i dont know if i would describe george lucas as 'on the toilet' like some of you have but i do think its a bit over the top. it wasnt like he was making fat wads of cash off of it or something. if anything they should have offered him something, to promote the game and upcoming animated thingamajigger.

Brent, I'm not entirely sure your site was violating any laws. You were essentially parodying the Star Wars crawl.

Parody is a legal form of expression.

Also, someone overseas will probably just recreate what you did and do out of the reach of Lucasfilm lawyers. It is in this way that lawyers do not serve their client's interests as they are ethically supposed to do.

But, anyway, fuck you Lucasfilm.

I'm not angry at Lucasfilm and hope you all aren't either. I think it would have been in their interest to let it stay, as it did generate fan interest in the franchise. But I'm still a Star Wars fan. Maybe in the future, I could pull off a 'generic' crawl, but for now, the site will remain closed.

Also, Brent....Lucasfilm wouldn't be able to do anything at all if you removed the SW logo and changed their text somewhat.

It's very disconcerting to see them be little bitches about this, after all, what you did was something to honour their creation. I would put the site back up, minus their intellectual property and submit the whole sordid tale as a story to Slashdot and Slashfilm. Also, throw up a banner ad and make a few bucks for your trouble.

Ok, I've fixed the text box disappearance bug.

I tried to do it twice now, and when I generate the crawl, the intro and title show up, but not the text I enter.

Star Wars Crawl is my site. I wasn't aware of this text box bug. Can someone who is experiencing it please send me an email at budden [at] gmail, with your browser version, and what exactly it looks like. A screenshot would be excellent if possible.

ya Im having the same problem...no where to enter the main text

Works great for me! The only problem is the audio not lasting long enough -- it allows tons of text for the crawl, but provides not enough music to accompany it.

Otherwise, it's GREAT!

The box where you ener the crawl text isn't there when I go to the page. I can enter text in all the other fields, but not that one so it won't gernerate the crawl...Is anyone elsehaving that problem?
