The link was for future reference, it's a great site where you can hear the audio of how to correctly pronouce commonly mispromounced names. M. Night isn't there but others such as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Ralph Fiennes are. It's a great reference.

My memory has that it was actually one of the guests that said his name incorrectly and Devindra did try to get in there with the correct pronouciation.

Shannon, not sure what the reference to those pronunciation links is for. I was referring to the fact that one of the three people in the podcast mis-pronounce Shyamalan's name every single time he says it. One of the other panelists actually tries to correct him once, and I think he even tries again later, but the dude just can't say the director's name properly. Really, it's not that hard to pronounce, but a reviewer should be able to say the name of the director correctly if he's going to review the film, or the review lacks an awful lot of credibility. What sort of film expert is he if he can't say the director's name correcty even once?

@Helena

Apologies for the slip up, although I think I'm the only one on the podcast who mispronounced his name. For posterity, I now know unequivocally it's pronounced SHA-ma-lon, where the "y" is silent.

@John

Our point was that when you have a movie (two movies actually - Ang Lee's Hulk and this new one) where the climax is dependent upon 100% CGI creatures battling it out, it's difficult to feel emotionally connected when you've spent the whole movie trying to get invested in the (human) characters' storylines.

God you guys suck with reviewing the hulk. He is not human he is a monster it would have look even stupider with a real guy. I about throw my lap top across the room when i heard the lord of the rings bit in how to use CGI to change size. There is one thing that is wrong with that the scale and size of him would not work. It would be to the back round that would look off.

Fun cast to listen to as always!

Per Helena's comment, here is a great reference for pronouncing:

http://inogolo.com/

And film specific:

http://inogolo.com/desctag/film

Unfortunately Shyamalan isn't there, but his name is pretty phonetic.

"when you go see this movie and you’re in the middle of the show and you feel like you wanna pee, get on your feet and start walking backwards to the restroom"

That is fantastic! I wish I would have thought of that during the movie because I could have definitely left in the middle of it for that.

this new Incredible Hulk is a lot more fun than the first one with Eric Bana; as usual Ed Norton has gravitated to a "split personality" role...

I got a suggestion for the people who wants to watch The Happening at the theaters: when you go see this movie and you're in the middle of the show and you feel like you wanna pee, get on your feet and start walking backwards to the restroom, you'll have a blast.

@McLovin: Good point about the Cloverfield monster. They both certainly tore through the same territory :P I agree that Abomination wasn't a *great* villain like Doc Ock or Magneto, but he was certainly refreshingly better than Iron Monger.

Hey guys... The villain in Iron Man was shit but Abomination was the shit. He has good character development throughout the film and is growing towards the monster... however he looked like the pussy version of Cloverfield. I kept wanting to see Rob and his buddies walk buy with a video camera. I thought Ed Norton did very well even in his humorous lines like the subway line. It wasnt supposed to be a hilarious line coming from Dane Cook but in his nerdy acting it fit perfect. Liv Tyler had me yelling in her whisper voice at the scrren "ARAGORN!!"

To evoke the immortal Johnny Carson while presenting the Oscar's in the 1970's, you managed to squeeze 10 minutes of entertainment into a 2 hour show.

Hm. If you can't pronounce his name even once, it really detracts from your credibility as a critic.

I don't doubt the movie sucks though.
