Christopher Marc, I have to agree with you The Incredible Hulk was entertaining frm beginning to end. The film kept me on the edge of my seat I was glued o the film. Hulk and Abomination were at each other's throats just as they were in The Incredible Hulk comci books. Chris check this out man.!!! You're making me angry, I don't think you're gonna like me when I'm angry. Bill Bixby, Eric Bana and Edward Norton. Hulk actor interpretators.

Saw it last nite and mediocre at best. I saw all three action scenes here on ifilim for the most part. Norton sucked, tyler sucked, and willaim hurt sucked. acting horrible action ok 2/4.

You notice ALL the biased fanboys check in and comment 1-3 days after the films release giving it a way too slantedly high rating.

better than ang lee but that like being the tallest midget in the circus

I've been a Marvel and Hulk fan since I was a kid. I love the Hulk in the comic books, but I think neither of the 2 Hulk movies have done him justice. I thought the Ang Lee version was too long, too boring and the screen time of the Hulk was too short. In the Ed Norton version, I was bored to death nearly the entire time and actually fell asleep halfway through the final battle scene. I thought it took too long to see the Hulk in action and felt that Norton/Tyler made for a boring couple. I also thought the color of the film was too dark (as is now standard in all superhero movies) and would have preferred to see the Hulk battle alien monsters instead of another government created creature that looked just like him. I also would have preferred more simple, dumb Hulk speech like "Hulk Smash" and "Puny Humans" which I probably missed while I was sleeping. I think Marvel should stop making Hulk movies and only use the Hulk for cameo appearances like in the Avengers. I actually found that the $20 Hulk Hands I bought at Target were more entertaining than either of the 2 Hulk movies. Obviously I'm in a minority here, but that's okay, it's a free country and if we all thought the same way life would be boring.

Loved this movie the only thing I can complain about is the CGI but like someone said no one really can keep up with Industrial Light and Magic in CGI. Acting was great, but the ACTION is what makes the movie so awesome.

Saw this movie yesterday and find its a far greater improvement from the last one. Most of the cast did well, except really for Liv Tyler. I really love her! But in this flick, I agree with above poster, she was too pouty....everything was whispered......BRUCE....BRUCE! She has so much more to give as an actress and this was not her best work.

I too noticed that Mr. Blue's head throbbed and wondered if he had injected himself with some of the Hulk's blood. He will def. be back in the sequel.

Taking this movie for what it was I found it did quite well. At most I give it a 7 out of 10. CGI is pretty good, I mean how else can you create these giant green monsters!?

I like that they threw a little comedy in the mix. Ferrigno cameo was great! Bixby's cameo was on during the scene where David Banner was in Brazil watching tv. He was on the show the Courtship of Eddie's father. Also Stan Lee and his cameo in person and as his name was used for the pizza place, Stanley's.

I didn't see Captain America anywhere! I read the reviews from the earlier posters and looked where they saw Captain America but I didn't see him. They probably did cut that part out.

So what happens to the Abomination now? No jail cell can hold him. Can they turn him back into a man?

I have never read comic books so maybe you guys know what is meant to happen next.

@orange cinema... The only things you said that I agree with are that Iron Man is the better movie and your critique of the Tony Stark cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk.

I didn't think that The Incredible Hulk had a dark tone at all. Not that Iron Man was particularly dark, like Nolan's Batman, but at least it put people in actual peril and focused on the human cost and death toll of the villains.

Blonsky/Abomination had nothing interesting about them whatsoever (besides being good adversaries in action scenes). They were one-dimensional and boring. The Iron Man villain actually had multiple faces and interests and was actually invested in being a competing force to Iron Man / Stark. With Blonsky... all he really had was that he's a soldier for hire who got beat and that doesn't happen too often / he doesn't like it and he's intrigued by the power of the Hulk, so he wants to test himself and beat a worthy adversary. That's just silly.

RDJ was across the board better than Norton in every aspect. I guess Norton just decided to play the role close to his vest and keep it simple and flat.

I am dumbstruck by your statement about Liv Tyler. While she was by no means as annoying as Katie Holmes in Batman Begins she was completely forgettable and worthless in a bland role which found her whispering every line or being out of breath. The character didn't really do much or bring anything to the table. We really got zero insight into her relationship with Banner or her relationship with the shrink and how she'd responded to the experiment gone awry other than he looking surprised when she saw Bruce at the pizza place and throwing a tantrum outside of Dad's tank thing. She was just a complete non-factor. I wish I'd seen The Strangers right after this to balance out her performance.

This Hulk was really pretty mediocre, especially compared to Iron Man which can really be counted among the best mainstream comic book movies.

Zak Penn really made things fairly dull. I'd put this right alongside X3, but with a little leg up because of the chase in Brazil and the cast, who, while normally strong in other movies, was underused.

Loved this movie. My only gripe is with the Tony Stark cameo. He felt a little ass-holey there for a sec. Wait maybe it was pretty good acting... nvm.

-this movie had the darker tone that ironman was missing. (ftr, Fav saying that 'devil in a bottle' isn't an option if it's too much like 'hancock' is a terrible cop-out, and a terrible decision. i'm not saying it needs to be DIAB, but i2 NEEDS to get its hands dirty. for fucks sake, tony stark has steve rogers blood on his hands! lets see some real dark shit!)

-blonsky/abomination blew stane/monger WAY out of the water.

-rdj wasn't better than norton, he was just funner than norton.

-it would be a shame, and very disapointing if norton doesn't return because of whatever that dispute is all about. the superhero/actor revolving door is getting very very old. we like these guys in the roles, and wanna see em stick it out for a while.

-for me, liv tyler was one of the best 'hero-gals' in anything we've seen so far. better than mj, pepper, rachel dawes etc... i was shocked and pleasantly impressed.

-ironman is the better movie, but i find myself unsure of why i'm saying this. i can't help but wonder if norton's rumored 50-70 extra minutes (?!?!) would push hulk to the area of excellence.

-oh, and as for the 11 second tony stark cameo, i'll put it in the same category as the 9 second nick fury cameo in ironman: MEH. wasn't cool or exciting at all. more of an attempt at 'look how cool we think we're being."

-but by all means, i'd love to really see this marvel cinematic converging universe happen, i just got a gut feeling it's gonna be limited, and not as big as i'd like to see. also, i'm really worried about who's hands the giant union will be placed in.

-in closing: hulk smash very well, ironman keeps kicking ass, and the next 4 projected films sound exciting and unique - thor ala LOTR & WW2 cap!

HOWEVER...

the dark knight and the clown prince will bring comic book films to a place only our beloved fanboy imaginations can dream of. oh yeah, let's see tobey swinging through NYC in the near future! sorry for being so long, but we're living through some very exciting cinematic times right now, and its easy to ramble on.

I looked thru all the comments and I don't see anyone making a referance to the "Leader"?? When the Dr. (Mr Blue) gets the gamma blood on his head and he smiles and his head starts to get big. That would be a sign that if there is a sequel that the baddie would be the Leader.
Could be cool, we'll see.

Mr. E, I respectfully disagree. It was clearly not your cup of tea or half of the other people you saw it with. I liked it quite a bit and rank it third among my favourite superhero films. I thought that the whole cast delivered wonderful performances, especially Edward Norton and Tim Roth. I will agree with you that the CGI was not that great, but then it could be argued that any CGI in a live action film, not done by Industrial Light and Magic, needs improvement.

Well, like I said, I hven't actually seen it yet, so I'll reserve critique till after the movie. But I overlooked the comments on the helicopters and gunfire and greenscreen-evidence. If that is the case though, then fair enough, the cgi deserves to be knocked.

It wasn't JUST the Hulk that had bad CGI. There were also quite a few embarrassing helicopters and even some of the gunfire looked low-budget. Just my opinion, people.

I've actually yet to see the movie myself, but I don't understand the CGI bashing here. How do people expect the Hulk to look on the big screen? The Hulk, as an entity, is very much partially human, so, next to actual human beings, how on earth is it going to stand up, what with it being GREEN and all?! I just don't comprehend. What, would you like Lou Ferrigno painted green, instead?

Loved it, though Liv Tyler didn't need to whisper every single line.

Oh right, sorry guys. It seems I have a problem getting hung up on things nobody really cares about, like how good the acting is and how well the film is made. I'm such an old person.

I agree with Frank. Mr. E is a dumbass, I never seen half a theatre walk out in even the worst of movies and this movie was awesome. Mr. E probably was one of those people who already made up his mind before he saw the movie and thinks every movie that comes out should bring something new and revolutionary like almost every other movie critic out there. This movie was great. Hulk is suppose to "Smash" and be filled with action thats what makes him different from other superhero characters. Marvel is 2 for 2.

I liked it a lot. It captured the real spirit of the comics. Norton played Banner perfectly, like some goofy scientist on the run. Best scene was the fight at the university. I really hope Captain America is just like that. Oh, and who caught them flashing Nick Fury in the beginning?
