There is a lot of good stuff in the Onion movie.

you know, i almost rented this yesterday - can anyone give me a quick review of the plot? the only reason i didn't was because i didn't feel like watching 2 hours of skits, but maybe i'm wrong & ya'll can clear it up. thx guys.

it's a pretty good flick. mostly a bunch of fairly unrelated parody news stories tied through with a common plot thread. the story and plot aren't the focus here though, it's more content-centric. kind of a satirical outlook on contemporary society in the guise of a legitimate television news program. it's funnier than hell.

it's pretty profane too so put the kids to bed first.

it's a good movie though, cram-packed with witty ironic commentary on the state of our society. worth a rent.

I love this! THe Onion Movie was worth the wait. Was slow at some parts but worth some of the key skits!
