell and the filmmakers know it’s cool as hell, which is a nutshell of how much I trust this is going to be good.
Gotta love Bond getting back in “the saddle” again so soon after losing Vesper. For queen and country, you know. :)
June 30th, 2008 at 4:45 am
omg, really i dont think there was much point in rebooting the series as only 2 films in they i shifting the direction once again towards aerial combat, logical defying action and by the looks of things, towards semi sci fi gadgets, (im talking about that holographic command station thing that m was look at). know what YESSS! i love it, if i want art ill watch citizen kane imo. Oh by the way that brief glimpse of gemma arterton was sexy as hell
June 30th, 2008 at 5:20 am
i like how even in the storyline of him going for revenge over his lost lover. He still manages to fit in a few beautiful young woman…
June 30th, 2008 at 6:56 am
I still kinda miss the cheesy Roger Moore space suits and lasers bond….i don’t know why but that whole movie trailer (and Casino Royale) was so dammed serious it blew my mind….but I guess I was the only person in the world who liked those Bonds.
They could at least throw John Clesse’s “Q” character in to lighten the mood a bit….
June 30th, 2008 at 7:55 am
i highly doubt that this cost 230 mil to make Christopher Marc
either way, i loved this trailer and probably love this movie
June 30th, 2008 at 8:22 am
I can’t believe that some people renounced this film on title alone. This looks awesome!
June 30th, 2008 at 9:09 am
Wow this looks awesome. I was never a bond movie fan until the last one, and this looks to be even better than that one. I am excited.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:23 am
there are few words to describe what will be unleased on Nov.7: Breath-taking, Orgasmic, No freakin way, and Devastatingly sweet!
June 30th, 2008 at 9:28 am
for all those peeps who hate the title read the fleming short story of the same name, its a slow burn with no action but gives a little in sight in to bonds head and that is always welcome i love bond not only beacuase he kicks ass like every other action hero but there is more to the character. this why i feel he can be played by so many different actors beacuse they all show a diffrent side to an who if u put them all together is a very complex and at times human hero.
p.s they have adapted the meaning of quantum of solace from book to film but it sets this film up with a heart trust me…READ THE SHORT STORY PEOPLE
June 30th, 2008 at 9:31 am
Why is it that judy dench always talks in riddles. Once again bond has gone rogue just like in casino royale and everyone is after him. And then mi6 will catch up to him and M will give Bond another dose of riddles and tell him to
“officially” get on with the job. I think Michael G Wilson is frustrated that licence to kill didn’t work so he’s cramming all the scenes that didn’t make it into that film into solace. Still looks good.
June 30th, 2008 at 10:03 am
NICE
June 30th, 2008 at 10:06 am
looks like an even bigger rip off of Bourne than the last one
June 30th, 2008 at 10:07 am
according to craig it cost 250 mill
June 30th, 2008 at 10:22 am
I’m probably in the minority here, but I enjoyed the last (first) Bond more than any of the Bourne movies. Craig is just cooler. He’s the best bond since Connery and this preview has me excited.
June 30th, 2008 at 10:42 am
No I don’t think so Abert, (your not in the minority) the bourne films are craptastic, entirely ripped off from “24″ and ” James Bond”, throw in any of the Steven Siegal films for laughs.
Bonds been around longer the the bourne films.
June 30th, 2008 at 10:48 am
That’s quite a coincidence, I just watched Casino Royale last night. I love what they’ve done with the Bond series. Making it more realistic was a good move, it just seems deeper and more serious - Die Another Day was quite ridiculous. I can’t wait for Quantum of Solace, but I hope they keep with the tone set by Casino Royale, especially the realism.
June 30th, 2008 at 11:03 am
Awesome. Looks fantastic!
June 30th, 2008 at 11:32 am
Just makes you want to run out and see it– ….Truly looks well done—finally some good James Bond again!!!
June 30th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
idk why it cost 250million to make but by God this looks great =D
it made me forget about this one movie i was gonna go watch july 18……hmm
June 30th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Grabbed a couple of similar screencaps of the end title if anyone wants to use them as a background or whatever:

-squeals- This trailer kicks ass! I cannot wait for the next 007.
June 30th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
O, I’m excited for it!
June 30th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
i have NEVER seen a bond movie opening weeked, or gone out of my way to see em. that’s about to change in nov.
holy 2008 movies batman!
June 30th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
BOO theyv gone to far with james bond. i like the original the new ones since pierce brosnan (even they were being cheeky then) r just too modern and rnt james bond anymore. thru the years james bond will turn into a cross dresser then be a bloody girl. just u see.
alredy turned from sean connery to daniel fucking craig.
dnt bother questing me if u like these its coz of the action packed stuff not the bondness like in the originals.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
Bond, James Bond. Totally BAMF.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
I hope it is better than CASINO ROYALE, which I highly doubt is possible, as that was fantastic…
June 30th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Looks good. Daniel Craig is great, but I would still live to see Clive Owen (that won’t happen for a while because of Craig’s contract to play Bond for a while). He still rocks and looks like he can actually kick someone’s ass (I’m looking at you pretty/old boy Pierce).
June 30th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Lord Dreadworth, the only ‘high-tech’ thing in the trailer is that conference table you mentioned. Pause the shot and take a look - it ain’t holographic, it’s just large table touchscreen computer.
That tech has been around for a few years and is commercially available (though expensive) right now. From the people shown in the shot the scene takes place in MI6 headquarters - a group that definitely has the budget for such equipment.
Oh and the teaser rocks.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Well i think it looks great, cant wait for the new movie Casino royale was a breath of fresh air from the brosnan movies which got frankly too absurd in the last one, and were in danger of boring me stupid. Having said that I did think he was good in them but its just that craig is a much better actor.
June 30th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
OH. MY. GOD.
SO EXCITED.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
I wonder if they’ll relaunch Spectre?
June 30th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
I’m there on November 7th. My dad’s excited too.
June 30th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Looks good, I hope they don’t steer the movies too far towards the Bourne style, Casino Royale did a great job of updating the franchise while still keeping it Bond. Some of the action seq’s in the trailer looked too stylistically similar to Bourne…I don’t want to see another Bourne movie, I want to see another BOND movie. And if you’re going to judge a movie based on your inability to understand the title, well, you don’t deserve to see it to begin with.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
I was initially worried when I heard the goofy title, but the trailer is reassuring…
July 1st, 2008 at 12:09 am
omg.. thank you to the person who took screenshots.. read my mind.. and i was gonna take the exact same pics.. didnt even have to ask.. thank you again..
July 1st, 2008 at 1:12 am
The shot of him coming over the horizon carrying the silenced MP5 is so tight.
July 1st, 2008 at 8:09 am
This looks to be a great follow up to Casino Royale! It’s funny that the name is just too intellectual for some of you guys…it way better than “Moonraker” and others. Craig is way better and tougher than pretty boy Bronson. And when are some of you other guys going to realize that this isn’t a copy of the Bourne movies? Bond has been around before Bourne was just a twinkle in a young, soon-to-defect spy’s eye.
July 1st, 2008 at 6:14 pm
I’ve just watched the same trailer as all of you but I sincerely don’t see what you’re getting excited about. Flashes every second or two of action don’t at least to me demonstrate that there’s quality action involved. I’m sure this will be a box-office smash but honestly Daniel Craigs bond hasn’t won me over. I still think they should have kept Pierce Brosnan and gone along the same data and more gritty road.
Regardless I hope this is an improvement on Casino Royale… and I also hope it doesn’t go down the Paul Greengrass root of shaky cameras obscuring the action, along with fast cutting action so you see absolutely no quality action.
Fingers crossed.
July 1st, 2008 at 6:15 pm
perhaps the moderator could correct my error. I said data and I meant to say dark in the post above.
July 1st, 2008 at 7:40 pm
While Bond has been around long before the Bourne movies, the new “rebooted” Bond franchise has not. One can’t deny that the new visual style, the action sequences, and even the dialog (JB: “How much time do I have?” Nicky: “5 minutes”) of the new Bond franchise are not at least slightly influenced by the Bourne series.
Despite that, I do like the new Bond movies, because incidentally they seem truer to the grittiness of the books (from which in turn one could also argue some inspiration was derived from the Bourne series).
So can we all please stop the bickering, and just agree that: yes, there is a bit more overlap between the new Bond and Bourne, but that doesn’t mean that one is inferior/superior to the other; they both are great franchises that stand well on their own.
July 1st, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Meant to say: “from which in turn one could also argue some inspiration was derived *for* the Bourne series”
July 2nd, 2008 at 12:15 am
omfg this movie is going to be freking awesome, i think daniel craig is one of the best bonds ever. and yes the movie budget was 250 million, and the movie begins 1 hour after casino royal ended.
July 15th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
he doesnt look like a bond from any side…so i wont watch that movie…
July 17th, 2008 at 1:56 am
I did not expect much when I got a free ticket (friend had the flu) to go and see Casino Royale.
What a pleasant surprise! Looks like the new Bond with Daniel Craig have e watching again.
The quality of the storyline along with the acting skills has improved tremendously.
Very watchable and awesome overall.
Looks like the new Bond “Quantum of Solace” is set to do the same again. I hope the producers will never return to the days of Pierce Brosnan- Bond days where stupid and utter ridiculous storylines were included.
July 18th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
I just saw the trailer on the big screen and it makes me even more excited than ever before for this movie. It is, quite possible, going to be the best Bond movie since Sean Connery left the role!!!
August 6th, 2008 at 11:08 am
I get the feeling that Craig doesn’t talk as much as Brosnan but that doesn’t faze me- his action sequences are better and after watching this trailer…damn if it doesn’t look like the most action-filled Bond movie yet!
