LOL: The Crapening

The Crapening

A couple days ago we featured a New York City subway billboard advertisement for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening which had been defaced by a group of street critics. It looks like the critics have struck again! I know it’s basic toilet humor, and not even technically spelt right, but it made me laugh…

thats hysterical. too bad they couldn't spell it right. "CRAPPENING" , yes? ;)
  • Captain Awesome
What's a "crape" and what does it have to do with the movie?
  • Jerry I can't believe it's not
Could have been worse, they could have just left off the 'C' altogether. :0
  • sari
The marketing for this movie is all wrong and has too many gimmicks: Oh, it's opening Friday the 13th. Oh, it's rated R. It's borderline insulting and almost deserves to be defaced.
  • What if the twist in this new trend is that he's actually defacing them himself?
  • jfive
If he is defacing all these posters himself its either genius for all the free publicity or it backfires and everybody starts calling your movie the crapening.
  • Joe
That is a better title for this piece than its real one.
  • Captain Awesome
But if you take the "C" off it would be "Rapening" which I think means rappers having a rap-off or something?

God damn, this country can't spell for shit.
  • OH BLAIR
    Niiiiiice.
  • Marc
    I love crêpes! Oh wait...

Signs gets defaced in the subway in new york every day. It's great to see slashfilm promoting people vandalizing and dirtying up the city where I live. Thanks a lot.
  • @anonymous...

Yeah! I hate it when Slashfilm posts funny things that also advocate things that are not good for people. I am surprised Peter doesn't start a Banksy sub-site called "Cool Stuff People Write on Walls."

I suppose that he will now be posting a story about how Seth Rogen and James Franco are sooo cool for smoking weed on Live TV at the MTV Movie Awards. What's next Pete, advocation of horror films, torture documentaries?

This slasherfilm website makes me sick... But I just can't quit it... Now I know how Jake Gyllenhaal felt.

    That's funny..and fitting
  • @ captain awesome
