Sneak Preview of Disney’s Bolt

Bolt
Movie Surfers has a short look at Disney’s upcoming computer animated film Bolt. Miley Cyrus gives us a sneak preview at her character and in production footage from the upcoming film. Rumor has it that the first trailer for Bolt will be attached to Pixar’s WALL-E, which hits theaters on June 27th.

For super-dog Bolt (voiced by John Travolta), every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue – at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet – a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions – a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voiced by Susie Essman), and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino – Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero. Miley Cyrus (“Hannah Montana”) brings her vocal talents to the role of Penny, Bolt’s human co-star on the television series.

Bolt will hit theaters on November 26th, 2008 in Disney Digital 3-D™.

  • Disney really knows how to re-re-re-recycle their old shit.

I liked this movie better when it was called American Dog and didn't star Miley Cyrus.

I liked this better when it was actually an original and differently-animated movie that looked promising instead of this Pixar knockoff with Miley Cyrus and John Travolta.
  • ANGRY BROOMSTICK!!!
Miley Cyrus is such a dumb slutty bimbo. I don't want to see anything with the dumb skank in it, thanks.

Thank goodness they got rid of the first director and his awful version of the film. This looks much more interesting and coherant.

I just can't believe they ditched the old American Dog version for this CRAP. I had a passing interest in American Dog which at least was trying to bring something we hadn't seen before to the big screen. I've actually stopped going to animated films unless I know they're going to be good. I sat through Meet the Robinsons because I wanted to see whether all the negative press was justified and now I've seen it I never want to have to sit through it again.

Once again Disney suits force the company to rehash the SAME story AGAIN for the 50th freaking time. Either that or the directors are just too scared to try anything different....Oh wait, Chris Sanders DID and he GOT HIS BABY PROJECT WRENCHED FROM HIS HANDS AND TURNED INTO THIS!
  • Ugh
Man this doesn't look good. Chris Sanders! HELP!
  • Chip
American Dog, boy, that could've been great, and it could've helped Disney get back on track. Well, I haven't seen Meet the Robinson's, so I don't quite have an opinion on that, but the last above-average non-Pixar Disney film was Lilo and Stitch, which was written and directed by Chris Sanders. The concept art to American Dog looked FAR more interesting, the whole thing was more interesting. Besides, anything that has Miley Cyrus attached to it cannot possibly be good.

I really hope that American Dog does get made into a film one day soon, exactly as Chris Sanders intended it to be. The design was way, way more original. Also, it's official, Disney has definitely become a sellout. Add Miley Cyrus to the project, and little girls and pre-pubescent boys will immediately want to see the film, right. I think I'll skip this one and wait for Chris Sanders to bring the film he wanted to make to the public.
