Film1.nl has the first poster for the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves. Even though we’ve heard virtually nothing about this project since the first casting announcements, Fox is still planning on releasing the film on December 12th 2008.

Dragon Ball looks horrible, i was a fan of the tv series when i was younger but this looks to american.
Ever since i seen the script review for The Day The Earth Stood Still, i ant bothered with this film.

I was praying there would be a last minute casting change when I read this last. An actor with the emotional range of a potato in one of the true classics of our time.
Whats next, a remake of “Cool Hand Luke” starring Keanu?

I refuse to see the remake of the Day the Earth Stood still. sorry, but thats a classic very reflective of a deepy divided era (McCarthyism). you can’t copy that.

The people that made DRAGONBALL say they have been fans of the show. Bulmas hair isnt even blue, master roshi doesnt look old no beard ether. they should have used the 4 star insteade of three star, because that the main one that grampa gohan had. they have no clue. i wish the creator of the manga would have help make it.

Ugh, Dragon Ball looks like it’ll be horrible. The only cast member who I think is all right is Emmy Rossum as Bulma. She looks pretty sexy here, and if her hair were actually dyed blue, then she’d be even better. Justin Chatwin looks horrible as Goku.

They did use the 4 star Dragonball. All four stars are visible on the Dragonball.
Anyways, this movie looks like it will completely suck, but that being said I’ll still watch it at some point because I loved the TV series DBZ [and still love the games].

I dont know what the hell you guys are talking about, the Dragonball movie is going to be EPIC or to quote Mrs.Garrisson “LEZTASTIC”. If anyone has been following this movie in the making, they would know that Piccolo is indeed green…not Hawaiian. I actually like the fact that they are trying to modernize dragonball. As far as Justin Chatwin goes, i’ve seen him in a few other movies and I think he could be decent… Emmy Rossum is sexy. Dont forget Chow is producing this movie so he wont let this movie go to hell. And finally for everyone who thinks this movie is going to suck, you guys can just suck my short dick.

No Chow’s producing this flick. Chow Yunfat’s degraded himself to playing a kame that looks like crap, and Stephen Chow’s escaped from production after he saw how terrible this is turning out and how Fox snubbed his great ideas

My God is nothing sacred? My favorite Si-Fi move of all time and they are going to bastardize it with a “Green” plot. “Lower that thermostat or face destruction by my robot.” Maybe they can get Al Gore to play the stiff, mechanical part of Gort the robot. That would save them money on makeup and special effects. They could also get Jessica Simpson to play Patricia’s Neal’s part with lines like “Gort I know I was suppose to say something but I just can’t remember.” “Do you like my boobs?” Hollywood needs to get some writers that have some new ideas. Remaking old movies is getting tiresome and I have never seen a remake that I liked as well as the original. Did you see the disaster remake of the Andromeda Strain?
