Hurrah!!!!
John Carter on the "silver screen"! I'm loving it. I grew up reading Burroughs. I was a young art student back then. I was the Tarzan, John Carter guy at school (H.S. of Art & Design, NYC). I was enthralled with the illustrations of Frazetta and Allen St. John.
My only concern is the dialogue. Please don't make hokey! Consider the dialogue style as used in the Hobbit series of films or the style used in the film "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".
Wonderful. Happy days are here again.
I'm lovin' it.

It's a shame that the live action option is on the table. It should be animated, preferably 2D. But that's unlikely to happen. Still, if ever there was astudio to elevate 2D from children's films to simply films, pixar is the one to do it. Doubt Dsiney would go for it though.

[...] Slashfilm found out that it's unclear how it's going to be released, through Disney yes, but how under the Disney empire hasn't been figured out yet. Don't expect anything to happen on that until next year after the script is done. This makes sense, as the film wasn't on their through-2012 schedule we mentioned before. And it appears they're not certain if they're doing live action or animation or both. [...]

i'd love to see this done by Pixar in the format that Pixar knows best - animation. If they capture the proper tone and take some chances it could be amazing.
