Hot Toys’ 1/6th-scaled Ion Man, Batman, Batpod and Tumbler were on display at the 2008 Tokyo Toy Show. No word on street dates or price, but boy are these sweet. I’m amazed at the incredible detail. Even the replaceable sculpts of Christian Bale and Robert Downey Jr are incredibly accurate. And if you aren’t impressed with the figures, look closely at the Batpod scaled replica below. WOW.

And I’m not exactly sure which company made this early Batman concept. I’m not even sure if this is a tie in with The Dark Knight (doesn’t appear to be). But it certainly looks cool.

    That last figure looks incredible.

  3. Gravatar

Yup that last figure looks like it is from the animated “Gotham Knight”.

    Cool action figures.

Anyone else blown away by the door on the tumbler opening correctly? Its too bad these damn figures go for like 180 each. God knows how much the vehicles will go for.

The last picture is from Bandai’s S.I.C. Movie Realization line. They also did pretty wicked Spider-Man 3 figures. These are from The Dark Knight. I believe it’s a suit he wears later in the movie. They are also doing a Batpod. You can check out the pics here:

I’m guessing around $99 for the action figures and around $150 for the vehicles. Hopefully i,m wrong and they’re cheaper =D

Pictures 1, 4, 5 are the Batsuit from BB. While the 3rd picture is the DK suit. That last one is the anime-style version of the DK suit and it looks wicked.

I want the Batpod and Tumbler models so badly. :(

    ROBO FUCKIN BATMAN!

  11. Gravatar

That tumbler sucks. Does it actually come in black or is dark beige the only option?

    JFK,

What the fuck are you talking about? That Tumbler model “is” black. It’s a matte-paint job.

Sounds like your monitor sucks. And I need a chicken burrito!

    Cap Awe,

Negative. Exhibit A: Batpod Tires: BLACK.

Xhibit B: Tumbler Tires: Beige. Tumbler: Slightly Darker Beige.
Matte don’t play into it mate.

Other than that I don’t know Spanish. Is that some kind of exotic fowl?

    JFK, its called a spotlight.
    I’d make a brainless joke, but I won’t.

we need a JFK joke like we need a hole in.. oh fuck it.

    JFK,

You need to get your head checked. That’s a much brighter light source you’re seeing in that picture of the Tumbler. It’s a black matte finish, which doesn’t reflect light off of it compared to a glossy paint.

Heres another angle of it, you goon
