  • Fabescore
Best Supporting Actress: Marcia Gay Harden (The Mist)
thank goodness this lady gets some recognition
she did a great job in this movie
  • What a horrible list of winners.
  • Best director Zack Snyder????

WTF kinda list is this? Were the voting ballots included in a happy meal?
  • I did like Marcia Gay Harden getting an award. I think she should have been nominated by the Academy.
  • Matt
It's nice to see Lost get recognized for once.

    fucking emmys...
  • Quenfis
Well, I must have been the only guy on earth who didn't know that The Monster Squad was out on DVD.

Jennifer Love Hewitt? So the entire award show is a joke then, right?
  • Chump Force 1
Holy cow...Battlestar Galactica was robbed! Jennifer Love Hewitt over Mary McDonnell (was she even nominated?)...MM's work on the show is Emmy worthy and among the finest on TV today...Matthew Fox over Edward James Olmos? I like Fox, but come on...EJO is a far superior actor.

I second an eariler post...what a craptacular list of winners (other then MGH in The Mist).
  • Coral
I don't agree with like... 95% of these.
  • Greyson
Lost ruled the Saturn awards. For all who hate the show, damn it must be hard hating something that rocks so hard. I guess that's how non-Star Wars or non-Beatles fans feel.
  • No awards for Dexter or Weeds?

No offense..... but Fuck you Saturn.
  • adam
    Dexter did win.

Best Syndicated / Cable Television Series: Dexter
  • StarBlazer101
Was Ellen Page nominated for Best Actress?
Cause if she was the HOW THE HELL DID SHE
    NOT WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • adam
The Saturn Awards are voted for by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. I don't think Ellen Page in Juno fits in.
  • I liked seeing Michael Emerson winning.

I can't remember who won best foreign film at the academy but if it wasnt The Diving Bell and the Butterfly then they got robbed on both fronts.
  • Nicole
...Mary McDonnell didn't even get nominated. Madness.

    Yay for Dexter, though.
  • john
    Will Smith????
    you gotta be kidding!

here's my impression of the Fresh Prince in any film he's made.......

    "ah hell no!"
  • @adam

Oops... I guess I missed that. Must be all that heroin I smoked.. Its clouding my prejudgment.
  • LOTNorm
So, MTV organized the Saturn awards this year?
  • Lacy
Best Performance by a Younger Actor: Freddie Highmore (August Rush)

YAY!!!!!!!! GOOD CHOICE!!!!!!!!!! FREDDIE WAS AMAZING!!!!! <33333
  • nick

    First.
Ellan Page get out of my life.

    Ok.
I'm a huge Dexter fan, that said..........
How does Dexter beat out Battlestar Galactica? Dexters not a horror show. Its a psychological drama. (This adds inconsistancy to the award show) Weeds is a Comedy drama, so don't even go there.

How does Will Smith win, I wanna see the nominees! Was Zac Quinto on that list?

Bardem was great but again (see Dexter) it was a drama, a drammmaaa. Did you see any fricken ufos in No Country, no you didn't. Bad drug deals yes, aliens that want your cow no....
Saturn award commitee your lazy and you frustrate me.

Lost fans, (Greyson) the rest of us are glad you like your show, but don't think for a minute that we care..........

There were some good choices like Heroes for best tv show dvd. Transformers for sfx, ( that was the only reason I didn't walk out and get a refund ). Also Cloverfield I think deserved best picture.
But then again, it would be nice if these award shows based the nominees on a more year round sched.
I would prefer the best SCi-fi horror etc films from 2007 to be judged. With Cloverfield winning I don't see where the time frame is. Its half 2007 and some of 2008.

That's Bull+Shit Saturn, and I usually just say bs ,!
  • Greyson
790 I agree with just about everything you said. Ellen Page can screw off, Dexter is a fantastic show but shouldn't beat BG, Transformers was good for its effects, Bardem shouldn't have even been considered, & Cloverfield was the best sci-fi picture of..2008. Don't know their rules and time line here but it was very interesting.

That being said, I'm not bragging that I love a great show such as Lost, I'm just saying for once my favorite show actually won best show and rightfully deserved it. Whether you care or not it took home the coveted Saturn Award in 4 different categories.

And hell yeah for THE MONSTER SQUAD!
  • 790
Right on Greyson, Lost has won alot of awards if you look at all the awards they've won over the years.
Personally don't care for the show but we all have are favs. Some of my favs would prob not be yours.

    Rock on.
I wanna see the Hulk again. Man that film kicked massive ass. (Imo).
